Loved the variety of options in the menu at Jelly! The longer we looked the more interesting things we found. The place is super cute inside, but sadly our service was extraordinarily slow. Waiting to order, trying to request our check, then actually paying- it all took way longer than it should have. We really enjoyed our food and drinks and would definitely return and hope for more efficient service!
A great local spot for the donut or breakfast lover! I got the chance to try Jelly in all its glory with a friend a few weekends ago, and highly recommend! This cozy spot offers all your favorite breakfast classics, and some Denver favorites. A standout amongst the chain brunch spots in this city, in my opinion! Their orange juice is fresh squeeze, the interior is quaint, and the hospitality is top tier. Our server and the host were both so nice! The number one thing that should be on your list when visiting Jelly has to be the donut hole flight. Each donut is delicious, and their menu includes a wide variety. My two favorites were the Lemon and the Thai Peanut options. Give this spot a visit!
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cool funky place with good breakfasts. Our friends recommended this place for breakfast and they didn't steer us wrong. Loved the funky retro vibes, anchored by a wall showcasing some vintage cereal boxes. I got the cream cheese and salmon loaded toast and hubby got the veggie burrito--both very good. My potatoes were a bit underdone but it's a minor quibble. We also had to get a 4 pc order of donut bites, which were a decadent and scrumptious treat. Service was great and prices reasonable--we're fans!
Very impressed! I had the white chocolate mocha with cookie dough whiskey, a white chocolate mocha, a cinnamon roll pancake, the challah French toast, and tried all the donut holes. Honestly, I would go back just for the donut holes- they were all topped with various flavors- peanut, raspberry jam, and the crème were standouts, the only one I didn't care for was the maple. And they were served WARM. The donut itself wasn't overly sweet, it really let the topping shine. The cinnamon roll pancake was very, very sweet, and the French toast was good but not my favorite thing. Next time I would try an eggs Benedict or a biscuit and gravy. There were so many dishes that looked great! Love that they offered so many gluten free options as well. I really appreciated the patience of our server, who was very sweet and helpful while I waited for my (very late) friend. The interior of the restaurant is really fun- super whimsical! Overall, I would recommend and will be back!
Good, classic American breakfast spot in Cap Hill. The donuts are a fun starter where you can mix and match different flavors. The breakfast burrito was big and delicious. Overall a good experience with decent food and service and a cool breakfast vibe. I would recommend a visit.
I've been to Jelly a few times and it's usually pretty solid! I love the interior with the vintage cereal boxes and overall aesthetic. The sweet breakfasts such as the cinnamon roll pancakes all definitely worth it! Unfortunately, I came in on a diet and tried to order one of the healthier options. I went with the avocado caprese toast with their mixed greens on the side. Now tell me why this was $17? Take a look at the photo. It's a single piece of toast with avocado, halved tomatoes and dots of mozzarella cheese. Something that probably cost them $1 to make. It tasted as good as it looked. They should at least add some egg whites or meats to this. Instead it's just a piece of bread with vegetables thrown on top of it. Beware of this meal, what were they thinking!
Came here on a Sunday for a late brunch with three friends. Street parking, and online reservation line available. We went around 1:30pm so it wasn't too busy. It felt like a cafe, nothing to write home about but clean and did the trick. Our waitress was lovely and check on us when necessary. Made a great recommendation to start with the Challah French toast. The only reason I took away one star was an odd interaction with one of the people who dropped out food off. He dropped it on the table, really loud which startled us all, didn't say anything and then walked away. We thought maybe he had dropped it and was embarrassed idk, but it was really strange. I said something out loud about how weird that was, and I hope it was an error. When he came to drop off the rest of the food he asked who's food was who and seemed to be more calm this time. It was a little better but still such a strange interaction. Overall 4/5 stars
You can now reserve your spot in line on their website.. I love the retro atmosphere and the staff is always friendly and attentive! The breakfast selections are great and they have options if you don't want breakfast food. I had the fried rice dish, so good although I don't know that it needs potatoes; my boyfriend had the special corned beef has scramble and the corned beef is fresh not the chopped up kind..so good! They also had a fresh strawberry lemonade with vodka on special for $4..oh yea, it was amazing! love you jelly!
After a positive experience before, I came back to Jelly with a group of friends. I ordered the breakfast burrito (with meat) while another friend ordered the vegetarian burrito. Our food arrived and we asked the waiter which burrito contained meat and he hesitated. I said that I had ordered my burrito with avocado, so he said that the one burrito without avocado must have no meat. Once my friend bit in though, it was pretty obvious that there was pork included. It took us several minutes to flag down a waitress, and she apologized and said it would be fixed immediately. A new burrito was brought out and another waiter just said they had a lot of new staff as a way of apologizing. The restaurant did remove the burrito from the bill but it felt like a pretty big mistake to make and be taken so lightly. My breakfast burrito was still as enjoyable as I remembered it from before, and was super flavorful from the green chili. The food was good but the experience tainted a bit by the mishap!
Wouldn't be Sunday without having brunch. I came here because all the breakfast foods sounded so good on the menu. Came around 10am and waited about 15 minutes for a seat at the bar (longer wait if you want a table). I ordered: breakfast burrito, half a cornflake French toast, and drip coffee. The French toast has so many layers of flavor: a crunchiness added by the cornflakes, gooey sweetness from the challah, and a tart/sweetness from the fruit. The breakfast burrito I got with green chili (you can't come to Colorado without trying green chili). The green chili has a light flavor that goes well with the green chilies and pulled pork. The burrito is a good mix of pulled pork, chorizo, scrambled egg, etc. I did find a few shell pieces in the scrambled egg, but overall the burrito was very very scrumptious! The drip coffee I believe is from Pablo's (right down the block), and is your standard drip coffee. The espresso machine wasn't working, otherwise would have probably gotten a latte. The service was amazing! Even though it was very busy, the bartender/waitress was very attentive and checked in at regular intervals. Inside, my favorite aspect would be the signs (see pictures). I liked the height of the stools and that there was a bar for your feet (for those shorties out there) both on the stools and on the lower part of the counter. There are so many more menu items that sounded good. Will likely be back next time I'm in the area!
I thought the food was a little bland. The service was rushed, even though it wasn't very busy. Parking is tough, it's street parking. I went around the street twice and luckily found a spot down the street. There's a homeless guy sitting directly at the front door smoking, so that ruined the food experience a bit. Not the homelessness but the smoking right there. Wish the manager had said something to him. The donuts are flavorful and the coffee is strong. Go for those and you'll be happy.
My husband and I were in town for the weekend. We always look for a place that has good vibes while traveling. Jelly was that for us. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive, and was absolutely adorable. She was great to offer recommendations, and answer any questions we had. I got a chai latte, and the salmon Benedict. They were both absolutely delicious! My husband got the burrito and said it was great also. We got the Bloody Marys, which are a house mix, and we loved them! Best bloody we've had in a while. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Denver!
This small local chain has a nice selection of breakfast items. I had the blueberry lavender pancakes - which were great, with blueberries inside and a blueberry compote on top. Add a touch of syrup and wallah! Delicious! Jamie had a nice veggie Benedict, with a side salad. They have specialty donuts too - which we didn't get. Many people around us did. The seemed to enjoy them. The donuts are sort of like aebelskivers. Our service was solid and friendly. The vibe here has energy but is also laid back. Recommended!! read more

