My experience here definitely exceeded my expectations. I thought that I was walking into just another eye doctor but as soon as I entered the door I was greeted by both receptionists who were very professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. When booking the appointment for contact exam over the phone I was told it would be a 100 so I gave my teen the exact amount for the exam. After exam was done, they end up charging 169. Should have been clear from the start. I would have went else where if I known beforehand. A bit disappointing, but I will not be coming back for future visits for my family. read more

Very disappointed with the professionalism of their front desk staff. I scheduled my appointment as a new customer back in May. They only took my name and cell phone number, didn't ask about my insurance information or any other personal information. A week prior to my scheduled appointment their office gives a call asking for information. I missed the call so I gave them a callback and the front desk at first goes she never called me, but I had to clarify it was in regards to getting information then she realized she did call me the prior day. I give them my insurance information over the phone but they couldn't find my provider. They then asked if I could send my insurance card over via email. The front desk person provided me with an incorrect email address, I had to find the correct one on Yelp to send my information. Couple of business days go by and they call again trying to confirm if I'm the primary insurance holder and that they can't find me in the system. I ended up cancelling my appointment. I was excited to try a new Doctor out but I'll stick to Costco. read more

My first time to an eye doc in almost 60 years - turning 60yo next month. So I didn't know what to expect, and I figure if you go to an eye doc, they are going to find a reason why you need glasses. Worked in the tech field for the past 30+ years, with much of it doing programming and focused on screen time sometimes 10/12/14 hours per day at home and/or work, and often night shift, so I'd turn off all the lights after the others left. Not sure that was best for the eyes, but it's what I did. Now coming up on a visit to DMV next month, and worried I might not pass the eye test - my vision is not what it used to be - so I scheduled the appt with Dr. Bowman to see what might be needed, if anything, to get the vision a little better with glasses, in case I don't pass the test. Scheduling online and then followup via email was easy about a week in advance. Once I got there, I liked not seeing a room full of people in the waiting room - I think they schedule their time well, which is good for both sides. The people at the front desk - all good, friendly and professional. After the testing, Dr. Bowman explained my options in ways that I could understand, answered any questions I had on specific topics (passing the DMV test changes - 50/50, that I pretty much agreed with, vision while welding with a helmet on, night driving glare from lights, etc...) and it all made a lot of sense. No pressure to buy the glasses there. And I decided not to buy any yet while there. But did pick out the frames, which they helped me do. I'm not a fashionable kind of person - just give me 5 best options you think might work, and I'll pick one. And that worked :-) Then got home, and decided I may as well just get the driving glasses for better night vision anyway, and less glare from lights. So I emailed them, and we got those ordered, and they should be ready in 7-10 days. DMV visit should be in about 2 weeks, so hopefully will have them by then in case needed. Good experience for my first time in life to an eye doc in 60 years, so kudos to all there for that. I did wonder if the patterns on the carpet, chairs and kleenex box were strategic to test my vision. But that's probably just the paranoid side of me :-) First time back into a dentist in 25 years in a couple weeks. Only wish that would go as well. read more

Dr Bowman is an awesome eye doctor. My 8 year old was very comfortable and in return the doctor was very patient with my son. The office has a nice selection of eye glasses and sun glasses. I came in one day around Halloween for an eye exam and to pick up some contacts and the visit was very quick and easy. I entered and the two girls at the desk were very friendly once I settled in. I couldn't remember how to pronounce her name but from what I recall her name was Stef and she was very sweet and helpful in answering my questions about the exam. Dr. Bowman is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable when asking him about having possible astigmatism. My visit was very smooth for it being my first time and I recommend asking any questions upfront to the girls because they definitely made my visit less stressful! read more

We've been to a few places and it's hard finding a solid doctor, Dr. Bowman has a great and solid way of communicating and explains things very well and thoroughly. We liked that he kept making sure all of our questions were answered and was very meticulous when performing the exams. Five stars for sure! read more

Time for our regular eye exam. I brought my kids here because of how Dr. Bowman dedicates time to his patients. He is a very open and honest person I truly trust him. He definitely prides himself in his work and it doesn't go unnoticed. The selection is still limited but since we don't need prescription glasses that doesn't apply to us. I will continue to use this location for our optometry needs. Hopefully they expand their selection in case we ever need to get prescription glasses. read more

