I highly recommend Dr. Jessica Duong at Specs Vision. Its easy to get an appointment and she accepts most insurances.

I visit e this optical location and was greeted by friendly employees. The current deal is either get 50% off complete pair or use your vision insurance and get a second pair for free. I like coming here during these deals as I can get a pair of regular glasses and some fancy looking affordable sunglasses. At this location, they offer eye exams as well, but it's easier to make an appointment so that you don't have to wait. For women's style the brand names are A.N.A, Beverly Hills Polo Club, Liz Claiborne's on of my favorites and some fashionable ones by Cover Girl. Even with an Asian face there are still Asian fit glasses that they can order for you. I like the variety and the plus side is they take vision insurance plans. Just make sure you have them double your vision plan as o was quoted 2 different prices. Will be back to pick up my new glasses! read more

Andrew was great as well as the customer service. The exam was easy and everything went smoothly! I would come here again. I would always go to lens crafters but the service here changed my mind. Thank you! read more

The whole optical department is very welcoming. Eileen was so helpful. It's my 1st pair of progressive glasses and trying to figure out what suits me and my comfort plus prescription, she told me to take a couple days to see if my 2 sets of glasses will work, and if not I'll bring them back and fix any problems that might occur. read more

My husband came in 2 years ago to get new glasses, as of today we have not received glasses and we are already almost done paying them off from using our card. Every time we speak to the manager she ALWAYS has a poor excuse of where are the glasses and the response always the same, let ask my worker because I can't find them. This is unacceptable and we are ready to take legal action over this. We will be reporting to the BBB and calling the JCPline to file a complaint against the manager. Stay away from this location, i truly feel the optical staff are doing something illegal and charging us for glasses and not giving them to use, they hope we would forget. read more

I love all the people at JCP Optical! But I want to give a particular thanks to Ana, who went WAY above and beyond during my most recent visit, to guide me in finding the proper size and shape of frames for the type of lenses I need. Ana asked about when & where they will be worn, durability needs, etc., explaining why I may want (or not) certain features in a frame or lens depending on use. Thanks for all your help Ana and Dr. Bock! read more

I had recently lost a screw in my glasses and needed a quick repair. I did not know JCPenney Optical helps with small repairs like that as I was told by other JCP that they do not do such repairs (even though my glasses were purchased at JCP Optical) even as small as a missing screw. Well when I called this location, Eleonor was the associate who picked up the call and from beginning to end of the conversation she was very knowledgeable, understanding and answered all my questions. I then went in that same day to get my repair, and Eleonor gave me the best service I've had at any JCP or JCP Optical location. She took care of my problem with expediency and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Eleonor, thank you so much for the great service. This is the best JCP Optical location. read more

Dr. Bock is great! I've worn glasses since I was a kid and can honestly say I have never enjoyed seeing an optometrist till now. Dr. Bock is really knowledgeable and definitely cares about building a friendship with his patients. I came to him because I got my prescription elsewhere and wasn't seeing as sharp as I would like. I decided to see him because of his reviews and I felt like I needed a second opinion on my prescription. Dr. Bock gave my prescription a tweak and made life a whole lot clearer. I was surprised at how great I was seeing! I will never make a mistake like that again! I refuse to see anyone besides Dr. Andrew Bock for my eye care needs! read more

Best EYExperience ever! Warm and friendly staff, personable and knowledgable Dr. and no pressure! I came in here yesterday for an eye exam after my trusty pair of glasses broke. I had no idea what to expect but boy am I glad I gave them a shot! From the first phone call I could tell I had made the right decision. Meisha was a delight! Honest, attentive and a pleasure to work with. Dr. Bock was by far the most friendly and engaging Optometrist I've ever met! He actually took the time to explain some common sense ways I could improve my vision with the right glasses, something I'd never experienced before, in my 35 years of wearing glasses! I also really appreciated that they didn't pressure me to buy from them, something I've had issues with in the past. They were helpful without coming off like a used car salesman, big props for that! I highly recommend JC Penney Optical for anyone looking for great customer service, warm and caring staff and an Optometrist who is personable, charming and genuinely seems to care about your vision health. Kudos! read more

