I order from Walgreens a lot and am usually pretty happy with service/price. In store, completely different. lots of glass in the parking lot and homeless people loitering outside. Like a lot of stores, a lot of things are locked up. There was a friendly worker helping people get things which is nice. Guy at the checkout counter was no where to be found, could have just walked out. Once he arrived, I asked about the BOGO 1/2 off on a couple of my items and if it would ring up since my phone was dead. Completely rude and seemed to be so put off having to do his job. I simply asked a question. I realize that people in Seattle aren't exactly known for their amazing personalities, but this was next level. I'm sure Walgreen's probably doesn't really care about my online review, but maybe don't have socially awkward middle age men with no customer service skills working check out. This place is full of incompetence, I've tried to deposit money into my chime account multiple times at this location. Every time they act like I'm trying to deposit fake money even when they have a machine that shows the money is real, and even if it was fake it's connected to a bank account that had every piece of information that would connect me to it in the entire world. You need to hire people that can speak clearly and come to work clean physically , I went to this store to get Passport picture the guy behind on the counter smell so bad that almost make me throat up, at the beginning I told him the I need 4 passport pictures, he just printed up 2 I told him that I need two more, at the end he printed out 8 passport picture and $ 80.00 on useless pictures just to not make big deal out of it I paid and left but not coming back to that place. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. The pros are most definitely that the staff, when you can connect directly with them, are caring and engaged and know what they are doing. The really big, overwhelming con is that you cannot connect with them. I blame this on the ownership understaffing and giving them too much to take on for any one department. I went here for a number of years and when things worked fine, they worked fine, but if there was a problem, it was incredibly difficult to get fixed. You can't call because they literally do not pick up. I once actually was on hold for two hours and they finally picked up and then said they would transfer me and hung up (that's when I switched pharmacies). The drive through line is open and closed at seemingly random times, and then the counter line is extremely long and full of a combo of medically vulnerable elders and randos walking around without masks. It's kind of a mess. Again, I don't blame the staff - they are trying their best. The ownership needs to increase pay or staffing or something to actually let the staff do their job, though! read more

Honestly, this Walgreens was among the BEST I've been to in my life. And I've seen my fare share of Walgreenses. The customer service especially was top tier, with a warm smile and friendly conversation from the woman who checked us out. If you need passport photos , this is not the spot. I just called ahead to make sure they were doing it and was told 'sometime in the afternoon', I asked if that was normal and she told me 'i have no idea what is normal to you' and hung up on me. What I meant was Are these your normal passport photo hours, but apparently she's in a bad mood today. This was after calling and waiting on hold for 10 minutes only to have someone pick up and hang up on me, starting the awful loop of the same 30 seconds of a paula abdul song. I'm sure she's a nice person, just not today and not to me. read more

If you need to use this pharmacy, do not rely on the hours posted in the app or online. The only reliable way to know if the pharmacy is open is to go there in person to see if they happen to be open. And the pick-up date in your app might not be accurate, either. I receive emails, text messages, and app notifications from Walgreens for my prescriptions. Last week I received a notification that a medication was ready. That's all it said. So I went to pick it up the following Saturday, as usual. But there was a sign on the door that they would be closed Sat-Monday. They've randomly closed without notice before, but only for a night. Why couldn't they send patients a message telling them about the extended closure - ideally with enough notice to plan for it. It's 2022 - magic marker on a piece of paper taped to the door shouldn't be the only way you communication changes in a pharmacy's open hours to patients. Especially when you train patients to trust the information you send in-app. I work Mon-Fri and have a long commute, so I couldn't go during the week. So they cancelled my prescription (via app notification) and told me to call them. I tried. Stayed on hold for about 30 minutes three different times and nobody ever picked up. My husband was in the area today so he went to pick up our meds and were told that we can't get them until Monday. Period. Not even the one that was filled and cancelled. My husband and I have serious medical conditions. Just skipping our meds isn't okay. We try to build up back-up supplies, but it's hard when the pharmacy system is so screwy on good days. So we'll be sick this weekend. One of us will take the day off work on Monday to drive to this pharmacy and hope we can have our meds this time. It's pretty f'd when a patient can do everything right but it doesn't matter. Missing my meds for this many days can lead to fainting/seizure activity. I know the industry is struggling. But so are humans in general. And not being able to reliably access medication for chronic and worsening health conditions makes that struggle a lot harder. When the hell are pharmacies going to forced to be accountable to their patients? read more

