Bellevue Laser and Cosmetic Center - 5 months after my last treatment

I previously left a poor review last year because nearly every visit resulted in waiting at least…read more15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. The manager replied at the time, acknowledging the issue and saying they were "fine-tuning appointment durations" and making adjustments. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to try again this year. To be clear, the front desk staff and nurses have always been friendly and professional--no complaints there. During this most recent visit, they explained their internet was down, so I tried to be understanding. My appointment was at 11:50, but I wasn't called back until about 20 minutes later. After a brief conversation with the nurse, I changed into my gown and then waited another 15 minutes before the doctor (Andrea Jones) came in. She didn't apologize for the delay--just said, "Hi, thanks for your patience, welcome back." After waiting roughly 40 minutes past my appointment time, I expected a bit more acknowledgment, but I let it go. This was an annual skin exam. Dr. Jones asked about a mole on my cheek that had been bothering me last year, so I explained that I had it removed by another dermatologist a few months after my last appointment with her. I told her the area didn't completely smooth out after being shaved off, but that I wasn't eager to go through another cutting-and-healing process unless there was a less invasive option, like laser. She confirmed there wasn't, and said punching it out might be the best option. Somewhere in the conversation, things seemed to get lost in translation. I said I was tired of dealing with it, and she took that as me agreeing to another procedure. She then told me it would cost $750 since it was cosmetic. I was confused because I never said I wanted a procedure done. After we cleared that up, she responded: "Oh, then why are we even talking about this? We're just wasting our time talking about something you're not interested in treating." Like, I'm sorry--I'M wasting YOUR time?? Talk about RUDE. She had asked about my cheek, and I was simply answering her question. I never said I wasn't interested in improving it--only that I didn't want another surgical cut. That is not an appropriate way to speak to a patient. We continued with the skin exam. She mentioned my scalp looked irritated, so I explained the recent issues I'd had (acne flare-ups, scalp psoriasis, etc.). She listened, but showed no empathy for the stress or frustration I'd been dealing with. Her only response was, "Well, we can do a patch test," which felt more like another upsell than genuine care. Overall, she showed zero concern, and it felt like she was eager to end the appointment once she realized I wasn't planning to spend extra money on treatments or tests. Basically a 50 minute appointment for 5 minutes of the actual "Doctor's time". I gave this place a second chance after my poor experience last year, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, today's visit confirmed the opposite. I will absolutely not be returning. Not now, not ever.

Dr. Chiu and Olga absolutely changed my life, and I do not mean that lightly…read more I was referred to Bellevue Laser and Cosmetic Center from my dermatologist after receiving a significant wound on my face that left a deep scar (picture attached). My care started at Dr. Chiu, who addressed the medical concerns via a few injections and an extraction under my eye, all of which was done so gently that I hardly felt it! I was then transferred to Olga for laser treatment. She used a couple different speciality lasers at various points of my treatment, and within 7 sessions, completely and totally transformed my skin. Olga is knowledgeable, caring, and always gave me a thorough consultation regarding the treatments and expected recovery time. She always ensured my consent was obtained and informed (some of the procedures left bruising for a couple of days), and allowed me to drive when and how much treatment I wanted. For example, I had an event timed around one of our sessions and didn't want a lot of down time, so we adjusted the type of laser to still give me results but not leave bruising. I walked into every session feeling confident in her abilities regarding my scar treatment, and also always enjoyed her presence and our sweet conversation! Needless to say, after less than a year, my scar is almost completely gone. Even before the big scar, I never felt confident in my skin due to a lifetime of cystic acne and related scarring. I rarely left the house without makeup for 15+ years. Now, I hardly wear foundation, receive compliments on my skin everywhere I go, and finally, finally, am starting to love my skin again. I highly recommend the Bellevue Laser and Cosmetic Center to anyone, and especially anyone with a more complex case, such as mine. Dr. Chiu, Olga, and the rest of the staff involved in my care, I truly cannot thank enough for what you have done to my skin, and my confidence