From the moment I walked into the door with my daughter needing glasses like yesterday... To my picking out a pair for myself 3 weeks later after my own appointment I was treated with great customer service. Rebecca took time to go through features and benefits, as well as the protection plan till I "got it". But not just that she said she would have it in writing as a guarantee! What great service and with a smile the whole time. Thanks, C J Middleton read more

Dr. Bock, Christina and all the rest if the staff at JCPenney Optical in the Galleria are wonderful, caring people who do me proud every time I go! They've taken care of my eye health and prescription eyeglass needs for over 10 years. I even followed Dr. Bock from Montclair to Riverside because I feel he has my best eye health at heart. Thanks, Dr. Bock, for the great care and explanations! Thanks Christina, for the discerning eye you have that makes me a "fashionista" with beautiful eyeglasses! read more

I did NOT get my exam here, but I did order a pair of glasses. Besides the wait, I have to complain that my lenses were messed up , from the day I got them. It bothered me, but it was above my eyeline enough that I put off showing them the marks/scratches? When I finally made it back there, Ofcourse warranty no longer valid. My fault I waited too long. Their fault they gave me bad glasses in the first place. I will not return. Oh and forget coupons, not as advertised. Just a hook to get you in. read more

I've worn contacts for the last 16 years, and my prescription has never changed. The glasses prescription gets tweaked every so often, but I hardly wear them anyway. The last pair of glasses (from an Rx elsewhere) made me so dizzy I would get sick to my stomach. Dr. Bock spent the better part of an hour tweaking my prescription so subtly that most wouldn't have noticed. He made sure my contacts were big enough. He sent me home with oodles of samples. I cry when I go to the dentist, but the eye doctor was fun, informational, and effective. Dr. Bock also (is in the process of) remedying my husband's eye/vertigo issue. This is visit #2 or #3 and he always dedicates the time necessary to resolve the issue, not herding in and out like cattle. Come see them. It's worth it...when you find an awesome doctor, you stick with it and tell everyone! Plus appointments are always available! read more

My past experiences with Optometrists were horrible. I was a little iffy about going to JcP optical for a checkup but I thought I'd give it try since it was close-by. This was the best decision ever. Dr. Bocks explained everything thoroughly and yes he was very funny. He gave this very laid back feel so he makes you feel comfortable and at ease instantly. I had a prescription over ten years ago but only wore glasses for a few months since they broke and I hated the eye Dr. so much, I never went back for new ones. I'm having a little bit of a hard time adjusting so I called the office and they quickly responded to my messages. I will try my glasses for two weeks and if prism (fishbowl) effect is still there, Dr. Bock will gladly check my eyes again. Customer service and the Dr. are the best ever. Highly recommend. My Husband has an appointment next week. read more

This is my first review on yelp and I had to write it because I am very happy and satisfied! Thank you Dr. Bock for finding the right contact lens for me...I am wearing my contacts right now and I couldn't be happier :-) Dr. Bock is very friendly and he carefully examined my eyes in a proper way. And, it was really sweet of him to give me a discount on the eye exam since I had an eye exam 6-7 months back and also because I don't have a vision plan. I'll be seeing him in future as well. read more

What a great experience. Stated with the two ladies greeting me, when I walked in. Then feeling like the Dr. Taking his time with me. Explaining what he was looking for and how it will help me. Dr. Andrew Bock was one of the kindest optometrist I have ever had. I usually dread my annual eye exam but Dr. Bock made it my best experience ever. He is kind, gentle, and overall respectful. He is extremely accommodating and gave me options on products I could use. Definitely affordable even without insurance. I had a minimal wait time and left with a smile. This is the worst experience I ever had. Bad environment, terrible customer services and WRONG PRESCRIPTION! The error was 0.75 more which made my eye super painful! I have to pay extra 65 dollars to do the eye exam in Costco and find out the problem. ONE SUGGESTION: DON'T COME! read more

Great experience today getting new glasses! I'd say way better then LensCrafters and cheaper! there having a half off sale go now!!

Thank you so much Dr. Bock! The best optometrist I've been to. I've been to LensCrafters and had issues with my glasses/prescription before. The glasses I have now from Dr. Bock are perfect.
