1. Service was extremely slow. Slow to greet. Slow to get drink order. Slow to take the order. This was with a restaurant that at the time had less than 20 people (Sunday Brunch). 2. After waiting over 30 minutes for the food to come out was luke warm. The food we ordered was half order biscuits and gravy, smoked salmon Benedict, and one egg with toast and potatoes. Even in a busy restaurant that should not be taking 30 plus minutes 3. Food was not the best. As you can see in the photo the "toast" on the Benedict was soggy. Ii like spicy and expect spicy when ordering anything blackened but this was extremely hot. If the pasta had some shallot, tomato, maybe an herb, maybe some garlic or onion, it would have been a much better dish. The Ahi special was good but it was more of an appetizer than an entree. First off, what great ambiance! Love the nostalgic feel. The food is great, and they take a unique approach. I had the chorizo scramble, which has nopales, cactus common in Mexican cuisine. It was very good and I'm really glad I tried it. My wife had Brioche french toast. Again a unique approach and very good food. The server was fantastic. I'll add that they have live entertainment. Give it a go. One thing to be aware of is that EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH! Speaking with the server we heard of people getting frustrated and leaving. BE PATIENT!!! It's worth it. Your food is from scratch not preproduction prepackaged or made the night before stuff. This is a small bar with a few tables on Ogden's 25th Street. The menu is posted on the outside window, which is important because I think many people pass by without realizing it's there. There is not a lot of seating here for large groups or many groups and I suspect that the bar receives the most attention at night and weekends. The décor was old and a bit cluttered, and I found myself thinking that so much more could be done to make it visually speaking with a newer interior design that emphasized the name and its theme. Muted, a bit dark (even in daytime) and blah. With the pleasant Jade as my server, I got the grilled Brie sandwich, which came with a house side salad. I ordered a Jackson Hole Soda (huckleberry) to go with it. The sandwich was good tasting and the Brie nice and warm. Evenly grilled. Though the menu said the salad was "spring" greens, mine was mostly spinach. It was light and refreshing against the warm sandwich. The offerings in general seem pretty good as far as variety goes and what I was served was accurate, tasty and relatively quick to the table. Loved the atmosphere of the place and our waitress was great, however we waited an hour and 45 minutes for food and it was all pretty unfortunate. My steak was cooked about ten minutes past well done despite being ordered medium. I'm not sure if it was the charring but "chemical" is how I'd describe the taste. One of my friends had an eggplant Parmesan that was soup-like. My wife's panini was "alright". Overall, I'd like to see a place like this succeed with that location and atmosphere but I can't imagine a business where you wait an hour and forty five minutes for such a meal succeeding. After 3 years, we finally got back to this great place. This is a great restaurant with great food. The service is first class and spot on. Today I got to try their Scotch Eggs. Could not find them on the breakfast menu but, our server told us they moved then to the appetizer section as they are so popular. You get two eggs cut in half with sweet mustard and a spicy whole grain mustard. They were great. My wife decided on just a bowl of fruit. Very large bowl and it did not have any watermelon in it which she thought was great. Our server was very friendly and was always around to check on us. The only draw back I found was that I would have liked my eggs more runny as opposed to hard. But great food and service in a very old and unique building. So if you are in Ogden, drop in to historic 25th street and give them a try. You won't regret it. read more

Our group was just passing through on our way to Wyoming, but this cafe caught our eye, so we had to stop. The food was delicious and the coffee gave us much needed road trip fuel. I enjoyed the Chorizo Cactus Scramble. The chorizo was very spicy; just the way I like it. Plenty of vegan options are also on the menu. Our waitress was a hard worker and took care of us well. The one complaint we had was there were a lot flys buzzing around us inside while we ate. We could've come on the wrong day, but I would like to see less flys the next time I visit. Their website claims their food is organic (pesticide/herbicide free and non gmo) so, being sensitive to pesticides, I call to find out if this is a place I can eat. The girl who answered the phone had no idea about any of their food and I heard the owner yell in the background "how the