We live nearby and it would be great to have a nearby, convenient Walgreens to shop at but this one is the WORST Walgreens of the hundreds I've been inside. It's ALWAYS out of stock of anything we need and has a dirty parking lot. It's too bad we have to go to another part of West Seattle to shop. Walgreens needs to do a better job of stocking this store and cleaning it up a bit. There are many new residents of the neighborhood who've moved in within recent years who would gladly shop there if you carried things. Please give this store some attention! read more

This is a pretty bad Walgreens to shop at! I've came here once since I live a few blocks away and that will be my very last visit. Parking lot is completely a mess with garbage everywhere. And lots of drug dealing to boot! And when you finally enter the store. It's a little disorganized and not very inviting at all. There was a custom smoking pot while walking the aisles. I started off ordering for pickup an item from this store that was listed in stock. Kept checking the order status and the item online still saying in stock. A day later the emailed saying there is a delay, then the order was canceled. They offered 15% off a single item for pick up. I went back to order and checked nearby stores and the item still says in stock at the same store I was going to pick up (this store). I try and reorder with the offer code. It didn't go in, I even logged into my account as it says you must be signed into Walgreens.com. I contacted customer service however the first email wasn't helpful at all, mentions of inventory counts are approximate, and didn't answer why the code wasn't working. I had to ask this again. They then asked follow up questions of my name order number and phone (2 of those was on the initial contact submitted for this issue, why repeat if it's already there). After submitting that information, I apparently need a mywalgreens account without it will not be able to receive the discount. I created an account but it is still not working, I reread the offer and it expires on 6/6 by midnight, while I get offer codes expire however it was sent to me on 6/27. While I am waiting for a follow up from customer service, this whole instance tells me Walgreens doesn't know what they are doing and it's a hog pog of service to the customer that doesn't fully work as it should, and the company needs help with how they run things to have an end to end look into there operation so it truly works. If anyone knows if this is against the law to offer a discount that has expired several weeks back, please forward me the information. Thank you read more

Not enforcing the mask rule a month after the Governor's order of September 13 that now requires masks to be worn inside again, regardless of vaccination status, due to the extreme contagiousness of the Delta variant. Saw two teens with no masks and another came in with mask below nose. The clerk refused to enforce and stated it is not required. Very lazy employees and/or corporate headquarters doing their part to help spread the virus in our neighborhood. I'll be reporting this violation. read more

Well, I did make an appointment at another Walgreens, which I will also be reviewing, who did not honor my appointment and told me "they used the last two shots this morning and the computer doesn't tell you." It is a dismal, dismal place. The parking lot is seriously sketchy at night. There is a dark alley behind the store that seems to be an open air drug market (unless there are other reasons for people shuffling up to partially opened car windows and passing bills). The inside of the store is grimly fluorescent. Large secrions of shelves are bare or, in an attempt to make the shelves appear full, items are arranged in long single files across a broad front. So much is under lock and key razors, sexual lubricants and condoms, hair products, OTC meds, anything nice. This place must get hit hard by shoplifters; so, a total pain if you don't enjoy pressing the help button and standing in front of a display of Platinum water-based for 15 minutes. The staff is wary and sluggish. The smokes section behind the register is enormous. It seems like a place where shoplifters go to buy smokes and dealers go to piggyback on the Walgreen brand for their retail drug sales. If you can, go elsewhere read more