I am so glad I got to have this done. I am a woman who is just shy of 30 years old and have recently lost about 45 pounds, but had a stubborn double-chin. It was something that had bothered me since I was 10 years old, whether I was overweight or not. The first doctor I contacted (not Dr. Zemplenyi) said I should get submentalplasty -- that was a little too much of a production for me. Dr. Zemplenyi kept it simple and conservative and said I should do lipo first, but that I might have to come back if he didn't take enough off. I appreciated that Dr. Zemplenyi didn't push me to go for a bigger (and more expensive) procedure, but still informed me about the options. He also was the only one to tell me about potential risks - which luckily didn't happen to me - while the other doctor didn't say anything about that. So I also appreciated that he was honest. Dr. Zemplenyi is a quirky guy and he knows it, but I appreciated that he looked at my chin as if he were an artist. Every person's face is different and I felt like he was really trying to get the best result possible for MY face. PROCEDURE Ok so like I said, I had under-chin lipo. I chose to do it under what I think was mild sedation. I had painkillers but I was still awake. I remember him doing the procedure, but I felt calm. I didn't feel pain. I felt pressure and movement. Recovery was more involved than I thought it would be. It hurt. There was a fair amount of swelling but not a lot of bruising. I got this done on a Thursday, and took Friday and Monday off of work. I worked from home until the following Thursday. Be prepared to take it easy. I should also note that I don't respond well to opioids so I stuck with Tylenol and it was enough for me to keep it manageable. RESULTS I am SO HAPPY with my results. The sheer brain space I have freed up now that I no longer worry about my double-chin? Amazing. If you are on the fence, contact him for a consultation. It was less expensive than I was expecting and about half the price of the submentalplasty the other doctor suggested. I am 8 weeks out and have just a little bit of swelling left and a little bit of tenderness left. I wish I had done this years ago! I am glad I had Dr. Zemplenyi do this for me.

Not sure why I'm even writing a review for here since most of you won't ever be able to shop here…read moresince they require a professional license to be able to enter. Maybe I really like my supplier, maybe I just need to review more places to complete my Yelp 100 annual challenge. But on a more serious note, this is my go to place where they carry most of the brands I work with. The manager is extremely helpful and nice, it's quite rare to see anybody loyal in retail for this long to know the store inside and out and recognize their customers. Most stores are busiest on weekends, funny thing is that this store is busiest on weekdays when most hairstylists are off. They are open early enough to drop in before work if you need an emergency item the day off, but I recommend ordering online if you're going to do a huge inventory since you'll probably get hit the minimum for free shipping and more likely everything will be available ordering directly from the warehouse. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

This was pre-COVID, probably 10 months ago. Goldwell, always out of colors and always the same colors. You'd think they'd figured that out and fix that problem. Now let me start with staff. They're the rudest most unfriendly I've ever encountered with the exception of one. I now only go when I need to. I've opened wholesale accounts with most lines that would let me. Some won't allow it because Cosmoprof is their distributor.

Great store minus the snotty lady at Saint Laurent purse dept…read more I've been at least twice now everytime I'm here. Somehow we always end up parking here and walking though or end up shopping here. I love a good Nordstrom. They usually have the friendliest sales people and whenever I buy anything esp at the cosmetic department-they always throw in tons a free samples. I gotta admit. I'm a sucker for free samples beauty. We came here to check out some new Tom Ford perfume drops. https://www.tomfordbeauty.com/products/figue-erotique-eau-de-parfum The sales people here were very nice to give us samples and let us walk around a bit since perfume you have to have it on at least 30 minutes or longer to truly determine how it mixes with your own chemistry. We also always end up wondering into the purse department mainly Saint Laurent. I wanted to see their White Jamie bag in person. https://www.ysl.com/en-us/pr/small-jamie-shopping-in-lambskin-833948AAB329207.html It's a greyish white which I like since a bright white bag isn't really my thing. Although I think I could be talked into buying one but the sales woman here couldn't be bother with. She acted like we were going to steal them. Lady, I own 4 Saint Laurent purses! Give me a break! Overall it's a good store, there people are really nice and the service is always top notich minus the snotty woman as Saint Laurent.

NORDSTROM @ BELLEVUE SQUARE…read more Parking is available in any of the parking garages, but I highly recommend parking near Nordstrom, on the side closest to QFC. There's plenty of parking available. While it can get busy on weekends, you should still be able to find a spot without too much trouble. I really like this Nordstrom overall. It has an incredible mix of different styles and brands, featuring both small businesses and well-known luxury companies. You'll find brands like Chanel, along with many others, all in one place. Nordstrom has three floors: the first floor is mainly shoes and makeup, the second floor focuses on women's clothing with several high-end stores, and the third floor is mostly for kids' clothing and shoes. I would definitely recommend stopping by. There are usually some great sales, especially around seasonal times. They also have a Nordstrom Café and their iconic Ebar, which offers Nordstrom's signature drinks. The staff here are very friendly, and the store offers a great balance of value and selection. I also love how beautifully they decorate the space, especially during the holidays. The reindeer, trees, and festive décor make it absolutely gorgeous.