Great little neighborhood spot for breakfast in Cap Hill. It has a cute, retro vibe that matches a lot of the other popular spots on 13th street. The service is always pretty good, and the food is yummy. Don't expect anything life changing, but it's a great place to stop in for a weekend brunch before doing some shopping or hanging out in Cap Hill. read more

We were in Denver to see Crowded House and had breakfast at Jelly Cafe, which was near our Airbnb. Everything we tried was delicious. I had the cornflake french toast with berries - crunchy exterior, great berry compote, perfectly cooked. My husband went for the bacon jalapeno corn pancakes - a wonderful blend of salty/sweet/spicy goodness. Their coffee (dh had drip, I had a latte) was excellent. I didn't get any pictures of the vintage cereal boxes which decorate the restaurant, but they have some very cool '80s movie and music posters adorning the restroom. read more

Food was just ok, nothing special. Service was good. We went out of our way to come here and it just wasn't worth it. The donut bites were good, but not memorable. I had a typical scramble and unknowingly paid extra for the driest biscuit I've ever had in my life. I attempted to eat it with the tiny serving of butter and jelly they provided, but it just crumbled. The tablespoon of jelly they served with it was actually the best part of the meal. My husband had a Bloody Mary and the Haco Benedict and said it was good. They serve most dishes with a side of red potatoes that appear to be boiled, unlike the crispy potatoes I'm used to from most diners. Portions are pretty large and outdoor seating is dog friendly. read more