After I gave my daughter a Walgreens Gift Card, in 2015,... because what teenage girl who likes make up wouldn't want one... her Adoptive mother drove us all to this Walgreens in West Seattle, Washington state. My daughter picked out a Red Lipstick. She had never seen so many different Lipsticks in one place before... and I helped her with the Gift Card when she was at the Checkout. We did not want a bag. I remember shopping here when this Walgreens first opened in 1999 as well. As with most neighborhoods in Seattle, Washington state... it is not safe at night. Came in on a busy night for them. The photo cashier let me pay for my 2 items there vs. waiting at the main cashier line, so that was nice of her. The store was clean and organized. I'm not much of a fan of Walgreens in general due to the en masse of cheap plastic items that don't last that they offer for holidays. The parking lot has signs posted that you're allowed to only be there for 30 minutes at a time, which isn't customer friendly. The lot also needs a good cleaning. read more

Yikes. This is hands down the worst, most unhelpful and rudest pharmacy I've ever been to. I am flabbergasted at the way I was treated this evening while trying to pick up my prescriptions. I'll never be going here again. I waited in line for easily 15 minutes while the only two women behind the counter helped someone the entire time. I never said a thing- not a complaint, not a comment. I would never do that to an employee. I waited like a normal, patient, reasonable adult. When I finally got to the counter, I handed over my insurance card. I've never filled my prescriptions here before. I was discussing my insurance with the cashier or pharmacy tech- not really sure what her role behind the counter was- and she was completely unreasonable and rude when I was explaining something. Wouldn't even give me the time of day. Literally would not even listen to what I was trying to tell her which was such a simple thing about my insurance! I was asking questions about how we could solve the issue they were having and she did not like that one little bit. This happened in all of maybe 3 minutes. After helping the person in front of me for such a long time I was shocked when the cashier-pharmacy-person basically just shut me down and refused to help me. Her reaction was completely out of left field and unwarranted. I calmly told her that I waited in line while she spent 15 minutes helping the woman in front of me and I'd appreciate it if she would give me the same courtesy. She tossed my prescription bottle on the counter and moved to the next register. I've never been treated this way by a cashier in my entire life. I'm in shock. I called and spoke with the manager Emmanuel and he said the pharmacy gets multiple complaints almost daily and he can add mine to that long laundry list of complaints. Bring your prescriptions elsewhere. A pharmacy is a serious business and these people should not be allowed to run one. Unbelievable. read more

This Walgreen has a good location and access from one of the major streets in West Seattle, 35th Ave SW. The parking lot is of decent size and has ample space. This location of Walgreens is sort of near home and so it's a run to if you 'have to'. I was recently battling an epic cold and thought I would leave before work and grab some meds before heading in. As I drove up to it, the bars and windows were all locked up tight and looked as if they expected to be robbed or vandalized regularly. This was an instant red flag as who wants to stop in a place that looks like that when its dark? But to add salt to injury, it wasn't open as they apparently aren't 24 hours. I came back later during 'open hours' and I guess they launched a "Walgreens" card which you have to have to get their 'sale prices' (wish they had noted this somewhere on the sale tags). Not my fave chain of stores to begin with and this location seemed extra sad. read more

I come to this Walgreens because I own an electric car and they have a charging unit in their parking lot. Unfortunately this charging unit is at the end of the parking lot towards the back, which is right next to an alley that all TYPES of walking dead type characters are constantly walking through, hanging out in and loitering in the parking lot. Would be nice if Walgreens showed some interest in the safety of their customers by doing something about this. read more

