Had a chance to get over to what used to be my go to coffee stop today. Not sure what happened but pulling up in could fell a difference in the place, "no line first of all". I get to the windows of the drive up coffee spot, Seems the servers are a bit younger then what used to be here. Visable difference. I order my wife and I the same order I have gotten a 100 times. I needed to explain what I meant by extra hot, "flag on play"... once I got the coffee, we both noticed the difference, this was swamp water, I could taste the minerals from the water, a tangyness you don't want in coffee. This was worse then 7-11. I asked if the place was under new ownership since the price had changed, gotten a bit lower, but you get what you pay for... We stopped at this wonderful coffee shop weary from an early flight to SLC on our way to inspect the Ogden area property that is now our new home. We were greeted warmly by the team at the drive through and served truly delicious lattes and cappuccinos. Not on the menu but available: VEGAN, gluten-free crepe mix. We had ours with homemade hummus, cucumber, spinach, & tomato. We asked to add artichoke hearts but they forgot. Was super yummy though, even without the forgotten ingredient. The daily coffee flavor of blackberry whitte chocolate (lactose free but not vegan) mocha was good hot. I liked you could really taste the blackberry flavor. If I get it again, I'll probably go with dark chocolate instead of white chocolate to be more Vegan. read more

Daily Rise is an excellent source for local, recently roasted beans. It's brilliant than you can get a bag with the date it was roasted written on the bag by hand, and the bag I got from Harmon's yesterday was roasted about a week ago. That's about as good as you'll ever find for something you'll find on a Utah store shelf--especially valuable here where it can be hard to find quality roast in lots of Utah towns. The espresso roast has a rich full medium roast flavor, with some bite and with lots of nutty aftertaste. The beans don't have visible oil, even freshly roasted, so they are easy to weigh accurately for grams per volume in your your portafilter, and they go through your grinder smoothly. I like to try whatever local roasts I can find, but Daily Rise combines the freshness of the roast, the exceptional flavor that results, and the consistency for your machine. Probably I have found my new daily standard. Daily Rise espresso roast is called a medium roast and is roasted to the right level for Italian style espresso, even though most espresso roasts are called a dark roast. Daily Rise seems to reserve the dark roast label for their French roast, and French roast need to be a way darker roast than an Italian espresso roast, so that makes sense. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. It was amazing! The staff was so fun and friendly. The coffee was amazing and I really loved that it wasn't so blistering hot that I had to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. It was the perfect temp for me to sip immediately. The cup also kept it that temp for quite some time. I will definitely be back and I will 100% recommend this place to anyone who will listen. I loved the feel of this place. Everything about it was great. We went up to the counter and the young workers were incredibly nice and fit the style of the establishment. They were also very helpful in assisting us in making our decision and giving us info. They were personal but not overbearing. Overall great service! We ordered the Twisted Lemonade and a Chai Latte, they were amazing. The way they were given/presented to us was pretty unique as well. We were able to sit outside on the benches and enjoy our drinks. I have no complaints with Daily Rise. Everyone needs to try this place at least once but I guarantee you will be back if you try it. read more

