This is a cute little place near the train station. On an early drive to Danbury one weekend we decided to stop here for a bit. The place is smallish so if you want a table there could be a wait on a busy weekend morning. We sat at the bar. Service was friendly, although slow and distracted like the guy had something else he needed to do. I was able to order a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was fine, a little extra greasy, but tasty. Coffee was okay. If you're nearby, it's a decent place for a bite.

Still serving great food at Jay Street. Best coffee in Katonah. Friendly staff & very accommodating. On the egg sandwich, I asked to swap out the bacon for avocado , the American cheese for cheddar, leave off the hash browns, get the excellent Brioche burger bun toasted and get home fried potatoes on the side. Everything was executed perfectly!

I always love going to towns I haven't been to in a long time and Katonah was a place I hadn't been to since I was young. I had always heard good things about Jay Street and it was a good halfway point to meet up with a friend. We came here around noon on a Sunday and we had about a 15 minute wait after giving our name to the hostess. (They will call you when your table is ready). The dining room is pretty spacious and they also have space at a bar. We both ordered an omelette. The side potatoes and multigrain bread were a great addition. I also had ordered an iced coffee, which was very good! I would come back here!

A great place for yummy and healthy brunches. They offer more than the traditional brunch options, but also have items like matcha latte. My friend especially liked their beef chili. Service was superb. We were the only table that insists on sitting outside on a chilly Saturday, the waiters and waitresses helped to set up a heating fan for our table, and checked on us quite frequently. Would recommend.

Stopped by for lunch and came upon this cute little spot. It was a beautiful day but all of the tables outside were full. We decided to eat inside. We were greeted and seated right away. Server was nice, ordered our lunch which was phenomenal. The salad I had was so good. Dressing was spot on! We then ordered dessert and it may have been the best tiramisu I've had. So light and tasty. I'll definitely be back.

The breakfast was so good! I ordered the "perfect plate" on the breakfast menu which was amazing. The coffee was also pretty good. The bistro interior is very cozy and clean.

Loved this caprese sandwich so much!

Love love this place! Just moved to Katonah and on a sweltering day (the day we closed on our house), we celebrated here over a delicious caprese sandwich with grilled chicken and a big coffee-Oreo milkshake and vanilla egg cream. Their breakfast sandwich is also the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had - it's got hashbrowns inside snd the whole combo of cheese, egg, bacon, and fluffy brioche is so outrageously great. Wow! Loved everything and would get it all again. The caprese comes with a big bowl of salad with fresh cherry tomatoes and I'm even craving that again. Can't wait to come back and try more. 5 stars!!!!

Saturday, 11th April 2026 North Salem, NY…read more Sunny 66°F When we heard about Purdy's being one of the very few Westchester restaurants to receive a Michelin plaque for their stewardship of Farm-to-Table cuisine, we knew we had to visit. Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!

They have a program to text when your table was ready, so we went for a walk in the neighborhood while we waited. A surprisingly short time later, we received the text that our table was ready! The menu(s) had a wonderful selection of food and drinks, along with some specials. They do use a QR code for their menus, but noticed they also had paper menus upon request. Our server was friendly and attentive. The other members of staff would also check in as they passed by. My boyfriend enjoyed the PB & J Latte along with the creole shrimp Benedict. He said it was seasoned well, right level of spice, stated the eggs were poached perfectly, and really enjoyed how moist the cornbread was. I indulged with the "Tipsy Palmer" which is an Arnold Palmer with Bourbon in it. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bourbon taste to it, if any at all, but for a summer brunch drink, it was refreshing. For my entree, I chose the chicken Caesar sliders. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed as the brioche buns seemed a little on the stale/stiff side. The homemade caesar dressing was delicious, but they only coated the lettuce in it which resulted in a bit of a dry slider. I believe the sliders would benefit from a bit of the dressing at least on the bottom of the bun. I asked for (and received) a side of the dressing to bring home to dress up my remaining sliders. Lastly, and I know this is extremely minor, but the silverware was placed incorrectly (knife and fork reversed with the knife edge in the wrong direction). Again, I am WELL AWARE this is minor, but for me, sometimes the minor details are the things that stand out. Overall, a wonderful experience and will try them again at a later date.

We arrived here around 12:30pm, I anticipated a wait due to the holiday (Juneteenth). We were told…read moreno more than 20 mins. We do notice two empty tables outside but understood that maybe they don't want to seat people and overwhelm the kitchen. After about 10 mins of waiting we're offered one of the tables that had been empty. (Which were outside). No menus given but we noticed the QR codes. Guy comes by and drops off cups w ice and a carat of water. Waiting... waiting.... Finally another server comes and asks if we'd like to order drinks. Yes, and our meals bc we've been sitting here for quite some time. We get our coffees and there's a lot of grinds at the bottom of the cups, server switches it out. We finally get our food and two of the three meals were not hot, not even warm. But we're hungry and eat but when the server checks in my sister says "honestly for as long as we waited we would've expected hotter food, these two (egg dishes) are cold." He apologizes and says he'll let the manager know. The manager, who I can only assume is Lisa (based on the responses I'm seeing here on Yelp) came out and said I hear the food is cold? And was very aggressive right off the bat. Saying everything comes right out of the kitchen and to the table, we don't have heat lamps. Offers to "reheat" the food (but how, the microwave?) we're already half way thru the dishes as we had waited a long time. My sister tried to express that after waiting for a table, service and grounds in the coffee that this was disappointing - the manager interjects w "well did you tell him did he give you a new one" She does NOT take criticism very well, she's abrasive and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. She then came out (after I assume finding out the whole story and how long we had been there) she said she would take the two items off the bill, which we weren't gunning for. As we just gave honest feedback when asked how everything was. We then noticed her come and check in on the other tables outside bc people who got there well after us also got their food at the same time... As much as I'd want to come back and try it again bc the promise is there. The manager was such a turn off, that I would be spending my money there, again.
