Jennifer is amazing at what she does; you can tell she truly loves getting to know her clients. She is so easygoing and funny--it feels like visiting a good friend each time, and I always look forward to catching up at our appointments. I appreciate that she has also been accommodating and flexible with some of my last-minute appointments. I first saw Jennifer to get my eyebrows done in preparation for my wedding, which was a couple of weeks out. They turned out amazing, and she even offered to touch them up free of charge before my wedding, which was incredibly thoughtful! Other services I've done with her were a Brazilian (one of the least painful experiences due to the type of wax she uses) and a brow lamination. Both turned out so good! I do not keep up on services, but I would love to more regularly now that I've found her. Highly recommend!!! read more

There's a reason I drive an hour each way to see Jen, she never steers me wrong and always takes amazing care of me. I finally caved and gave Brow Lamination with Tint a try, now I'm hooked! Why did I wait so long? I've been seeing Jen for years now, she has always taken amazing care of my unruly brows and other waxing needs. For the past year she's been nudging me to let her do Lamination. Thankful I finally let her do them. Wow night and day difference. It's really fun to watch the transformation as she works. I don't wear make up so it's nice to have the tint and definition of the brows really stand out on a daily basis. read more

The BEST quality brazilian you're going to get in or near Seattle, hands down. Jennifer uses the right kind of wax (hard wax, and fancy hard wax at that) and has a soft touch. The whole process is painless and she has a great attention to detail. read more

FAB - U - LOUS!!! So I found Jenn on yelp just yesterday and she got me in today for a brazilian. Let me preface this with I have been waxing for about 4-5 years now, this was by far the easiest, smoothest, painless wax I have ever received. Jenn is just wonderful, warm and inviting and completely makes you feel at ease. And her space is so charming and smells so good, you just want to hang out for a while as well as look forward to returning. (I can't wait for my facial) I look forward to many years of pampering with Jenn as she has a lifelong client in me!!! read more

Had a wonderful first experience with Jennifer. A cozy, comfortable work space and her welcoming, bubbly personality had me feeling like I've known her forever and left no room for my awkwardness. Super professional and navigated the nether regions like the champ and hero we all need in our lives. Really easy to book, and to cancel/reschedule online. It was all exactly what I was hoping to find. read more

I would like to thank the wax gods(goddesses) for Jennifer Moran! as an esthetician, I am ashamed to admit that I have up until today shaved my girly bits (blasphemy). However, after a good month of traveling I had what appeared to be a "jungle" down there. I couldn't take it any longer, and decided it was time to seek professional help. After calling a few salons/ spas that did not offer same day brazilian waxing services, I found Jennifer. Her great reviews on yelp gave me all the confidence I needed, and as a fellow esthetician, I know that YELP reviews give a pretty accurate description of what is to come. I decided to call and make an appointment with her this morning at 11 am. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ritual was also conveniently located a few doors down to my fave local eatery Marination Station (Brazilian waxes AND Tacos) I was sold! When I entered Ritual, the staff was friendly, and helpful. I filled out my chart, and was offered the option of coffee or tea as it was freezing cold outside. I was told Jen was finishing up with a client and would be with me shortly. After about 5 minutes, I was greeted by a pleasant woman, who took me back to her warm and cozy spa room. Which played soothing jazz music from the 40's which was remnant to the music I also play in my own spa room. I was asked to undress from the waist down, and to lay on the table, where a white towel was placed for me to cover myself until she returned. Jen's professionalism, friendly smile, and confidence really put me at ease. We laughed and chatted as she covered my lady parts with warm wax that was a beautiful shade of amethyst purple. The pulls were done so fast and efficiently, that it didn't give my mind time to register what was happening. We literally chatted the entire 30-35 minutes like old friends, and even on all fours (yes, doggy style) I didn't feel awkward, embarrassed, or in agony like the prior 4 awful experiences I had in past Brazilian waxing experiences. I am so pleased with my new wax that I couldn't wait to come on YELP and share the news. If you're looking for a professional that truly knows her stuff, and won't leave you botched, sore, and feeling violated please look no further and book with Jen. read more

Jennifer was AMAZING!!! Her place has a great overall feeling. She makes you feel comfortable, no matter what you're getting done...lol Definitely going back! read more