AWESOME!!! That being said it is important to note that there is no indoor seating. The Good: -Staff!! Super friendly and fun. -The cold brew, points for presentation (high coolness factor) -The hand made espresso drink. Well made and delicious. The bad: I want to spend more time here!! Lol. There are a couple of outdoor tables which is awesome on a nice day. The Daily Rise serves the best cup of coffee in Weber County hands down. They serve a bunch of different smoothies, teas, & specialty drinks. I have gone before and just told them make me something special and never been let down. The set up is dual drive thru windows on each side of a small building. If you want to walk up there is also a window for that. During the summer there are usually people in the front with kids or pets enjoying a drink. Most drinks are just a few bucks and come in decent sizes. Don't forget to leave a little tip too. One of the best things about The Daily Rise are the amazing Baristas! They are always so amazingly nice and cheerful. I have stopped by with dates before and they have been shocked at how nice they always are. One girl even thought the Barista was being a giant flirt & I told her they are like that to everyone. The motto at The Daily Rise is, "Promoting Positive Energy" which is definitely true. Daily rise went out of their way to help me while I spent a couple hours in Ogden. I called a few businesses that day and because of COVID they didn't have a place to sit down (rightfully so). The three girls working that morning were fantastic, they put a small table outside and sanitized it for me. I ordered food and a blended coffee, both incredible! While I was there I met the owners who were very kind to everyone that came in as well as their employees. I can imagine this place being slam packed outside of the pandemic world we live in right now. Great people all around! I rated a 3, but if I was going based off my experience today with Emily I would of rated zero. The Daily Rise is my "regular" coffee shop. I go to this location almost every single day even on weekends. I order a "surprise" drink and usually for my nieces I get Italian sodas. I have never had an issue the multiple times I've ordered them until today. Emily was completely unprofessional talking to me. She mentioned they can not make a smaller Italian soda only the 16oz.. I completely understand, but I ordered a large one and just wanted that one poured into a small cup for my 4 year old niece who comes with me every time and is what I've done every time with no issue! I usually get charged the Italian soda and a little rookie for the use of the cup etc. Emily asked her boss and said she would allow it this one time (even though I've ordered it at least once a week with no issues before) she charged me for a little rookie alone and not a large Italian soda. When I told her I think she mis understood me and was trying to explain how they usually do it she wouldn't even let me talk and cut me off and said very snarky "You're welcome that I'm allowing it this time." I told her not to worry about it and I would just order it another time when the regular workers that know how I order are there. Honestly, I was heated and shocked at her disrespect and attitude toward me. I have worked coffee shops and I know that how you treat your customers sets their mood for the whole day! People get their coffee usually to start their day and you set that tone/mood for their day. I was so disappointed in today's service that I don't think I want to go back and will look for another regular coffee shop to spend my money. One bad experience really can ruin it. Unfortunately, I feel like the service has gone down lately (maybe with covid) I always have good conversations usually with the workers and always leave at least a dollar each worker I see in tips. Also, besides from today's experience just some things The New chai is not very good. Usually I love chai and would get it and my sisters who don't drink Coffee I always order it for them as well. Two of my sisters and myself wont even drink it now because it's just that gross we just poured them down the drain and (we have tried them a few times to see if it was just that one time) Second tip is putting the extra time into mixing the powder white chocolate with the expresso.. it's the worst (in my opinion) to take a drink and have it all grainy it happens almost every time lately. I want to end with normally I love the employees at the daily rise and how they usually ask how my day is and what I'm doing that day and usually give my dog a treat and interact with my niece because she loves talking and ordering her Italian soda..usually even if my drink isn't that good I continue to go because the employees.. I hope that kind of service comes back soon. read more

My only regret in life is that I didn't try this place sooner. I've passed this place hundreds of times, but it took a chain of events for me to have my first real daily rise experience. This place brews a delicious cold brew coffee that they sell in a 6-pack that resembles another favorite drink of mine... You can find it at grocery stores all over the state and even in Jackson Hole! My sister bought some and brought them on a girl's camping trip and I fell in love with the smooth taste and the awesome bottle with a local feel. My sister's best friend said that she loves Daily Rise and it's really the only coffee shop she goes to. Yet months later, I still hadn't stopped by this coffee shop. Then one morning I headed to another local favorite coffee shop and it was closed. I was so frustrated because I really didn't want Starbucks. And then I remembered: The Daily Rise. This place is a little out of the way for me, but it does have an excellent downtown location! They have a drive thru, BONUS! And they have ridiculously amazing baristas. Seriously, the two baristas were the most friendly baristas I've ever met in my life. The menu is also impressive. They have the basics (latte, coffee, cappuccino), then they have some basic drinks that you don't always see (breve, white chicano, chai charger), and then a ton of other delicious concoctions that they've perfected. I was so impressed with the menu. I went with the Van Halen which was a vanilla and hazelnut latte. My favorite thing about it was that it was not overly sweet. Sure, it was sweeter than my typical latte, but it didn't have that overpowering sweetness that you might find at a Beans and Brews or Starbucks chain. read more

I am going to start out by saying I love this coffee gem. The drink I order, Java Bean, is amazing but I recommend you get it in the small size until you know the staff members who can make it in the large size to TASTE like the small size, otherwise...not very good to the taste buds and a waste of money. I prefer to go weekday mornings. The barista's are a little more REAL and NOT fake, they're ALL wonderful, don't get me wrong, but the hanging out the window and being OVERfriendly is at times a turn off. Once a gal was WAITING for a tip, am I required to give one as I go there almost daily, AND their drinks ARE more than Starbucks - so I feel that I'm supporting this wonderful little business just by my daily visits. After that incident, I didn't return for a while, maybe just tone it down a bit. ONE last complaint...the wait time is horrendous sometimes, I find more times than not. I'm sitting in my car 2nd in line wondering why the time has passed the 12 minute mark. I peek into the window and see nor hear any activity? Are they chatting with the car on the other side? Are they in a huddle in the back? I have NO idea nor do I care, just make the coffee and keep the line going, some of us have to work, or have appointments or kids to pick up - we don't have the leisure to sit there for 12 minutes waiting for you guys to MOVE IT! Really amazing! Their house blend is roasted locally by the ownership and is outstanding. Seriously, you can't get a better cup of coffee in Ogden and possibly all of Utah. They always deliver my cup at the perfect temperature, ready to be slammed. The service is truly what separates the Daily Rise from other places. It's impeccable, friendly and usually very fast. You are always greeted with a cheerful smile and an aim to please. Every barista is wonderful! That alone makes the visit worthwhile.