Dr. and Staff are amazing with my elderly grandmother, and they take the time to make sure she is taken care of fully. I would 100% recommend the office. Dr. Bowman is fantastic. His staff is very friendly, but they will NOT follow up to check on the status of your glasses. They literally said, once we send your glasses to the lab, we don't follow up. So, it's up to the patient to call the office to check on the glasses. Obviously, Dr. Bowman has to do there work, by calling the lab, when he gets a chance. He is very busy. So, good luck. Dr. Bowman is great, but I wouldn't recommend this clinic, nor would I be returning. Dr. is great, clinic not so much. Very disappointed read more

Was able to make an appointment right away. The office staff is professional and friendly. I am so impressed with Dr. Bowman! He is patient, kind and most importantly experienced and knowledgeable. I've had poor eyesight most of my life - but did get LASIK about less than 20 years ago. My eyesight was getting bad again in 2020 and I went to another office to get it checked. I was told then, I have a small cataract. My prescription really did seem to work for me but it was during the pandemic and so I just didn't wear my glasses. It wasn't that bad. Recently, eyesight is getting progressively worse so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Bowman after looking on Yelp. So glad I chose his office. He did a very thorough eye exam and did a great job at communicating each step of the way. He asked me great questions to understand my eyesight situation. He explained why I am having trouble with my prescription and did not push me to get new glasses with his prescription but encouraged me to look into cataract surgery. He knew quite a bit about the cataract surgery and even gave me a pamphlet about it and referred me (upon my asking) to a doctor. The eye doctor I saw in 2020 was uncertain if I could even be a candidate for cataract surgery and thought I was too young. Fortunately Dr. Bowman knew how to answer these questions. I feel so much better and will pursue the surgery. Dr. Bowman let me know it was ok to contact him if I needed further assistance. THIS is what eye care should be! So grateful that Dr. Bowman has a practice in Corona. How lucky I feel to find him. Thank you Dr. Bowman for your guidance and having such a great office in Corona. I was referred to Brett Bowman by my mom and dad, who have always had good experiences with him. I can see why they would suggest him as the Dr. and his staff are very nice and seem quite knowledgeable. Unfortunately my experience was just ok. I scheduled my appointment for a holiday so that I wouldn't have to take a day off work to go in and went in a little early for my morning appointment, hoping to get in and out quickly. Unfortunately, an elderly patient was in front of me and needed extra help, which meant I had to wait about 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I'm glad the Dr. was kind and patient to the elderly woman but I do think think the situation could have been resolved differently. When it was finally my turn in the chair, it seemed like the Dr. felt rushed. Again, he was perfectly nice and took time to explain to me that I should take certain vitamins for and eye problem I was experiencing, which was very useful. When I left, I realized that he had not made note of my very red eyes or the yellow spot that has been developing near one of my iris'. I had meant to ask him, but forgot after the long wait and was surprised he hadn't brought it up. I was given a light reading prescription and told that I could go anywhere for glasses but because I was now on a time crunch, I took a quick look in their store. I ended up finding a pair of glasses I was happy with and asked the receptionist what I needed to do to order them. She told me to just point to the ones I wanted and she would make a note. They were sitting next to a very similar pair, and about a week later when they arrived (I had someone pick them up for me) I think I was given the wrong ones. Kind of a bummer since my insurance only covers one pair every 2 years. I think its important to note that overall the Dr. seems really good and I probably just caught him on a bad day. I love the Bowman Cave!! The Ladies who run the front here are super professional with incredibly classy Etiquette just like Dr.Bowman himself. They left me a cheerful message yesterday that my glasses were ready for pickup, and informed of their new appointment policy so I knew exactly how to proceed moving forward. When I arrived this morning there was a neat typed sign in the front letting me know to call before I enter, and Estefania greeted me looking fresh, clean, and professional with a warm and inviting smile. I love how she had my glasses ready to go and showed me Mirrors where I could check it out and helped me tighten the back for an extra refined fit. I was a little thirsty and asked for some water, and she even gave me an option for chilled or unchilled aguita!! Hahaha. Everything inside was sparkling clean, well-organized, and the bathroom key even had a pretty pink lanyard for a friendly and sweet stylish vibration. I love my new glasses, thank you again to this whole Team for blessing me with such a happy and helpful experience! read more