I wish I had tried some donut bites! Great service here, fast and friendly! Coffee was delicious, my northwest scramble was very filling and helped with the bit of altitude sickness I was feeling since I had just flown into Denver to visit. I loved the retro decor and vibe of the restaurant! Definitely recommend for breakfast and brunch. read more

I had the Pueblo (w/ gf toast), chai latte, and the gluten free jelly bites. The meal was a little under-seasoned but the jelly bites were very good. I wouldn't recommend the chai latte, tasted more like cinnamon water. read more

I'm not the biggest brunch person, but this place certainly caught my attention. The service is great, and the food is good. The place was busy when I went, but it's really great that they have the Yelp waitlist available so that people don't have to wait 2+ hours outside. That said, they do have to-go options available with a number of espresso drinks and even their uniquely flavored donut bites! They have a pretty extensive menu. I ordered their sweet potato hash, which I thought was great! I do love their in-house jelly and the hot sauces they provided. My friend ordered the chilaquiles with red chile that she also enjoyed. While I thought the donut bites were fun, I do not think I would order them again. They are all the same base (plain) with various icings. The mexican chocolate was a fun flavor, as was the creme anglaise. I would not recommend the Thai peanut, but perhaps I am biased as I associate this flavor with spring rolls, not necessarily for dessert items. They also had a seasonal menu that seemed fun, though I did not order anything from it. Many of their sweeter brunch items, including their cocktails, also seemed promising that I would like to return and try out. read more
This place is a mood. They have a virtual waitlist and usually if you come before it being your turn - they sit you right away. It's a nice little spot in the neighborhood with the cutest hipster staff. Everyone is friendly and trendy af. I've been here multiple times now and here is my advice: skip the mini donuts - do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon roll pancakes. Warm and gooey and the flavor is just immaculate. The corned beef hash is amazing as well and both of these dishes are perfect to share for a little sweet and savory. I've also gotten the chiliquiles here as well and they were great. We will continue coming here as long as we live nearby :) read more

Recommend making a reservation as it was packed when I arrived. Food was good. Good ambiance as what is expected from a busy brunch spot. Service could improve as the server was a bit standoffish. The donut holes were tasty as weren't too sweet. read more

Solid brunch spot with good food that my friend and I love to come to when visiting Denver. The cinnamon roll pancakes taste exactly like you hope they would and melt in your mouth. The ambiance is retro-pop hipster with the walls decorated with cereal boxes and the bathrooms decorated with classic rock star posters. Service is always friendly. I've lived here for just over a year now and love coming to this neighborhood breakfast spot. I love that it opens early where random singles like me can enjoy social breakfast counter life. The service is super friendly and chill. I really like seeing the same people working there. It makes it feel very neighborhoody. I like having a breakfast or brunch cocktails there with friends from the neighborhood. It's such a cute fun place and financially accessible! They have an open mic night that I WILL attend at some point!! read more

The brunch here is wonderful. I tried all the donut holes and they were okay. I thought they were filled with the flavor the donut holes are just topped with the flavors. The eggs Benedict was amazing! The place is small but very cute. The service was great and friendly. read more
Absolutely amazing! The donut holes (bites) were so great! Especially with a cocktail! The service was great as well, the staff is so friendly! I definitely would like to come here and just sit at the counter and have a morning cocktail! The cereal box decor made the place feel so retro in a good way! They also sell really fun magnets with fun retro cereal boxes! The only reason I knocked off a star is because my chilaquile chips were a little stale and they didn't have all the drink options on the menu. I really wanted the cookie cocktail but unfortunately they couldn't make it. Hoping to come back and have it! read more

This was a good place to visit in Denver. We pooped in before a walking tour. We started with the donut holes and tried different flavors. I really liked the salted caramel. I had the chilaquiles which were good but not the best I have had but still tasty. The pancake was nice and fluffy. This was a cute spot to stop in and if I lived in the area I would return. read more

