Nice corner brunch spot in Capitol hill. There's a covered patio with a small dog patio with gate adjacent to the breakfast patio. They have weekday bottomless mimosas specials, boozy coffee and tasty fresh squeezed juices. The menu has a great selection of yummies for your tummy and will leave you happy. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of two eggs scrambled. It was flavorful however, they could've been a bit less generous with the balsamic and could've used a toaster or less soggy piece of toast. My friends split a Benedict which they enjoyed but sorry I cannot remember which one. It's a great spot to try but like Beyonce lyrics "I don't think you're ready for this Jelly" You Betta come ready. read more

I was really excited to try out this place because of the good reviews and their donuts. My review only has to do with the food. The service was good which is the only reason they get 2 stars. We ordered a breakfast burrito, pancakes, and donuts. Donuts: we ordered them as a starter and they still came after our food. The donuts are dry but the fillings they came with were good. Burrito: the green chili was sweet. It's mostly all egg. The pork had zero flavor. Although the chorizo and bacon inside were pretty good. The potatoes in my boyfriends burrito were under cooked and hard. Pancakes: They were not cooked fully. We let our server know and she took them off the check. They had potential to be good. Presentation of the food was nice but it wasn't satisfying. Both of us had stomachaches as soon as we left. Sadly, I do not think I will be returning. read more

So I eat the Keto life style, but once a month I allow myself something completely not Keto. For me to do this it has to be something amazing and will blow my mind! I wanted this month's cheat meal to be a brunch meal, because I was craving donuts. So after searching I found this place. They had great ratings and people seemed to be raving about these donut holes. Well that settled it. This was my place. Not going to lie I was worried I was about to waste my one and only cheat meal this month. I can happily say it was not a waste but rather the tasty treat I was hoping for. So I started off with the The Wisco Scramble, got to keep some Keto in there. Ordered the homemade biscuit and took a bite so I could taste it with the homemade jam. Gave the rest to my husband out of fear I would eat the whole thing. The scramble was very tasty by the way as well. Then the moment of truth came. They brought out the donut holes. I only had one, because still got to be somewhat good, but I had half of the lemon and half of the maple bacon. Well the lemon curd went all down my shirt and I didn't even care. It was so tart and tasty and the maple bacon I mean come on it's maple bacon!! Both were amazing and honestly if I wasn't stuffed I would have tried more but the food was so filling and just yummy! I am so happy I choose Jelly as I cheat meal! Completely worth it! Made my month complete! read more

When we were visiting Denver, a friend of ours recommended Jelly as she is a donut fanatic. We went there for brunch and since we couldn't decide which flavors sounded better we ordered all of them so we could try each one. Thai peanut was our favorite and that surprised us all as we Wouldn't have expected it. I ended up getting a large bowl of fruit and it had an amazing assortment that most restaurants usually don't provide. All very fresh and in season! This place was really great. We happened upon it when a bunch of other brunch spots we had planned to go to were randomly closed. It was my birthday and they were super nice to give us a plate of donuts for free! The avocado toast was 10/10 and the Bloody Mary was also great. My friend got a mimosa and it was huge! Yay! Was not impressed with this place. Our waiter was very stressed and awkward, the food was on the bland side. We waited a lot longer than we were quoted. There are a lot of brunch spots in the area, and unfortunately this experience did not stand out to deserve a second visit. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. For ones I love the tea and chocolate milk, and I like that my multicultural, multi race family agreed on one place to eat breakfast. Dear manager: if your menu says "CHILAQUILES" I'm expecting something delicious, warm ,rich, saucy and bold. Instead I had a plate of cold hard and dry chips with some black beans here and there (witch I'm guessing for the flavor are not homemade) a Poor serving of insipid salsa (chili) and a cheese that tasted more like feta (where is the salty cotija cheese?). I rather call this dish "nachos" than chilaquiles. Seriously cultural appropriation much? If you are going to do it, do it right or stick with pancakes and doughnuts. With love a customer that like your restaurant. read more

This place was recommended by our AirBnB host and even on a chilly Sunday morning there is a packed wait of 30 mins around 10am. The cafe is decorated in vintage cereal boxes, colorful bricks and has a seriously awesome vibe. They also sell really cute t shirts but unfortunately most smalls and mediums are out. I mean, isn't it just the greatest to wear a piece of smiling toast and jelly on your chest? I think so. Their veggie hash was fully loaded with fresh veggies but the hash was more like sliced chunks of potatoes rather than shredded. It was also a bit too greasy. I would have preferred the shredded hash but this is the second time in Denver that the hash came this way, so maybe they just do it differently there. Overall the food was decent and we ordered 4 little jelly filled donut holes that were seriously amazing! Also, the real reason we came is because I wanted to try the lavender blueberry pancakes. It was SO GOOD. It's a must try if you are here. Check in for a free coffee, because, well, my #1 rule is: free is always good. read more

Easily one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. A friend of mine found this place and walking in I thought it would be cute and sweet with the doughnuts being the highlight of the meal. While partially true, the place is absolutely adorable and I am obsessed with all the details (like their teacup & utensil chandeliers and old school speciality cereal box collection) that make it special, and the doughnuts were all fantastic, but the southwestern entrees were also incredible! I NEVER take photos of my food but it all looked so good coming out I couldn't help myself, and it tasted even better. We all ended up trying everyone's dishes because we each loved them so much we wanted to share. I really don't think you could go wrong ordering anything here. It made me wish I was a local so I could visit regularly. Remember to save some space for doughnuts and get adventurous when you order them, it's worth it! read more