heck should I know" well because this is your business and you should know what you are serving customers. I was rudely hung up on after being told "you probably shouldn't eat here" poor business attitude they don't love or care for their customers and sounded like they didn't even want to be there. The amount of food and quality of food served was not worth the price. My sandwich was served to me on burnt toasted bread. Literally black corners and darkly charred. My wife and kids stopped by here on a Friday night because my wife had heard they did some kind of magic show or something for the kids. We did not see anything like this. Overall not the best of experience but not the worst either. The good: I liked the look and feel of the restaurant. It was pretty laid back. My kids wanted pizza but they were out do we had to get them a much more expensive dish, ravioli. The good was they loved it but didn't want to spend that much on there dishes. I tried it and the sauce was really good and the cheese raviolis were excellent. I had the garlic burger and the flavor was good but a little overcooked. It was a bit dry for me but the flavor made up for it. My wife was not very hungry so she ordered a salad and the cauliflower and carrot soup. The soup was just ok. The service was excellent and the food came out faster than expected. The bad: We tried to order 2 different things and both items they said they ran out of. The kids pizzas and the scotch eggs. I get upset at a restaurant when they run out of things. They did not offer anything to make up for it either. Would have been nice of them to offer a discount or something. I was starting to believe this place didn't really exist. I've heard so much about the Two-Bit Cafe from my family, and yet every time we previously tried to stop in, they were suspiciously closed (I was starting to have an existential crisis: thinking that my parents were crazy and that the cafe was indeed 100% imaginary... or that maybe I was). However, we got lucky over this past weekend and I was finally able to stop in and enjoy a Sunday morning meal in the Historic part of Ogden. The set up of the Cafe is very eclectic - and not in a bad way. There are tons of things to look at, and can keep you entertained while waiting for your food. The old-timey bar is freaking awesome. You can feel the history of Old Ogden while sitting near it, and can play through many old bar scenarios in your head. Along with the atmosphere and decorations, the menu is also fairly vast with options. They have items that cater to both big meat eaters, as well as my veggie-lovers, even offering meals that involve vegetarian meats (yay!). We came in slightly on the back-end of the morning rush, but were seated immediately and were watered and coffeed up. After quick perusal of their physical menu (I have an addiction to previewing menus, and making decisions before I actually get in the restaurant), I went with their Build-Your-Own-Omelet option: a set $5.50, then adding 0.25 cents per topping... really not a bad deal at all. I added six veggies to mine (a freaking super veggie omelet I created!) putting my overall bill at $7. You can rarely find a deal like this for breakfast. The omelets come with just toast (or you can sub a pancake when it's slow traffic - they only have a few burners in the back) which is fine by me. I'm normally an endless potato girl, but adding any more to this dish would have made me overly full. I was warned by my family when sitting down that the service was a bit slower here.... but I hardly noticed. Between the decor and great company, I felt like our food was out in no time. If a little wait is an issue.... just be sure to go with people who can help you enjoy it. We had Holly as a waitress - and she just added to the overall experience. She was very attentive, and funny - keeping our glasses filled and passing on a couple of jokes. Overall, the Two Bit Street Cafe made for an enjoyable addition to a Sunday morning. I will definitely be returning to experience the old time atmosphere, the fun variety of food items, and the great service. I'm glad this place ISN'T just a figment of imagination. Housed on Historic 25th Street, the Two Bit Street Café offers a cool atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The inside is similar to a lot of the old bars on 25th street as the wood work in each one of them is untouched from days gone by. It adds a nice flair to the place and lends to a good experience. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, which was tasty and good sized. The fries were outstanding and the waitress very friendly. