I have been going to this Sally's location for at least the past 15 years and have always had a good experience with the staff except at one point there was a manager who always opened late sometimes even 30 minutes late but now there is a new manager and she's great. I have been a hairstylist for 27 years and appreciate the knowledge of the new manager about the product line. Sometimes the store is out of what I need even for a length of time but I believe that is largely due to Covid. Other than that I like the store and everyone seems quite friendly! read more

This place used to be great. I have mobility issues and the people were so good about fetching the products I wanted. I was in today for the first time since they changed hands. The help was terrible. I felt that only half of what I was saying was understood or being paid attention to. I told them the products I was looking for were offered online and they weren't at all interested. This place doesn't even deserve one star. Maria, the girl who was working in the front was so rude, lazy, unknowable in the product and reeked of weed. I watched her be rude to multiple customers and just be out of it in general. Upon leaving my friend asked for her name so we could call and let someone know how awful she was. She proceeded to get a attituda and asked why we needed her name. When we told her why she actually said "well she came at me first", implying my friend was rude first and that made her deserve the horrible service. I have been in customer service for 30 plus years and have never treated anyone with such disrespect and attitude. read more

And if you are licensed you get an even better deal on the items. Great place to get bobby pins!! I bought my iron straight and never been use returned one times because the control temperature is not working . and they give me a news one it happen same. But they don't let me return. the worker there are respectful sad that if u unbox can not return. Came in looking for a product to remove temporary dye from my hair. The young lady working was friendly, courteous and could probably have sold me something that would do the trick. Instead, she was nice enough to suggest using Dawn dish detergent which I already had at home. Worked great! And with no damage to my hair! Thanks! This location is great; plenty of parking, great employees, well lit, clean and they carry a ton of products at very reasonable prices. Shamed by my diy hair color and never wanting to see another product that says bleach or blonde again. I walk into their store wanting to darken my hair to cover the bright orange disaster. The knowledgeable sally's staff member Sam- talk me out of darken my hair; and save the day by showing the right products to use to get the tone down bright orange to a dark blonde . She was so right and came out perfect. Thank you SAM for saving the day and keeping me from going to work with a complete hair disaster. read more

Walked in looking for a generic electric shaver, two associates were in the store & it was pretty busy. The first associate I spoke to was right behind the counter where the shavers were, she let me browse without really being bugged & she was very helpful & cheerful, I liked that. I walked around & bought some things, so did my girlfriend, & we headed back up to the counter to get that shaver. The first girl did not ring me out, second cashier came out of back & she was a little slow with scanning the purchases ahead of us. Then she got to me & she couldn't properly explain the protection plan for my shaver, but I got it anyway because it was cheap & I understood what their all about, she was a little flustered & forgot to ring up some of my purchase so my card has to be ran through twice. No biggie but just notable. My girlfriends purchases were scanned with little problems. The store was clean & well organized, & they handled the crowd in their pretty well. 4 stars, will be 5 when the second associate gets on the top of her game. read more

I ventured into Sally Beauty Supply to gather supplies for dyeing my hair. I had only used box color/developer in the past, so I had lots of questions after doing lots of research. Your clerk/product specialist, Jonesha, was very kind and patient with me, and was very knowledgeable about the products. Everybody who walks through the door is met with a friendly hello and somebody waiting to help you. Very clean and organized store. I will be buying my hair products from Sally and dump the ineffective drugstore brands I've been using for 25 years, nor will I pay my colorist $125 to color my hair. Using Jonesha's recommendations, I dyed my hair from black to red using a Loreal Hi-Color/Hi-lift color along with Ion's 30 developer for sensitive scalp. Followed with an Ion Effective Care Intense treatment packet, left my hair soft and glossy. I signed up for a Sally card to receive the club prices, the card is only $5 per year and paid for itself in one visit. I got a $2 off my next purchase coupon, and plan to be back to restock my color supplies. Thanks Jonesha! :) read more

I've been customer of this store for awhile, but on April 2018 i bought a hair extension and the lady forgot to put it on my bags when i got home i called the store and they said the extensions are here you can pick it u anytime; that week i had to travel so i was gone for a almost a month when i came back i went to the store and the manager said can't give you credit or your hair extension without the receive it was hard i kept going for 3 months explaining to different people what had happened and gave up. now on November 2018 i found the receive and I went to the store it was a hold new staff and the Manager Angie Wax understood my situation and even thought it was 7 months she took care it and gave me an store credit. What i like it was not the credit it was the kindly way that she was trying to find a solution. Sad day! I only write GOOD reviews! Regardless, today is Feb. 22, 14 and I had some merchandise to return. The girl with multicolored hair with green and I think some orange-ish (not sure what she was going for) said I cannot return! I inquired about putting the dollar amount on a gift card (as they normally do), I fully understand why they don't give monies back..and she still said no that I need to talk with SUPERIOR although nothing was damaged or even used! They do these things every day! I don't know why she singled me out, however I WILL see this through and get that gift card because I should not have to use products that irritate mine and my family's skin. (Yes I ALMOST got to tell her that's the reason I'm returning, but HER ATTITUDE AND HER REPEATED CUTTING ME OFF MID SENTENCE, didnt allow it). Another occasion I called the store and she said they were closed (i recognized her attitude and voice..ha!) I said hi, what are regular hrs and she said 'until now'! Then SHE HUNG UP ON ME! Terrible service and I hope ERIKA sees this and talks to her employee with ugly hair with mostly blonde/orange and xmas green stripe about being an UTTER DISASTER that needs some kind of professional help. This place is generally always open when I am in dire need of cherry red lipstick and eyeliner. Their products are generally sold exclusively at thier stores, as they try to seperate themselves from superstore such as Walmart, Freddies, Safeway, etc. Staff always greats you but is not always the friendliest. I NEVER write reviews but today I decided to take 5 precious minutes out of my busy schedule to let you know that I was very pleased with the customer service I received from Erika, the store manager. Let me tell you why. I am an African American girl with natural hair, in the past I have come to this Sallys to buy products to deal with my hair after I cut it all off and went natural. The crazy thing is that the African American girl who works there, I think her name Chelsie, has never really helped. Erika on the other hand has been helpful on more than one occasion, dealing with me even when I was being a pain in the butt trying to decide what products to use on my hair. She not only guided and educated me on products but she was also so nice. And Erika is white! I don't mean to pull out the race card but I mean she does not even have the same hair as me but she took the time to help me figure things out. That's all. I hope upper management reads this. She is awesome. Ps. This store does not have enough products for natural black hair though. read more
