Came in on a Saturday afternoon. The staff behind the counter were very courteous and quick with our order. I liked the darker ambiance and how spacious it is. Plenty of tables and chairs and I didn't feel we were on top of others. Place was clean too. I ordered the caramel latte and a slice of pumpkin chocolate chip bread. I loved the caramel Latte because the focus was on the coffee, and the caramel was only a supporting factor. I really don't like when places make the sugar/added flavor the star. The caramel was light in mine, a pleasant contrast to caramel lattes that emphasize over-saccharine sweetness over the richness of caramel - it could have been that they just used an appropriate amount or it could have been the underlying psychological effect of sitting on the couch while my kids played games and drank their hot chocolates with whipped cream. Either way, I appreciated it. The servers were professional and courteous, and the rose latte came out fast. This is one of my favorite cafes in Utah! I came with a group of friends, so we got a whole host of different things to try and share, and *almost* everything was beyond our expectations! I would say the pastries can be hit-or-miss, it was unlucky of us to be there at a time where they were almost completely sold out, so we just got what was left and it tasted dry and old. But, only one item being a miss out of 7+ ordered is kinda a win. I loved to see their avocado toast used freshly sliced avocados! I hate that smash stuff everywhere else is using. You almost need to know where it is due to it being tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. But it's definitely worth the time. Today I had a Cortado. It's a pretty simple drink being it's half espresso and half steamed milk. But it has enough milk to take the edge off the espresso and enough espresso not to be drowned out by the milk. No sugar or sweetener, but I'm sure you could add it if you're into that. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. And the shop is always immaculate and has PLENTY of seating. They offer a variety of coffees, teas, and treats. I've yet to have something I've not enjoyed!Added bonus this place roasts their beans on site. If you're looking to try a charcoal latte, I can attest theirs is a good one to check out that you'll like for sure on round one- not too sweet, just right. I normally come here when I'm in the area for a usual coffee/latte, but they also do great tea lattes, mocha and your traditional variety of coffee beverages. They use good quality beans and they brew it well and make good drinks. Nothing is crazy over the moon for me personally but I know this place is absolutely reliable for solid coffee that's brewed well, from high quality beans, and I'm going to be satisfied with anything I get so you can't go wrong. The associates are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and I felt right at home. The background music enhances the environment instead of competing with our ability to converse. The other elements were all present, but the real star of the show was the avocado toast - hands down the best I've tried in town. It was perfectly ripe and topped with garlic and rosemary oil, a dash of red pepper, and a mixed seasoning, and I added a hard-boiled egg. The avo toast was also presented very artfully (see pic).