I LOVE breakfast and usually enjoy any breakfast/brunch experience, but my experience at Jelly was truly phenomenal! The service, ambiance, unique decorations and exceptional menu really stood out to me. You can add yourself to the digital waitlist using the Yelp app, which was an awesome time saver since the wait was crazy long. That way you can walk around or get a coffee while you wait. The menu had so many options and I loved all of the vegan/vegetarian options! There is something for everyone here and all of the dishes are so original. Even the vegan breakfast burrito which came topped with a jackfruit chili. My bf ordered that and I was blown away by the melody of flavors when I tried it. It's always hard for me to resist eggs Benedict but I opted for the Aztec hash because it looked so amazing and like nothing I'd ever seen before! It was made with wild rice, pomegranates which added sweetness amongst the spice and savory flavors, potatoes, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. All topped with eggs and a side of toast with jelly, I got sweet, savory, wholesome and delicious in one meal! I devoured every bite and honestly can't wait to come back and try more items (like the donut bites or cinnamon roll pancake!) read more

I visited Jelly on a Tuesday afternoon during my recent trip to Denver. The food was solid and I'd certainly return the next time I'm there. The Donut Bites were worth trying!!! I highly recommend trying the salted caramel and maple bacon (I think that's the name). They were my favorite. The cinnamon sugar and jelly flavored donuts were ok. I ordered a pineapple mimosa and a smoked salmon benedict. I almost ordered another beverage after reading a review on the price of mimosas and the lack of alcohol. Perhaps I had a heavy-handed bartender because my mimosa certainly gave me a buzz. The benedict was cooked to perfection. The smoked salmon was packed with flavor and the poached egg and hollandaise sauce brought it altogether very well. I could have done without the potatoes on the side. They were bland, cold, and flavorless. Overall, Jelly is a solid business and the customer service was great. The restaurant is somewhat small (from what I could tell), and the seating was limited. There was an outside patio section that could possibly sit a large group. Give it a try!!! read more

Donnell, we're so happy to hear that we blew you away with our donut…
This spot came highly recommended by a friend for my first trip to Denver. Overall, I had a good experience and would also recommend this spot as a brunch spot if you're in town for a few days. When we walked in, the nostalgia hit right away. The aesthetic of the diner was so eclectically charming! Colorful walls with vintage cereal boxes were framed along the wall. We ordered: 1) Breakfast Burrito: massive, filling, and delicious. 2) Southern Biscuit: classic comfort food, be ready for a nap 3) Cinnamon Roll Pancake: this might be one of the best things I've ever had. Don't pass this up and just get a side of 1 pancake to have a bite. 4) Bloody Mary: yes, yes, yes! The Breakfast Burrito was a solid choice, and was HUGE. The biscuit and gravy did not disappoint and was sooo buttery. Their Bloody Marys were really good too - highly recommend a spicy one, or two :) One thing I wish I tried was their Donut Bites, but wasn't too sad when I heard they were sold out of nearly every flavor. I noticed was the staff genuinely enjoying working there, and alongside one another. Love that! Pro tip: get in "line" virtually through Yelp and show up in time to be seated. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE. went for brunch, awesome menu options. I never see corn beef hash anywhere! So I HAD to order. And wowwwww I cannot recommend more. Friend got French toast and egg special with biscuit. All of the food was really fantastic. They also had fresh jelly accompanying. Really cute vibes, 50s diner meets 70s psychedelic meets millennial. Also have two bathrooms. Really loved our waiter, took great care of us. read more

Jelly is SUCH good vibes. I came here on a Tuesday brunch date and thought the old school diner feel was refreshing. There isn't much seating, so I can see the restaurant getting super packed on the weekends. While I appreciate the convenience of a QR code menu, I loved seeing the donut bite flavors advertised above the barstool area. We started with "actual" food--I got the Eggs Benedict. Love that the eggs are "lovingly poached" and paired with smoked ham and hollandaise atop sourdough bread. Classic but so good. We got a whole plate of donut bites to share, with flavors including Mexican Chocolate, Cinnamon & Sugar, Salted Caramel, Thai Peanut, Jelly, Lemon, and Maple Bacon. Luckily my date and I liked different donut flavors and got to savor the ones we really wanted. Service was friendly. Apparently there's outdoor seating as well, but it was too chilly the day we went to notice. Great balance of sweet and savory foods here. Would love to come back and try the pancake varieties and hashes. Or bring a few friends and share everything! read more