I am extremely disappointed in the poor customer service of this office. I was told that my trial pair of contacts would be in within 2-3 business days and would be contacted once they arrived so I could pick them up. That was on 10/10/2019. Today, I called in for a status update because I still have not been contacted and was told by Stephania that my contacts were on back order and would not be shipped to their office until 11/1/2019. Never was I called to be told there would be a delay and if I hadn't have called to follow up, I would have never known. When I brought this up, I was told "unfortunately we don't track every patient's orders and we don't know about back orders until we look it up, so I just looked it when you called and that's how I know". In my opinion they need a better system, because it sounds like it is the patient's job to constantly have to follow up on orders - I have NEVER had this issue with any other optometrist. I, unfortunately, do not recommend them. read more

I went to Dr. Bowman for 3 years until my job changed my eye insurance. He was and is to this day the best optometrist, I've ever seen and I've been going to an optometrist for the last 20-something years. I always scheduled my appointment on my lunch break and I appreciate the staff's timeliness because my time is valuable. I liked how thoroughly he explained the Lasik process and referred me to a reputable location. Dr. Bowman was not rushed during our appointment and I appreciate that he actually took notes during my visit (we chatted about two jobs I was trying to choose between) and asked me how my job was going the following year when I went back. He's an awesome, down-to-earth guy and if I still lived in/near Corona, I'd be seeing him. read more

I really enjoyed my first experience with this establishment. I was looking for a new optometrist in the Corona area, so of course, I checked Yelp for recommendations and found Dr. Bowman. I made my appointment online and also filled out all the paperwork ahead of time online which made everything fast and easy. I was taken right on time for my appointment (which is a huge plus for me, I hate how the medical profession always books appointments, but you're never seen on time, so annoying!) All of the staff along with Dr. Bowman himself were extremely friendly and efficient. When it was time to choose my new frames I was a little nervous since I'm very picky, but there was a large selection of designer frames, another big plus for me (COACH, Kate Spade, LAMB, BeBe, etc.) and the prices of the frames all seemed reasonable. I purchased my new frames with my new prescription for "computer glasses" which essentially are just close up glasses with a blue light blocker. I also inquired as to whether or not I could leave a pair of my old frames with them to get the lenses switched out to ones without scratches (I've also done this in the past at other optometrists). I got the standard "We can try,but there's always the chance your frames may be damaged in the process," which I appreciated, but it never happens and this time was no different--they were fine! The cost to do this was $49 I believe. I was told 7-10 business days for both pairs of glasses to come back and it took about 6 days. I definitely recommend Dr. Bowman's office & will continue to use his services! PROTIP: their office is a bit difficult to find as it's in a medical building area with multiple buildings. He is located in the biggest building that is an orange-y/tan color with huge letters that say ORTHODONTIST across the top...LOL. I actually had to call from the parking lot to make sure I was at the right place. It's actually a medical building that has many offices and he's located on the 2nd floor! read more

It's so hard to find medical offices that get 5 stars, but Dr. Bowman has a wonderful front office staff (the girls are sweet), and Dr. Bowman himself has wonderful "bedside" manners, and he's very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I brought my two sons age 4 & 6 for eye exams today. From the time we arrived, the staff was kind and helpful. Dr. Bowman took extra time with my boys to make sure they were comfortable with every different step of the exam. My boys who are usually a bit reserved were comfortable and stress free. When picking glasses for one of my sons, the entire staff were all helpful and extra patient with my boys who were, by that time, a bit active. I plan to continue exams for my boys here and also plan to have my husband and myself schedule exams here too. read more

This office was recommended by my sister and I was very happy with my overall visit. The staff was friendly and helpful - I was able to make an appointment for the same week I called and the location is great (in the Tustin medical plaza behind the post office off of Newport). The office is clean and nice - good selection of frames (several designers like Coach, Vera Wang, Ray Ban, etc.). I was looking for a particular pair of frames that they didn't have and possibly for a few more options - but i'm super picky and ended up finding something nice anyway. Dr. Bowman was very helpful and easy to understand when it came to what was wrong with my vision and what was needed to fix it. It's very evident that they care about their patients here, which is really important to me. I would definitely reccommend if you're looking for a new optometrist. read more