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a wide variety of appetizers. I wanted to try the Scotch Eggs but the waitress told me the kitchen wouldn't make them outside of breakfast. When I pointed out they were listed in the appetizers she merely stated the kitchen staff didn't like to make them. Too bad as they looked great. If I could I would give them a half stars because they are teetering on the edge of being really great. While working in Ogden we were directed to this place by Yelp. The downtown district of Ogden has a fun historical feel, and 2 bit seems to fit right in. On recommendation of a fellow Yelper, I ordered the garlic burger (no bun) and subbed out my salad for some sweet potato fries. The bf got the ham steak and eggs. The prices were reasonable and I could smell the garlic in my burger wafting from the kitchen. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The bf's meal was pretty standard, though he was disappointed by what they called "country potatoes" which turned out to be nothing more than big chunks of your standard Idaho spud. He had also asked for them extra crispy, which they weren't, though I imagine it would be difficult to get chunks that size crispy. My bunless burger didn't visually wow me, but the flavors were on point. I did notice that the fairly standard pattie was still a little pink on the inside. I don't know if they have a license to cook their burgers to anything other than done, but I'm hoping that they at least got it up to temp. (if I become violently ill soon we will know what is what). If I don't get sick, then I must applaud them for quality of the beef. It was tender, juicy, and bursting with garlicky goodness. The sweet potato fries were thick cut and a little dense, but not bad. I prefer somewhere in between shoes string and where they fall, but that is purely personal preference. So long as I have a gallon of fry sauce I'm a happy camper. Overall this place has a ton of potential, and the prices are a selling point along with the cool vintage feel of the building. It's really hard to find a bad restaurant on Ogden's 25th street. There are plenty of options on 25th so its hard for a business to stand out from the rest and the only downside of this place is that it really doesn't stand out from the others around it. When you are here you will meet a nice group of waiters and waitresses. They have 2 older ladies who do most of the waiting and I think it really adds to the atmosphere of the cafe. I don't know if they did it on purpose but i like it. Feels like "grandmas kitchen" even more that way. They were incredibly nice and really knowledgeable about the menu and made it really convenient for us to know what we wanted to order. Service was exceptional. The food was great as well. We got talking with the lady who sat next to us and she told us many different menu items that she loves to get. Seems like they have made a name for themselves as far as food goes. They have signature Bleu Cheese Chips that are awesome. However, I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, because I am a sucker for a good philly sandwich. It was good, but i was not overly-impressed. I felt that it was a little bit dry and the steak was just a bit overcooked. I had to put a lot of extra sauce on it. Kind of disappointed but it had good flavor. Maybe just a fluke sandwich.. I will go back, not just when I am in the neighborhood but as a destination from now on. Our small group had the Cuban Sandwich - we had the souvlaki - we had the house salad and these amazing peach and orange flavored Mimosas. All of it was so, so fresh, served hot (not the salads) and they were so accommodating of our special diets (we are Keto - low Carbs, no potatoes, rice or wheat). We travel a LOT (on the road entertainers, so we eat out a lot) and I have been here twice now and both times, they exceeded all my expectations, especially for the prices! After reading the reviews it sounded like this was the place to go for an awesome burger (some say "Amazing" so I put it on the list. We finally made it over there the other day, it was early, about 9:30-10:00 AM so there was a chance I would not be able to get a burger. So I ordered up a Bacon Cheese Burger and the wife got the Crab Eggs Benedict. The burger I must say was not impressive. It certainly did not taste like it was made fresh, it was shaped like a puck and had a odd consistency in the middle making me think it was a preformed frozen patty, not the makings of a awesome burger. I opted to get the kettle chips instead of upgrading to fries or sweet potato fries. The chips were good, nothing special. The wife really enjoyed her Crab Eggs Benedict. According to the menu it was made with Jumbo Lump Crab and that appeared to be the case. The portion was large, so much so the wife could not finish. It came with some fried potatoes, big chunks of potatoes, cooked well with a nice crust and they had a very good garlic flavor. I ended up eating the potatoes and I would say they were the best thing I had at Two Bit Street, so much so I would go back just for them.