The brunch here is wonderful! The eggs Benedict was delicious and I liked how it's served on soft sourdough bread. The hollondaise sauce is amazing and the breakfast potatoes come with sour cream and chives. The blueberry pancakes were great too! The vanilla latte was one of the best I've had! They have a beautiful outdoor space which allowed us to enjoy the falling autumn leaves. The service there is also very nice! I highly recommend and would love to go back. read more
Alex, Patrick & Nick always treat me with the highest level of service. They are top notch. Jelly is my neighborhood brunch spot. The food is yummy, the mimosas hit the spot, and of course the service is out of this world. Often times, Jelly has a bit of a wait, so I recommend placing yourself on the waitlist, or reservations ahead of time! This is a cute small brunch restaurant with a slice of an outdoor patio. The food is perfectly eccentric, tasty, and the presentation is always perfect. I would consider myself a regular now. I would recommend trying the donut-filled holes. They have tons of different flavors! Some make your tongue flip! The Eggs Benedict hits right every time and my favorite scrambler is the Aztec! So full of grains, potatoes, and yumminess. If you are in cap hill, and looking for brunch go to Jelly! Make sure you tell her Starr sent you! read more
The wait can be stressful and long. But hang in there! The foods are worth it. The donut bites are really interesting with the variety type of flavors from sweet to savory. I thought Jelly would be another brunch location with the usual pancakes, egg Benedict, and potatoes. But what truly sets Jelly apart from other brunch places are those mini donuts. They are made to order so the donuts come out hot. I don't think I've had a warm donut before unless I had to toast it up myself. The donut fillings were so unique and delicious. The donuts alone are worth a to-go box to bring home with you. The restaurant is quite cute with the cereal boxes. Parking can be difficult. Be prepared to walk. There's a line with a waitlist so plan accordingly and don't wait while you're hangry or else you'll be upset. read more

Such a great brunch place!! I went here with my boyfriend for a little brunch on a Sunday morning and we loved it!! I'm not usually a fan of donuts as much, but these donut holes were AMAZING!!! There were so many great options to choose from, but i got the avocado caprese toast and it was sooooo yummy and refreshing. Would 100% go back! read more
Regular Donut Bites: The donuts weren't fluffy and the exterior had the deep fried texture. - Creme en glase: not noteworthy, sweet cream - Salted Caramel: nice and neutral, not too sweet - Thai Peanut: super interesting, spicy initially then sweetish peanut - Lemon: super tart and slightly sweet Corn Flake French Toast + Berries: The bread was a little soggy. However, the exterior was crunchy from the corn flakes and the berries brought a tart dimension. Aztex Rice Hash: So, so good! The hash had a bunch of different ingredients that I've never eaten together before, but the flavors worked so well together. I was originally concerned that it would be a sweet hash, but the dish was more spicy than sweet. - Homemade Biscuit: Delicious! It was airy but also dense? I'm having a hard time describing it, but definitely try it out! read more

My friends said I had to try this place while I was in town and I'm glad I did! On a Tuesday at 7:30am they only had 4 customers so I had my choice of seat. They had tables and booths, plus counter space. I explained I was on a tight schedule so the server let me pay right away. I ordered: - Blueberry Lavender pancakes: I love lavender (lattes, soaps, tea, etc) and you could actually taste the lavender in this )not always true at cafes). The blueberries were great. It came with syrup and butter but trust me - the berry lavender topping is more than sweet enough. - Avocado toast : love that this came with a salad (spinach, mandarin, blueberries, and an AMAZING raspberry dressing). The toast was great - avocado, mozzarella, tomato's, and balsamic. Definitely unique. It was more than enough food - I only ate half of everything before getting full. I'd certainly return! read more
Stopped here for breakfast while spending a couple days in a Denver. Party of five, we have a couple versions of the eggs Benedict, veggie scramble and the sweet potato hash. Our group also has a vegetarian, a gluten allergy and a tree nut allergy. The menu was very accommodating and the waiter was helpful adjusting to what we needed. All dishes were excellent were very good. Smaller dining room that gets loud quick (might have been us being the loud ones?). Good for kids. There is outdoor seating but we stayed inside after 5 days in Yellowstone and grand Tetons nat'l park. So - I highly recommend ! Now to the doughnuts - they serve doughnut holes in 8 flavors (both reg and gluten free) - we got the assortment and all were very good. read more

Are dogs allowed on their outdoor patio area?
Only service dogs are allowed to be by your table on the patio, otherwise, there is a little side section on the patio that the dog can hang out at which is away from the tables. They will provide water bowls though