Thank God for JENN!! I'm so happy to have found her! She really is the sweetest girl- combine that with her incomparable expertise and I just straight up refuse to get waxed or facialed by anyone else, ever again. But no written review could do her justice... Go see her ASAP! read more

Where to begin...? If you've read my reviews then you know that I have some pretty verbalized feelings about waxing and salons/spas. Jenn has sprouted wings and is making a name for herself, and thus, I followed. The space is quiet and relaxing and clean and comfortable. I love the heated bed to lie on! Jenn has an amazing bedside manor and I truly enjoy my appointment times with her (yes, even though I'm half naked). We laugh and chat the whole time and I'm barely aware of what is going on at her end of the table. The purple wax (the hard stuff) is great. Yes, it takes a little longer than the strips, but its worth is to save your top layer of skin! Jenn has a great eye and can help you through small "situations" with your skin...and not just by recommending that you switch all of your products. She looks at your skin and gives you an honest opinion. Plus, HER skin is great, so that is the best testament of all. Re-booking is always easy and I always find parking on Broadway (but I usually go in the mornings). Do yourself a favor and visit Breathe for a treat. You'll be glad you did...! read more

My mother and I went to Breathe Spa yesterday morning for facials. We found out about Jenn because there was a great deal on Living Social for 2 one-hour Exhale Facials. I wasn't sure what to expect but it ended up being a GREAT experience. She is located in a building above a Pho restaurant (Pho 900) in Capitol Hill and it was fairly easy to find. Parking was tougher, the only option really is to park in the lot behind the building, and it was $6.00 for 0-2 hours. I was really impressed when I walked into the reception area, there was dim lighting, great decor, and nice music playing the background. The chairs were super comfy and she offered us a great tea (water is also an option). Great service. The whole environment was very soothing, quiet, and spa-like. From what I understand it seems like she shares the space with two other masseuses or spa practitioners. Anyways the ambience was perfect. Jenn is super nice and makes conversation without being too talky--I find that when you're getting a spa service done (facials, haircut, massage etc.) and the practitioner forces conversation it's annoying. Jenn wasn't like that. Anyway, about the ACTUAL facial: Jenn gave us little questionnaires about our skin types and what we normally use. I thought that was a great idea and she really customized the facial for your skin. When you first go into the smaller room, there is a super comfy bed with a nice, warm comforter and everything just looks really, really great and soothing. I could've fallen asleep right there on the bed under that blanket. All the products she used smelled great and when she does the face, shoulder, and arm massage it was like heaven. My mom wishes it had lasted longer, it was so great. Nice pressure. Oh, except my mud mask was kind of stinky, but she warned me about that, and it was great, did its job. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we felt perfectly relaxed, never rushed, and it was the best facial I have ever received. She also does waxing services but I don't know anything about that. Highly recommended. read more

Just got back from my Brazilian with Jenn and had to write a review. I recently moved to Seattle from NYC and couldn't be happier that I found Breathe so quickly. I was a little skeptical of the hard wax - I've been a faithful regular waxer (and one time sugar-er) for awhile - but I'm glad I gave it a shot. I won't say it's not painful - hello, ripping hair off your nether regions won't ever be comparable to a martini - but in the grand scheme of the waxing world, it's definitely a good way to go. As for Jenn, would it be totally inappropriate to ask her if she wants to get cocktails and be my new BFF in a Yelp review? Yes? Damn...guess I'll have to settle with letting her salvage my skin when I go back for my facial in a few weeks. Definitely give Breathe a shot the next time you're looking for a place to get waxed or beautified. I don't think you'll regret it. read more