Long line at check out six people. There was one female worker, working hard, while male workers, at least two loaf about. I wasn't ever sure they worked there, no vest or something identify them. Time was about 2pm. Sometimes they open second lane in beauty department. Not on that Wednesday though. Boxes with items needing shelved taking up lane space unsafe for people like me on cane who easily might fall or walkers. The pharmacy staff has always been very helpful here and very patient. The other staff in the store are always nice and friendly. They do get busy from time to time but it's never more than a minute or two wait in line. They usually have whatever it is I need. I gave them five stars because, why not? I was here today, I've been coming here almost daily since the doors opened. I was second in line. I was going to get a pack of cigarettes. Shame on me, I know, right? But as soon as the cashier was finished helping the person in front of me, he told me to go to another line. As I was the last one in his line, I asked him to please just finish helping me, because all I needed was cigarettes, which were directly behind him. He said, "No! I already told you I'm not going to help you. I don't have to help you, go to another line." So I turned and got into the other line, where he leaned over the counter and decided to have a staring contest while smirking at me. He kept this up as he finally started to walk away. Having some kind of childish staring contest with me. I mumbled to myself, "why is he being such a prick" He must have heard me, and turned around with balled fists and asked me, " What did you just say?" He's in front of me now like I'm supposed to be scared to repeat it. I said, "I just wanted to know why your acting like a prick?" Remember, I'm in the other line by now, and there are other people in front of me looking at this, as well." I said that I wanted to speak with a manager. "You want to speak with a manager, MAAM?! Fine, then, follow me!" I followed him to the back room where he proceeded attempting to get the PIN number in the door. His hands were shaking so bad, it took him three tries. He finally got in slammed angrily into the back pounding on the wall when he apparently remembered the manager wasn't there. But instead of letting me leave, he turned on me and proceeded to demand, " who the F**k do you think you are!? Calling me a prick in front of those people? Don't you know I can kick you out of MY store? That's what I'm just going to do. Get the "f**k out of my store, b*tch!" I said, "sir, I've been coming here longer than you've worked here, and I've never had a problem until now." "Who cares! You're just one customer. We don't need YOU. We've got millions! You're not important! Now, get out of my store!" The whole time he's berating and yelling at me he's leaning over me, and yelling in my face. I said " all this time you're spending back here cussing me out, you could have just grabbed me that pack of smokes and I'd be gone by now. You're taking time off of work to argue with me." He said, "Fine, then, I'll clock out!" He then yanked the name tag of from around his neck, then turned back to me and said, "now you listen to me! You don't get to talk to me like that. I have the right to kick you out! So, GET OUT!" He's standing in front of the door by now so I don't know how he expected a handicapped 5'3 woman to barge her way thru him. So, I just calmly said, "ok, you brought me back here to talk with a manager, so where's a manager. There must be one here." He stormed back out and I could hear him frantically calling for someone over the intercom. Then I hear him fumbling twice with the door code, slamming it open and hollering, " Now, get out!" A lady appeared and listened to his barrage on how I can't talk to him like that and I'm trying to talk to a manager. (I mean, really, hare dare I?) He continued to rant and she was trying to help me past him, and telling him she would handle it. He just kept yelling at me, coming up behind me to get in my ear, and yell repeatedly, "Get out, Get out!" By now the whole store is looking at him. I told her, "this is what I've been going thru in the back,there, where he was also cussing me out. I've been coming here for years and never had a problem." She said, I know you've been coming here for years. The manager has to be the one to kick you out. I think he's (Carlos) just having a bad day. He had some crazy customers come in giving him a hard time, earlier. I'm sorry this just had to happen to you." So, she tried to ring up a pack of cigarettes for me, but didn't have an access code or something, so she headed back with me to the cosmetic line, where Carlos was glaring at us complaining to another worker. She saw him and immediately turned around to go back to the front. She said, "Oh, he's there, I don't want to go there!" As we walked back, Carlos was yelling at me, "Get out of my store!" The manager proceeded to stand in line with me, because she didn't have a pin. I told her it was ok, she didn't have to wait with me. So she said, "ok, he'll ring you up." And she smiled and went to give the cigarettes to the cashier. I asked her how to get ahold of someone in charge to file a complaint. She said to wait til Monday. I asked for the managers name, Jason, and asked her if she would tell him that she saw how I was being treated. She was pretty "Iffy" but said she would. Maybe that worker is her friend, I don't know. Because, apparently, the customers ARENT important at the 35th and morgan st. Walgreens! Very unprofessional, but what was I expecting? THE WORST! THE WORST! THE WORST! The pharmacy is way understaffed and it shows. The prescription refill request never get sent to my doctor, I always have to call and verify with my doc after 3 or 4 days have passed. At the busiest times of the day they will have one person staffed running around manning the filling, both registers, the drop off and the drive through. Walgreens you can afford to have more people staffed, right? read more
