    FISH TACOS
Pan-fried Cod, cilantro lime slaw, roasted corn,
 jalapeño avocado aioli

Farmhouse Tavern hits that sweet spot between cozy and lively -- perfect for a casual lunch that still feels special. Buffalo Shrimp were the standout starter: crispy, perfectly sauced, and the bacon-blue cheese dip was next-level. I'd come back for that alone. Fish Tacos had great texture -- flaky cod, bright cilantro-lime slaw, and a nice kick from the jalapeño avocado aioli. Farmhouse Burger was a winner. Gruyere, caramelized onions, and bacon all worked together beautifully -- rich without being greasy. Fries were crisp and hot, just how they should be. Service was friendly and quick even on a busy day, and the space has that warm, rustic charm that makes you want to linger. Overall, Farmhouse Tavern is doing it right -- thoughtful food, good energy, and solid execution. Not flawless, but absolutely worth the visit.

Upon entering, we were seated immediately. Beautiful yet simple fall decor. We ordered French onion soup for appetizer. The soup was not very flavored. I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the tavern burger. We ordered both well done, only one came out well done, the other was a little pink. It comes with fries, but they don't give a lot of fries at all. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake and the crème brûlée. Both were fantastic! Service was very good. I would return and try other menu options. Overall, very cute spot and I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

Came for a late lunch/early dinner today with 3 friends and really liked how the restaurant is set up and styled (and very clean bathroom which is always nice) with ample parking. Really impressed by the menu, lots of variety. I wanted to order the jambalaya, but because of the time of day I opted for the chicken burger instead. Was delish!! Perfectly cooked, tons of flavor and the fries were amazing! My friends commented that the fish and chips were good, although could have been a bit crispier, the chicken parm was good and a large serving, and the special chicken dish was ok - mashed potatoes weren't anything to rave about. The waitress was nice, but slow to come around, never came back to ask for drink refills, and never offered dessert before handing us the check. I like not being rushed, but this was a bit too much the other extreme. I would come back to try other menu items.

It has been a long time since we dined at this location in Katonah. It's been operating as several different restaurants over the last 25 years, most recently Katonah Woods. The menu is diverse, and offers a wide selection of menu items from Paella to Cornish Game Hen to Lamb Burger, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's simultaneously rustic and cool, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. We loved our meal here with friends and everyone found something to live on the menu (including the pescatarian). Solid wine list, a nice beer selection and a wonderful atmosphere.

Farmhouse Tavern is located in a shopping center, so there is lots of parking. We started off with burrata, fried calamari, and peel-and-eat shrimp. All three dishes were great. I had a spicy margarita, which was made with fresh jalapeños. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The fries were nice and crispy. I ordered my tavern burger with a side of pickled onions.

Great atmosphere ! A tablecloth restaurant with a cool vibe. Friendly hostess and staff with a varied menu that would satisfy everyone in your party. Excellent stop for a full fancy meal or just a bite. Right off of 684, we stopped there en route to NYC. Excellent choice.

Never had a bad meal or less than amazing service here! I love their farmhouse burger and will substitute blue cheese for a wow type of burger. Their chili Thai wings are amazing. Appetizers most of them are large enough portions for three or more and the bar staff is super awesome! The dining room, the bar, and even outside seating, each is different but yet all are a cool vibe.

Came in today at this wonderful establishment for happy hour. Mr. Nick was the bartender for the time I was there . Today I ordered the shrimp taco on lettuce as well as the chili wings and a red sangria. The chili wings are always the best this time I have some pics. The chili wings have a nice crunch and a wonderful spice to match. I love the buffalo shrimp taco on lettuce which is also very rewarding on the palette. I also enjoy the red sangria that Mr. Nick makes. He is also very hospitable and makes you feel comfortable. Also there is a lady there her name is Allison she is also great and also very welcoming. She also makes your visit rewarding and special. Very nice and relaxed environment which I don't mind Visiting when I can on a weekly basis . I always find a seat at the bar when I do get a chance to show up...

Ask the Community - Farmhouse Tavern

Is Farmhouse Tavern quiet enough for conversation at dinner time?

It can be. If you sit on the left side of the restaurant, away from the bar, the noise level is much less than near the bar.

It's a nice space with the right kind of lighting, but the bar music was a bit too loud for easy conversation. The main courses left a lot to be desired. I don't think any of us (a party of +6) had a really good main course. The Thai vegetable curry was embarrasingly terrible. Stodgy, overwhelming garlic, slop on a plate. Chickpeas and unidentifiable bits of veg with tomato sauce and gloopy rice. So bad, and no thai flavor at all. At least make a decent thai red curry sauce. Or use coconut milk and lemongrass or something that isn't just garlic mush. The fish dish was literally just a piece of fish with a bit of sauce and a curlicue of something. Nothing to go with it. The chorizo shrimp burger tasted okay and had a lot of food on the plate, but my husband said it fell apart as he ate it. I think the Whitlock needs to do better than this. It's not a budget restaurant. I expect better food than what I can make at home.

I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Our server was helpful and was able to answer all of my questions. The server was also very helpful when it came to taking care of my grandpa who had trouble seeing the menu. She brought an extra light to the table in order for him to see the menu which was really kind. In general I would say that I enjoy my trips to Katonah and I think it's pretty cool how the owners of the restaurant had the idea to convert the old train station into the restaurant.