After searching around for a good waxist (preferably hard wax) in Seattle, I found Breathe Spa, with Yelp's help, of course. In short: Jenn is awesome, the spa is super soothing, and hard wax is the ONLY way to go. In long: Price: I hunted around for a while for decent prices. Breathe Spa was definitely comparable for Seattle prices, and on the less expensive end for day spas of this quality. Location: It's in a great spot, right on the main drag on Broadway in Capitol Hill. Easy to get to by transit if you don't live close by. It's up the stairs above Pho900, all the way down the hall. Walking in, it's a really peaceful and beautiful space. Clean, soothing, just the way you want it to be if you're getting a wax or a facial. Waxing: I cannot say this enough, hard wax is the very best way to go if you're not a fan of pain. It is pretty gentle on the skin (compared to strips and sugaring), and after trying a lot of different types of waxes, it definitely is the least painful. Lucky for me, Breathe Spa uses hard wax. Brow, lip, leg, bikini, extended, brazilian...they do it all. Jenn is thorough and does a very clean wax. And the skin products have definitely worked well with my skin. Other: Jenn is really sweet and makes you feel really comfortable while you're there. She's also good with keeping appointments on time. I haven't been to other spas yet in Seattle (but I have in Minneapolis, Boston, and Vermont), so I can't compare locally, but frankly, I don't want to go anywhere else. It's tricky finding a good waxist, so I'm sticking with a good thing. Hope you have the same luck! read more

OMG I LOVE JENN! :) She is such a great person! I love her energy and personality! And she does great work! She is so awesome and I'm so glad I met her! i've been getting Brazilian waxes for about 6 years now and i've been to many different salons and spas to get waxed. I've been to the worst of places and i've been to the best of places. I've been going to Jenn for about 3 years now. I actually first met her at High Maintenance and absolutely loved her instantly. She was very engaged in conversation, funny, pretty, caring, she is just awesome! She made me feel so comfortable. She really makes you feel like your one of her friends, honestly! She is the sweetest person ever! I was soo sad when she left High Maintenance because I couldn't find her anywhere! And i tried going to other places. I was soo sad, because no one was as engaged in conversation, i felt like they didnt really care. Or that they were just there to work and just blank. BUT when I did find it it was such a relief! She totally remembered all the conversation that we had. I didn't see her for like a year! and she remember EVERYTHING i told her! It was so refreshing to have someone that you can connect with! Anywho, I can keep going on about her. I love her she's just the best! And to add on top she does great work! I've been to places where they leave hair and are sloppy or have very painful waxing. BUT nope not Jenn! The wax that she uses is great! it doesn't hurt, and she removes everything! very clean about it! She's great you should totally check her out! read more

I went to visit Jenn for a Brazilian at Ritual Day Spa, and it was the best I've ever had. I've had my share of waxing experiences, tried sugaring, etc, but Jenn takes the cake. She is incredibly professional and never makes an awkward moment. She used hard wax which, yes, hurts, but it's a very short lived pain and worth the results. It's probably the gentlest wax I've ever had. She also is very easy to talk to and has a calming presence about her. It was a very relaxing experience. I will absolutely go back and recommend her highly for any waxing need! read more

What can I say....I love Jen and Breathe Spa! She's the best waxer in Seattle and I won't let anyone else touch my skin for facials. She's amazing. She's always right on time and I get a friendly reminder text for my appointments. How's that for moving forward with technology? As other reviewers have pointed out, parking can be tough. It's much easier to find street parking in the morning or during the day. If you don't mind paying, hit the pay lot behind the bank. Don't walk, RUN to Breathe spa for all your skin and waxing services. read more

Going to Jenn is like catching up with a good friend while getting spa treatments done! Her technique is amazing, she uses fantastic products (ask for the hydrating masque) and she goes above and beyond for her customers! Jenn realized that I am terrible with checking my voicemails so she has started to text me to remind me of my appointments! She moved to this new location about a year ago and even though it is further away from my apartment, I am willing to take public transport just to see her! read more

I highly recommend you try out Jenn at Breathe Spa. After reading all of her reviews on yelp and seeing the 5's across the board... I made an appointment. I can honestly say she is the BEST. I won't go to anyone else. I go to Breathe Spa for all of my waxing needs. I have been looking for someone who gives a great Brazilian for a long time. I'm so glad I found Jenn. Plus, she uses hard wax - WAY BETTER! On a side note... Jenn is incredibly friendly, talented, funny and gorgeous! She always has me laughing which makes the appointment more relaxing and fun. Every time I go in, she remembers everything about me and what I prefer. Love it. Want an awesome wax? Go see Jenn. Period. read more