Sunday brunch jam session at Jelly will never disappoint. I tried out the Yelp Reservation feature for the 1st time here, which was convenient & I look forward to using more... What I probably most love about Jelly is the "gluten free" variation of basically everything. The "GF Lavender Blueberry Bacon Pancake" is my favorite & the "Cauliflower Rice Hash" is also a guilt-free comfort dish I recommend that will leave you full & nourished. The coffee is also good & they serve booze which is a requirement on some days, in some circles. I only have wonderful things to say about this place. Extra Jelly please! read more

Awesome place for breakfast! Must try the donut holes - we tried Thai peanut, salted caramel, Mexican hot chocolate, and the maple bacon. I must say that the Mexican chocolate was the best, not too sweet with a hint of spice at the very end of the bite. Breakfast entrees are a good size, as I had the veggie hash. I had to give the rest of my meal to my friends to finish. The biscuit with the jelly is also bomb! The biscuit had the perfect buttery texture, and the jelly adds the perfect amount of sweetness at the end. I did mark down one star for the long wait time for a table, but be sure to collect a sticker and use the Yelp check-in for a free coffee! Would return next time in town. read more

The wait was not bad - about 30 minutes. We were lucky enough to get a spot at the bar beforehand. Very unique place, trendy and hipster type vibes.. very cute! They offered iced coffee with vegan milk options which I appreciate. I ordered the Tofu Chilaquiles - so delicious! The tofu was SO tasty - seasoned with spicy marinade. This place is great! It's adorable, delicious, and unique...all the things you want in a brunch spot! The donut flavors are so fun, it's hard to choose! We went with the Thai peanut, lemon, salted caramel, and maple bacon! I suggest ordering the donuts as an appetizer rather than a dessert! We were not too full to enjoy them but still were ready for a meal! My friend and I each ordered a meal & split them so we could get a taste of everything! We ordered sweet potato hash & two breakfast sliders (Savory & Country). All was delicious but if I had to choose, I enjoyed the sliders a bit more! I also had a michelada & my friend had a coffee! Both were delish but nothing memorable! Make sure to check in for a free coffee! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Denver. Note that we did visit on a Tuesday at 11am and had no wait. Back again and still a solid 4 stars. Did app wait ahead seating and it said 25mins so we were waiting but then all of a sudden we were up! So we were 10mins away but the hostess was nice when we arrived and sat us right away. Place is always busy during weekend hours. Server was just the right amount of attentive. Only complaint is the donut holes. They seem to make all them the same now and then just put different toppings on top. I swear they used to actually make different donuts with cream filled etc. Still a great place, keep it up Jelly! read more

Two days in a row we ordered breakfast from here through Door Dash and our orders were messed up both times. Upon calling Jelly, we received no apology and no offer to refund or fix our orders. Completely unimpressed with their lack of customer service and won't be spending any more of my money on this place. Such a shame that what could have been an easy fix for their customers has now made me want to tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Per the owner's comment - both times when I called Jelly they were able to confirm that they messed up the order but never gave an apology or tried to fix it. For years I've heard rumors of this little café, but never had the opportunity to experience it until just recently. I had always heard that the food was delicious but the wait was ridiculous! Lucky for me, I took advantage of this hot spot on a random Wednesday morning. I went with my co-workers (which was a feat in itself because there were nine of us), but there was no wait. Even with our party size, our server was friendly, attentive and brought our food in a timely manner. We shared the donut bites and jelly, which were so fresh they literally melted in my mouth. I had the Boulder skillet with the crispy potatoes and they were equally amazing. I loved that they had a fancy latte menu, so I could snag a caramel latte on my way out! Having visited this place AFTER eating at Snooze twice, I was quite underwhelmed. I'm not saying that the food is bad but it's nothing great neither. Just your average run-of-the-mill brunch spot. Don't think I'll be going back knowing that Snooze is in the same city. However, the service was very friendly and the food like I said was good, just not great. The Molly Hot Brown is a really good dish, but the Donuts were such a let down. They took a pretty long time (more than 15m) and the texture was just all wrong and kind of cardboard-like, and the fillings were pretty underwhelming. In general service was kind of slow, but they were fairly busy, so that's understandable. read more

History

Established in 1876.

Jelly was conceived by partners Josh Epps and Christina Smith, when they moved to Denver in early 2000's from San Francisco. "we spent years trying new places out, and were just never satisfies" say Epps. Sure there are good places for brunch, but your either gonna pay a fortune or wait a lifetime, we wanted to create a neighborhood place, were locals go when the get around to scraping themselves out of bed" says Smith. We both come from design backgrounds and creating the look of the place was really the easiest part, Josh had been holding onto a C3po's cereal box for years, only to pull out every now and then to show visitors. "We were discussing the art on the walls, what it would be and the thought of having rotating artist on the wall was terrifying, people bringing in their sketches or whatever all the time, im not a gallery owner I dont want to have to tell you its crap so we searched around on ebay and over time, we got a pretty respectable collection together.
