It has been approximately 4 weeks since I was in store shopping for what I thought was a simple pair of jeans. My size (33W 36L) was not in stock at my location. I was told if I allowed the clerk to place an order online I could get my size and have the jeans sent to store in about a week. When I received the notification that my order was in store, I happily went to claim. Luckily, I decided to try them on before leaving, that's when I noticed my brand new light colored jeans had a big dark brown stain on one leg. I had to painstakingly explain my situation to a new associate and ultimately return the damaged item and reorder my jeans except, this order was to be sent to my address. Another week goes by, I get my package, and instead of receiving the jeans I reordered in the mail, I received a bathmat. Obviously, I go back to the store to return the random item and explain my situation again to a new associate and place an order for the third time. On 11/08/17 I received an email saying "your item(s) has shipped estimated delivery date 11/10/17" complete with my order# and tracking # via UPS. To this day 11/13 my tracking # has not worked on the UPS website. Upon checking my order # this morning, I found I've been reissued the same tracking number (separately as if it's new) along with a new "estimated date of delivery 11/15/17" it's now approaching week 4, and honestly, I'm still uncertain as to whether this order will be fulfilled accurately. **update** checked my order # today & w/o any notice my new "estimated date of delivery" has changed to 11/16/17 I never have had so many shipping issues along with so little customer service when I use Amazon online, this is what I get for shopping the 'old way' I'll stick to Amazon for my future online orders. Jewelry Department Review!!! Don't Buy Engagement Ring!!!! The worst store you can buy your engagement ring from!! Horrible management!!! I hate them! I bought my diamond ring and also their LIFETIME WARRANTY plan, about a year after an unusual huge dark spot appeared on my ring! I took it to the store and because I had a plan they said they will send it for cleaning! The ring came back, Went to get it and saw nothing has changed the same spot still there! They said they have a policy that if a ring was not repairable after 3 tries they will do a buyback! they wasted my time 4 TIMES! I went back and forth the same issue. I even think they ever sent it for cleaning at all. After all this wasted time they finally said come for the last time and we will offer either an exchange or a solution! today went and their manager Stephanie with her supervisor simply returned the damaged ring and said sorry can not help you cus ring has no damage!!!!!! I told them I am completely unhappy customer and they did not care at all!!! pleaseeee pleaseee beware they are stealing customer's money and sell fake dimamonds that last just one yearrrr! and even when you take it to their atention they will never solve and care you are unhappy!!!! As of yesterday I was an employee of theirs and can now honestly say they treat their employees like crap management sucks a while back I complained about a supervisor disrespecting me and aside from just speaking to the supervisor about the issue and in return they cut my hours and days I went from getting 4 days to 1 day a week with only 4 hrs, the store manager has no respect for his employees he has yelled at employees in front of customers, human resources has been aware of the treatment we get and chooses to turn the other way aside from them paying my bills for 2 years..their are many associates who work their butt off for them and get unappreciated differ to the ones who don't do anything they get all the hours and days...so if u have any issues with anything don't expect to be treated with respect for speaking up #jcpenney #arcadia #disrespected #unappreciated read more

This review is for the JCP online store. Don't order online from JCP! They take FIVE days to ship out an order and another WEEK for it to be delivered- and the package was coming from Nevada (which is only a state away)! On top of it all, they ship from UPS using "Basic Shipping"; basically, the cheapest shipping option available. Since I wasn't home, or whatever, when the package was supposedly being delivered, I now have to drive 4 cities to pick up the fucking package. All because the "Basic Shipping" only included a one time delivery attempt. All the other stores I order from, Macy's, Nordstrom, etc, do not ship their products using the cheapest shipping option. Even when I wasn't home before, I still managed to get my products on multiple delivery attempts from Macy's. Obviously, JCP doesn't care enough about its services or its customers; they're being cheap and cutting back on costs. Just warning you, if you order online expect it to be either a long wait to get your package or a huge hassle. No wonder this company is going downhill. Their "Fair and Square" pricing policy is stupid too. Oh and your website sucks tremendously. read more

I still like this JCPenney location and they have definitely improved customer notification for items purchased online, now an actual live person calls you and picking up process is actually faster upon arriving at the store. The only area which definitely needs improvement at this time is waiting line to pay by Women's Liz Claiborne, Monet handbags,etc. I had just purchased a Liz Claiborne top and picked up online item at a different cashier and was assisted properly and in a timely manner. I was still browsing for a handbag throughout the store and bought a Liz Claiborne bag and proceeded to wait in line, it is not too busy during the week. I noticed an elderly lady that wasn't even in line and she noticed I was waiting but she still moved towards store clerk, I didn't say anything out of respect. If there is a line, store associates should ensure customers know where to wait and even if I am waiting at least acknowledge me and let me know you will be with me momentarily, afterall one has many shopping choices and it all comes down to Customer Service... read more

J. C. Penny has bee around for YEARS!!! I grew up with them, and they still are around. They're kind of like Sears...never going away. We came in here to see what they had on sale for Christmas, and I found a couple nice shirts to buy. We didn't get anything for the kids, but, hey...it's in the mall...lots of other stores to visit. Overall, it was clean, spacious, and the clothing wasn't messed up. All was folded and presentable. Also, there is a Sephora IN their store. A nice addition for the ladies. read more

