I had a delightful lunch at this spot! It was my first time there. We were greeted and sat immediately. The restaurant was super comfortable with a wonderful temperature. I had a real solid salad and some amazing fries. Our server was kind, fast, and efficient. Would most certainly visit again! read more

Farmhouse Tavern hits that sweet spot between cozy and lively -- perfect for a casual lunch that still feels special. Buffalo Shrimp were the standout starter: crispy, perfectly sauced, and the bacon-blue cheese dip was next-level. I'd come back for that alone. Fish Tacos had great texture -- flaky cod, bright cilantro-lime slaw, and a nice kick from the jalapeño avocado aioli. Farmhouse Burger was a winner. Gruyere, caramelized onions, and bacon all worked together beautifully -- rich without being greasy. Fries were crisp and hot, just how they should be. Service was friendly and quick even on a busy day, and the space has that warm, rustic charm that makes you want to linger. Overall, Farmhouse Tavern is doing it right -- thoughtful food, good energy, and solid execution. Not flawless, but absolutely worth the visit. read more

Upon entering, we were seated immediately. Beautiful yet simple fall decor. We ordered French onion soup for appetizer. The soup was not very flavored. I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the tavern burger. We ordered both well done, only one came out well done, the other was a little pink. It comes with fries, but they don't give a lot of fries at all. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake and the crème brûlée. Both were fantastic! Service was very good. I would return and try other menu options. Overall, very cute spot and I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area. read more

This dinner last night was an unforgettable experience. I booked my reservation, blind, as I had never eaten here. My daughter was driving up to CT from NYC and wanted to meet In Katonah for dinner. Our server, Allison, was the best and the food satisfied everyone's choices. To cap off the experience, and when the crowd thinned out, the music streaming was a stellar selection of great oldies music from the 50's - 70's. My only "ding" in my review is the noise level when we arrived, sitting at a table near the front of the restaurant. The brick wall, and glass windows were not acoustic friendly. However, I heard later that one half of the restaurant was much quieter. read more

Came for a late lunch/early dinner today with 3 friends and really liked how the restaurant is set up and styled (and very clean bathroom which is always nice) with ample parking. Really impressed by the menu, lots of variety. I wanted to order the jambalaya, but because of the time of day I opted for the chicken burger instead. Was delish!! Perfectly cooked, tons of flavor and the fries were amazing! My friends commented that the fish and chips were good, although could have been a bit crispier, the chicken parm was good and a large serving, and the special chicken dish was ok - mashed potatoes weren't anything to rave about. The waitress was nice, but slow to come around, never came back to ask for drink refills, and never offered dessert before handing us the check. I like not being rushed, but this was a bit too much the other extreme. I would come back to try other menu items. read more

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! The ambience was so cute and relaxing. We were seated right away at 1pm on a Sunday. The chicken Caprese sandwich was so flavorful and we asked for the fries well done and they had that perfect outer crunch to potato inside. My son enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball meal and my other son loved his mozzarella sticks and well done fries. The only slight disappointment was that the simple tavern burger was so good and the service/wait for food was so long. It didn't help that we were driving through and stopped for lunch on a 12 hour planned drive. We didn't have that much time to waste. If we ever happened to be driving by again, I would return to this restaurant. read more

I like the overall friendliness of the resturant vibe . The bar can be a bit loud at times but usually after happy hour it quiets! I have had chicken quesadilla and nachos on the bar menu. Both were great my daughter's favorite is the spicy chicken and I recently ordered the chicken melanase with grilled chicken it was tasteful ! had to ask for a to go carton . read more

It has been a long time since we dined at this location in Katonah. It's been operating as several different restaurants over the last 25 years, most recently Katonah Woods. The menu is diverse, and offers a wide selection of menu items from Paella to Cornish Game Hen to Lamb Burger, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's simultaneously rustic and cool, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. We loved our meal here with friends and everyone found something to live on the menu (including the pescatarian). Solid wine list, a nice beer selection and a wonderful atmosphere. read more

We stopped here on our way back to southern Westchester from an evening at Harvest Moon. Service was extremely friendly. Decor was cozy and perfect for a tavern feel. Food was delicious. Lemon spaghetti was excellent - and a very generous portion. The burger was messy but very well seasoned and cooked. Lemon chicken was also very generously sized and was very tasty. The mashed potatoes and spinach were nice sides for the chicken. Kids chicken fingers and fries were good. A really great spot when in the area and looking for a comfortable setting and delicious food. read more

