LED butterfly decorations and cute knitted roses on the table as Valentine's Day decor. They also had a Valentine's Day ambiance video on the tv. Service was fantastic The food. We both ordered the skirt steak and were just so so so pleased at how it came out. We want to come back and (big surprise) get the exact same thing again. We ordered it medium rare they both came out beautifully. So so so flavorful. Faaaaaantastic. The broccoli had a smoky taste to it--so so good. And the potatoes were also good. .5 deduction because there are no fresh beers on draft, only bottled beer. That would make this a five star establishment in my opinion. But it kind of already is. We hit a home run with this hidden jewel! Monarca, is a cozy and small restaurant that is ideal for a quiet dinner and tasty cuisine. Their booking app was Toast Tables, one I'm unfamiliar, but functioned similarly to Open Table, and worked efficiently. Parking on Friday (1/6/24) evening was $1.25 for 2.5 hours, more than enough time for our visit. Our server/host was Wilmer, who we found to be very welcoming and friendly. He worked the floor almost single-handedly, but was able to avail himself to answer questions and provide quality service. To start, we ordered margaritas. Julie had the strawberry and I had the classic. These drinks were made perfectly and tastefully. They were probably the best drinks we've ever had, including the ones we've enjoyed in Mexico! We shared a delicious Caesar's Salad that had crispy greens and flavorful dressing. I savored the medium-rare rib eye steak, though it was a bit pricey. Julie said her chicken tacos were the best tacos she's ever had! For dessert we shared a Vanilla Crème brûlée, that was outstandingly fresh! I went here for a dinner on a Saturday night with my family, and I thought the food and service were both outstanding. The cocktail menu was also very creative, and the margaritas were delicious. We started with the arancini. There were two to share served over tomato sauce, and they were enough as an appetizer for 4 people. For entrees, the highlights were definitely the Al Pastor tacos and the skirt steak. Both were cooked perfectly and had a generous portion. The shrimp scampi and pasta bolognese were also good, but the sauce was a touch soupy for my liking. The tartufo dessert was excellent. I highly recommend trying it. My wife and I went here on Easter Sunday afternoon and it was us and two other couples. The place was small but had a nice homey feel to it. Nicely decorated and there was a small bar in the back. They had nice soft music in the background. We ordered the Monarca meatballs for an appetizer. They were average size not large and there were two. They were dry and had no taste. They were served with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and shredded fresh Parmesan on top. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Madeira and Rigatoni Marsala. The Marsala sauce was more like a broth and they gave very little food. I probably had 4 strips of chicken and two Portobello mushrooms which were cut up to make it look like more. They also gave very little pasta. It was very little food for the price. It was not worth the money or our time. We won't be going back. read more

Fresh and delicious! They have fresh squeezed juices and let you create your own blend. We had strawberry, pineapple, orange, mango (mine had cucumber too). It was the perfect appetizer!! I had the white bean salad with salmon. One kid has the French toast with berries, which was good...and one had the meatballs which she said tasted boring although the bread, sauce, and cheese were good. This is a restaurant where I wish I had 3 stomachs! Everything was so delicious! I had chicken Madeira, and my husband ordered the rib steak chimichurri. Both came with asparagus and mash potatoes. My husband and I picked from one another plates, and my goodness, our taste buds were screaming with joy! We later had the mango cream cheese, which they made, and it was the most delicious, fluffy, creamy, cream cheese i've ever had. It just melted in my mouth! The owner, Wilmer, was attentive and kind. Tried Monarca for the first time tonight and we were very pleasantly delighted to find this hidden gem right in downtown Kisco across the street from the train station! The space is very nicely done with tasteful decor and a very pleasant ambiance. The owner is very nice and made us beautiful drinks. The food was delicious, we got the burrata pesto flatbread (so so yum) and the hungry burger to share, and wow did it hit the spot. So tasty and well crafted, I would definitely recommend. Came for happy hour. Unfortunately we were the only patrons there. Tried the blood orange margarita and mango mojito, both of which were good. My fiancée also tried the peach sangria. Had a good peach flavor, but a little too sweet for my liking. We got the cheesy fries, which were fine. I honestly would have preferred a queso sauce, or melted shredded cheese instead of cheese sauce. The fries were crispy and had good flavor. We also shared the beef empanadas, which were okay to me but my fiancée really enjoyed them. They didn't taste like traditional empanadas. The filling seemed to have more potato filling than shredded beef. I was expecting a picadillo style beef filling. I'll come back and try out their entrees/brunch. When you look at the menu, it's a little all over the place. I'm not sure what vibe they're going for...are they Latin or italian or both? read more

The best addition to downtown Mount Kisco. The food is fresh, tasty, and so well-balanced. The lemony arugala salad was perfection and the breakfast bowls so fresh and well prepared. I plan to work my way through their menu, which offers enough things that whatever you're in the mood for, well it's right there! The service is friendly and professional. The decor is pretty and I love that even though most of the menu is casual, the white table cloths signal a notch above others trying to do the same. Can't wait to go back. read more

I had the most delicious lunch at Monarca's the other day. I ordered the California pizza. It is a personal pie (very substantial) and it has arugula, halved tomatoes, cubed mozzarella and avocado, with drizzled balsamic dressing. It is absolutely mouth watering! Wuilmer, the owner, takes great pride in what they are doing. There are many interesting items on the menu, so all palates will be satisfied. They are happy to take suggestions and are constantly working to upgrade your experience. Restaurant Week is coming to Mount Kisco, give Monarca a try! -Beth read more