Ever since they stopped issuing out their $10 off coupons, I stopped visiting this store less often. However, their return policy is awesome. It is simply written on their receipt, "happy returns. any item, anytime, anywhere. it's that simple." I went in to get a belt for my boyfriend. There was a decent men's belt selection. The customer service was disappointing. The lady at the check registered closest to me barely acknowledged me telling me to go to a different register. The lady at the other register did her job, but barely and nothing more. What a night and day difference compared to Kohls of Monrovia. I came here looking for specific shorts. When I was in the men's section a nice young guy ask me if I needed any help and showed me where the shorts were. He actually looked liked he enjoyed his job. When I got to the checkout, I ask about mixing a shirt and shorts for there buy one pair get the second for a penny deal. The lady said no problem and you can mix what you want, even though that wasn't the deal. I went and got the shirt and we found out it was actually on clearance for $6. When the manager nearby heard she said, "give it to home for $4". Everything about my experience at this JC Penny was great. read more

This is for the Portrait Studio. We needed to take a long-overdue family portrait. Made an appointment for 11:15 and arrived early. We were told that they were "running behind" and there would be a 15-20 minute delay. We were FINALLY allowed into the studio one full HOUR after our appointment time. This place was the epitome of indifference-the waiting area was full of people with increasing frequency as time went on and nobody did anything to move things along. The photographer (some guy with green hair where the dye obviously dripped into his brain) and some other individual who thought he was Scavullo could have cared less about the number of people waiting. The time for us to complete the shots were about 10 minutes and then the fun began. The same rude people ahead of us who monopolized the studio for an hour took the same time selecting their photos (which, delayed things even longer). The portrait person tried to upsell a lot of packages (NONE of which we wanted) before we were finally able to select only what we wanted and could pay and leave. This seems to be symbolic of Penneys in general and explains why the store is swirling around the bowl. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Came in specifically for underwear and was pleasantly surprised to see a sale of 5 for $24. There were 5 round racks and each rack had the "5 for $24" sale sign on it. They were limited on supply so I spent about 30 minutes sorting through style and size. At checkout I found out only one out of the five I picked out was on sale (Note: the non sale price for each pair was listed for $9). Of course I was concerned when the total was $42 but the cashier just said there was nothing she could do. I had to just cancel the purchase because I had my one year old with me and it would have been impossible just to go look again. So disappointed. read more

I never shop here, but I decided to buy a pair of shoes for work here. The service is good and the sales lady was helpful. I would've given it five stars for the service, but I'm giving it four stars because I don't like how they store and display the shoes with the price sticker stapled on the bottom of the shoe sole and then selling it like that. Asked a customer service person (his name was David I believe) to help me find my size and style, he said he'd be back to help .... waited a good ten minutes, nothing, never came back. Finally decided to buy some jeans i found earlier ... went in line, saw the same guy at the cashier station. There were two people in front of me, it took 25 MINUTES before I got to the cashier. SEPHORA review. Worst Sephora experience ever. There were only two employees working when I went in today. One, Aurora, was super sweet and helpful, and SHE deserves 5 stars. She helped my mom get a color match, and while she was helping us, I overheard her replying to someone talking to her on her earpiece. She was being rushed because we'd apparently taken up too much time. We had only been with her for 5-10mins, she had been helping about 3 other customers before us. When we were done, my mom grabbed the concealer and foundation she'd picked out, and we went to check out. As she was about to check out, she spotted a build-able eye shadow pallet, and picked out some colors, and the girl who was going to check us out (KELLY) went to grab the colors she'd picked out. She returned shortly after, and told us that they were out of 5 of the 6 colors she'd picked out. So I innocently tell my mom, "why don't we just go get it at the other Sephora then." At this point Kelly gets upset and becomes very rude, tells me that she asks that I check out my items there because they already spent too much time on us. Obviously I'm shocked and just reply that my mom would rather have a single transaction and will just get it at the other store. She proceeds to tell me that next time I come in, I should inform them from the beginning that I'm not getting an item, so that they don't waste time helping me! I asked for her name and let her know I will be reporting her to customer service. she gives it to me as she giggles at what just happened. We walked over to the other end of the mall, and purchased the $100+ on makeup at the other store instead. read more

Well we were waiting and waiting and my son lost it but he's 14 months old so he has no patience. If we would have waited we would have waited and 1hour and 30 minutes is waaay too long to be waiting anyways with a crying toddler especially because I made an appointment. Just came from shopping at the Arcadia Mall and the best experience was here at JC Penney. They have a ton of stuff in the women's departments for sale as well as the kitchen and childrens areas. I bought a couple of cute clutches, earings, and a nice sport jacket for over 50% discount with my coupons. It was not that busy and the registers had plenty of people helping out. I did pay full price for a pair of boots but they were still at a very reasonable price considering other locations such as Nordstrom. I am glad they are getting back to having some coupons. I got the coupons today from the weekend newspaper and then added another one that I received in the mail because I have a Penney's charge card. Great experience overall. read more

Don't ever get a watch from here!!!! My mom and I ordered a watch for my dad that needed a few links taken off and they said that it would take 3-10 days, we got home and the receipt had a new estimation time of three weeks. It has now been over four weeks and my dad's birthday has come and gone. We have been given the run around every time we call. They say that hopefully it will be in next week.