Farmhouse Tavern is located in a shopping center, so there is lots of parking. We started off with burrata, fried calamari, and peel-and-eat shrimp. All three dishes were great. I had a spicy margarita, which was made with fresh jalapeños. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The fries were nice and crispy. I ordered my tavern burger with a side of pickled onions. read more

Never had a bad meal or less than amazing service here! I love their farmhouse burger and will substitute blue cheese for a wow type of burger. Their chili Thai wings are amazing. Appetizers most of them are large enough portions for three or more and the bar staff is super awesome! Came in today at this wonderful establishment for happy hour. Mr. Nick was the bartender for the time I was there . Today I ordered the shrimp taco on lettuce as well as the chili wings and a red sangria. The chili wings are always the best this time I have some pics. The chili wings have a nice crunch and a wonderful spice to match. I love the buffalo shrimp taco on lettuce which is also very rewarding on the palette. I also enjoy the red sangria that Mr. Nick makes. He is also very hospitable and makes you feel comfortable. Also there is a lady there her name is Allison she is also great and also very welcoming. She also makes your visit rewarding and special. Very nice and relaxed environment which I don't mind Visiting when I can on a weekly basis . I always find a seat at the bar when I do get a chance to show up... read more

A+ for ambiance and an A for service, but that's about it. The food was TERRIBLE. Spaghetti that tasted like microwaved chef boyardee and a burger completely devoid of seasoning. We chose it based on reviews and boy, did they lead us astray. read more

Well decorated and nice ambiance. Staff was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were good but could have had a little less Ice. We all enjoyed our meals. Yummy and nice presentation. After living in Bedford Hills since December 2024 we finally made our way to Farmhouse Tavern for lunch and are so glad we did. My wife and I wanted to have a small bite for lunch and decided to share an appetizer and entree. We mutually decided on Chicken Dumplings and Fish and Chips. The dumplings were super tasty and came with two dipping sauces. The fish and chips were the best we've ever had, hands down. Super fresh, not greasy but very crunchy and the fries were cooked perfectly. To add to the delightful entree was an amazing tartar sauce, which alone was worth the price. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday afternoon which was nice to see. We were seated right away, our waiter came took our drink order and was ever present but not hovering. The restaurant has two sides one side has a bar area with a few tables while the other side has about 15-20 tables. They can accommodate a larger party as one of the occupied tables had 7 or so people at it. The restaurant boasts a rustic charm and uses fresh locally sourced ingredients. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be prepared to spend a little more to get an extremely good meal! Believe me it's worth it and you won't be disappointed. Wide variety of dishes available. We will be going back, read more

I was here celebrating my aunt Jenny's 60th birthday, and I loved how good the food was, I loved how the servers were kind and attentive. The restaurant was also pretty cool with a country rustic vibe. I ordered a bloody mary which was pretty good. I think they put a little to much alcohol in it, though, because I had to sober up a bit with a coke and some coffee. Everything I tried was delicious including but not limited to their shrimp cocktails, tuna tartare, and ribeye steak. They were also able to do modify anything on their menu to fit my dietary needs and even offered to cut up the cake so we could serve it. I would also love to give a huge shoutout to our servers, Bari, Dorian, and James who were really made our experience at the Farmhouse Tavern outstanding and unforgettable. I would come here a lot more if I lived in the area. read more

Great food and service is excellent. We live in Bedford and enjoy going to this restaurant because the menu is wonderful and has something for everyone. Portions are very generous, much so that you have to plan to take some of your dinner home to have room for dessert. read more

A real fun atmosphere at this spot that's half restaurant, half bar. Been here twice and both times the food was just okay, with their delicious French onion soup being the best thing they've got. Wasn't too into their salmon burger or Farmhouse burger actually (the cheese was super strong and the whole thing kind of fell apart). Would come back here for a casual hang with a friend over an appetizer but not racing back. read more