So so so so so great. I had gone to get waxed once before at another place and went home with a bright red skin that lasted for HOURS. I also ended up breaking out and that lasted for DAYS. Terrible. At breathe spa, Jenn was professional, friendly and fast. I don't know much about hard wax, but it must be awesome because it hurt much less, my skin went back to being its normal color within about 10 minutes and I had no nasty breakouts afterwards. Look no further. Go see Jenn. : ) read more

I have been going to Jenn for years. She is amazing- so glad she has her own place now. Some reasons why she's the only place you should go: 1. Really good technique 2. Totally flexible with appointments for when works for you 3. High quality products, completely sanitary, no cutting corners. She has a nice lavendar oil she uses on your skin so the wax doesn't stick as much 4. Very personable, never rude, awkward or pushy. read more

I was new in town and in desperate need for a new wax lady that I could trust. I have issues with rosecea and because of hormones issues I've grown some serious peach fuzz on my cheeks and upper lip. I needed a skin person who could remove the hair without leaving me rashy and bumpy for a week. Jennifer must have some special wax because I never, not once had a break out or allergy issue to the product. That alone is 5 star worthy. But, Jennifer is so incredibly personable and humble. I am an overweight woman and I have never felt uncomfortable on her table getting all the bits waxed. She is very quick and easy efficient, a lower leg, upper and lower lip, nostrils (nostril waxing is life changing!!!) , underarm took 30 minutes and cost under $100. She massaged hot towels over my legs after the wax and rubbed oil on my legs on so they felt silky soft. I am stoked I found her. She's amazing!! read more

i walk over and get waxed and it's always a highlight to my day. literally always have an amazing time and an amazing wax. i've never had my brows look more amazing and jen always makes me feel so comfortable getting waxed ANYWHERE. if you want amazing brows come here. As a new victim of waxing, this wasn't as painful as I had imagined in Jenn's capable hands. I was thinking it was going to be like a disembowelment over a hot fire, but it was much more like chinese water torture - mere child's play. Seriously though, Jenn was efficient and made light of the work and her dazzling conversation skills made me somewhat forget I was getting waxed, and not just chatting with a girlfriend over coffee. Almost. Should you choose to get waxed, Jenn is definitely the one to see! read more

Jennifer is seriously amazing! It's my second time going to get my eyebrows done here and she does such great work! I love how my eyebrows have been turning out :) she is also the sweetest and so easy to talk to! I definitely recommend coming to her for your waxing needs :D read more

I have been seeing Jennifer since she was located in the heart of capital on Broadway and have followed her for about 3 years. My then boyfriend (now husband) was the one that found her on yelp, I went in being apprehensive because of a previous waxing experience I had which wasn't the greatest experience. My first initial meeting with Jennifer was amazing. She really establishes a relationship wither clients to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Any concerns or questions you have about the type of wax she uses, she will inform you to put any doubts or concerns at ease. I highly recommend her and adore her to pieces. read more

Jenn is professional, personable, and a very talented esthetician. I have been seeing her regularly the past 4-5 months for bikini waxes... this is saying a lot as I have never been a regular waxer (waxee? hah) until I saw Jenn. Had my eye brows waxed and for the actual brows, they look great. OK, so I ended up having a bad reaction to the wax used but this is not the first time I have had this problem. My skin is super sensitive and you just never really know what is going to set it off. I still plan on going back but just plan on having Jen pluck and shape the brows. She is really great and professional and the room is very relaxing. I say go but if you have sensitive skin then request her to only pluck those bad boys away. read more

Jenn makes the necessary evil of waxing to be almost, dare I say it, fun. I look forward to seeing her for my monthly appointment and never leave disappointed. She is a smart and savvy business woman and highly skilled at what she does. The wax she uses is absolutely the best and the care in which she handles everything is perfect. I've tried other waxing spas and no one even comes close! The hard wax she uses is way better and even less painful than the other waxes out there. read more

Amazing! Jenn is totally comfortable to be around, and a pleasure to talk with. I hate strained small talk, but things were so natural and fun. Never thought I'd enjoy getting hair ripped out of my body this much. I was her last appointment of the day, and on a Friday no less and as soon as I said I had to go grab a bus, she offered me a ride home! This is one very impressed (and soon to return) customer. read more

Amazing! I'd never had a facial before, and I can't remember a time when I've been so relaxed. My skin felt so great afterward. Also tried out this new kind of hard wax on my eyebrows.