The food and service was really good! The farmhouse burger was very juicy and flavorful. The fries were also on point. Paella was also a good option for seafood lovers. We also got steamed clams and fried calamari. Both were really well done but the calamari was the star (soft and had pickled peppers). Service was great and attentive. I had a girlfriend get together brunch here. It was the perfect place for it! It's very cute inside with the brick interior. Started off with a bloody Mary that was spicy and delicious, and for entrées, we ordered the following: The farmhouse burger, Eggs Benedict, veggie omelette, and chicken paillard. The eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked with a wonderful hollandaise. The omelette was fluffy and delicious. The burger was absolutely amazing, with melted Gruyere cheese, bacon, and onions. I very much enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The chicken Paillard looked like a masterpiece when it arrived, with fresh arugula and tomatoes atop a golden chicken breast. We loved it all! For dessert, we had two birthdays in the crowd so we all shared a beautiful brownie à la mode and a berry pie. Both were sweet and delicious. Our waitress was really nice and friendly, and very patient with us. We were not rushed but treated very well. We will be back! read more

I came here to dinner with my family on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy. We made reservations just in case but there were still plenty of empty tables. The food was standard. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer. I had the scallops and grits which apparently was a new item on their menu. It was actually pretty good. The scallops were soft and well-cooked and the grits were creamy. It came with tomatoes and chorizo as well. I personally don't like chorizo so I put those to the side but I liked the flavor and sweetness they added to the dish. I think added grilled asparagus would have completed the dish with a crunchy texture, some bitterness, and color. We had the tiramisu (just ok) and the chocolate lava cake (also just ok). The only thing is, I was confused about a chewy piece that wouldn't break down and when I spat it out, it was some plastic strip. I'm hoping it was the oven lining for the cake. Fingers crossed. read more

After some debate, I decided to come back here again to see if this place truly lived up to my 5 star review last year and to my delight it did. We got the calamari, the farmhouse burger and they allowed us to purchase a kids portion of penne vodka which was extremely helpful for us. Last time i reviewed this place, i failed to rave enough about the bread that they provide for free. Not only is it served warm and with a spread, but the bread is almost perfect; crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I decided to write this follow up review because the hostesss Allison was so very helpful in answering questions about the bread but also had a full conversation with me and my son which made us feel like family. I hope to be back soon! read more

Great food and service at this casual bistro inspired tavern. The French onion soup is an absolute must. We had lunch and so we chose the regular and chicken burgers which were solid tasty choices but next visit we'll likely choose from the eclectic menu. It's clear this place knows how to do the classics perfectly. The crème brûlée lacked density. Beer choices were exceptional! read more

Service is wonderful. Waitress was a pleasure. Food was lackluster. Complimentary bread and dip were so good, but sadly they were the standout portion of the meal. read more

Beautiful atmosphere. The spinach strawberry salad was very good with plenty of fresh strawberries that combined well with the blue cheese, almonds and pecans. The French onion soup was good and flavorful and the chopped fresh green onions on top were an excellent choice although the portion was a small for the price and it was warm, which is fine for me, but not hot. Unfortunately, the Farmhouse Burger was only OK and my wife and I wouldn't get it again because it wasn't worth the price. The burger meat was preformed with no flavor, the bacon was not crispy but thankfully not rubbery. The best part was that the lettuce was very crispy which was great. Putting the lettuce and tomato under the burger looked pretty but was structurally unsound meaning that it slid off right away making for a very messy episode. The caramelized onions and Russian dressing were plentiful which was good but not enough to save from the flavorless meat and poor engineering. The staff was attentive and it was not busy on a holiday weekend which made the meal pleasant. read more

Hunting for eateries north of White Plains, I stopped by Farmhouse Tavern for a late lunch/early dinner. With the name Farmhouse Tavern, I half-expected country breakfast options. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with what they offered, a modern / fusion take on American cuisine Ambiance: The space felt modern yet humble. It's decor, inspired by its namesake, 'Farmhouse', sprinkled farm imagery and knickknacks. I felt comfortable in my casualwear, but I feel that the space could work for formal occasions as well. Food: My goal was to find good food as I was going solo. Once I saw that there were specials (I believe that there are daily specials), I went straight for all of them. (Next time I'll go with their everyday menu). Lobster Bisque to begin, Manchego baked Oysters as an appetizer, Grilled Spicy Adobo Shrimp as an entrée. All courses were very good. The Manchego baked oysters blew my mind! Service: The greeter and waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. They attended to my questions, took my order and came back to check on me often. Special shout out to Dorian, who did a great job with my dessert, which was a mixed berry cake (loved it) Final Thoughts: This place is an awesome find as its unique/approachable feel, yet modern food options makes it versatile for any occasion. I can't call it a hidden gem, as I didn't come during prime-time regular dinner service, however, based on the above criteria, the place is a must eat! read more
