Sure. I may have been born unsophisticated, I am not well learnt, and I am surely not civilized. My mother told me so before she dropped me off at the neighboring wolf families home, built of brick, of which where I was raised. Badageoni, in the Kisc, has a very nice interior. A bar, deep sea of tables and a nice overall darkish vibe. Right downtown, on a corner, where the greats are made. Little stick ball with Willie Mays, don't say no. Say hey, kid. I'm inexperienced in Georgian cuisine, and mildly unfamiliar but relatively familiar with their history and livelihood. I have a few Georgian acquaintances and friends. Good people. Princes, princesses from what I hear. And I recall hearing of Khinkali through these winding and never ending channels that seem to lead their way through or to me. Life. What a thing. So I got an order and some Ojakhuri as well. I feel spectacular just typing these Georgian words out. Who do I think I am? Anyways. The Ojakhuri was actually solid, tasteful BUT it seemed like something I'd rather make at home rather than order from a restaurant and that's my overall takeaway from my trip and is why I tossed 4 instead of 5 stars. However. I love dumplings. I love dumplings from every and from all cultures. I need a second go to confirm, but I believe (HOT TAKE ALERT) Khinkali are the superior form of dumpling on the planet. Yes, I did say that. I have some more ethnic dumplings to try but this has taken a big jump on the list to number 1. I've never been to Antarctica, who knows what type of dumplings the polar bears are hiding. And before you lose your minds on me, it's a joke. It is an ***** joke. Badageoni is a Georgian restaurant that opened since 2019, in Mt. Kisco, NY. It's a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor; they had vines and plants on the ceiling. There is on street metered parking and free parking lots nearby. We were in the area and searched for a highly rated restaurant, and this one came up. We went in on Saturday for lunch; the service was pleasant. They had high chairs for my munchkin, which shows that they are kid-friendly. I've never had Georgian food before, so I was excited. I did notice the prices were pretty high for each menu item. My family and I shared a few appetizers, I definitely want to try more from their menu soon. We had the following: Adjaruli- this is a cheesy bread bowl with butter and an egg yolk. The cheese was super stretchy; the bread was hot, chewy, and soft; the egg yolk and butter added a nice touch. Even my picky toddler approved. 5 stars for that. Kinkhali: 5 soup dumlings, we chose the beef and pork. This reminded me of the Chinese soup dumplings. The stuffing inside has a nice flavor with a mix of herbs and spice. 4 stars. Kubdari- it's a round sliced minced meat bread. The meat reminded me of sausage and the bread was nice and flaky. I would rate this 3.5 stars. I finished off with a Turkish coffee; it was good until the bottom, there were a ton of coffee grounds. 2 stars for that. Overall, we had a good lunch so I rounded to all to 4 stars. It was something different, which I love. I look forward to coming back on special occasions and trying out more items. read more

Yum! It was such a pleasure getting to explore Georgian cuisine at Badageoni. The dishes have amazing flavors and do a great job celebrating some classic ingredients in an original way--a bread bowl filled with egg, cheese, and butter, yes please! We loved the dumplings, the salads, and the Cornish hen entree! The serve was great too, as our server gave us helpful recommendations and their wine selection did not disappoint. Came here by recommendation from a friend and had a great time. We made a reservation a few days prior with plenty of openings, but misremembered the time of the reservation, came 30 mins late, and the reservation was given away and the whole place was booked full. So this place is very busy! Would definitely book ahead. I guess there is a reason that they are so busy, we really enjoyed our dinner here. The ambiance is nice, very nicely decorated and it is a clean and spacious environment. One of the young female servers at the bar who seems to be in charge of making drinks looked kinda angry, did not speak much English, and kind of had an attitude when we had questions, but the other workers were pretty nice and helpful. It is apparent that this is kind of a family owned place and they clearly don't have enough workers for how busy the place is. We often had to wait for awhile for our services, but we felt bad even asking for more things bc the servers all seem so stressed/overworked. Everyone remained nice though despite being so busy. If they are able to increase the number of servers, it would really improve the quality of the restaurant. Anyways, the food was amazing. It was our first time having Georgian food and it did not disappoint! The cheese bread is very unique, delicious, and so did every other dish that came after it. Lovely place with pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful & attentive service. Menu full of distinctly Georgian dishes that were all new to us, so we ordered a bunch of appetizers we could all share and the food was not only completely new to us, but also delicious and very flavorful. Don't miss the Georgian "Napoleon" for dessert, but beware that it's big enough to feed 3-4 people. We didn't have any for lunch, but one of our party who had been there before said the Georgian wines were delicious. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, there were many tables available. We were sat in the back portion and given menus. It took a very long time for us to be greeted by our server. There was a large party adjacent to us that kept getting larger as the night went on. The food was delicious but was blown away that they charged $14 for a club soda & cranberry (no alcohol).... Adding insult to injury we were asked to give up our table and move to the bar area. There were many other tables available in the establishment and it seemed more that they wanted our table to free up space for the party. Even though the food was delicious. Every time I review a Georgian restaurant I preface it by saying I'm part Georgian, I've been to Georgia, and I've been exploring NYC and Brooklyn's Georgian food scene since before it was cool. Believe me when I say Badageoni is FREAKING LEGIT. Georgian food is supposed to taste like my grandma is in the kitchen cooking away a storm and pouring all her love into it. That's exactly what you get here. Come and order a bunch of different things, share everything. The pikhali platter was super fresh. Georgian salad was delicious. The lamb khinkali were the best I've had in New York, period. Excellent. They also have potato khinkali which are more like potato pelmeni/vareniki in this really good creamy sauce. I also tried the ojakhuri with mushrooms and I could've sworn my mother made that dish. Get the adjaruli khachapuri. Get the Marani Tvishi wine. It's the best. I keep bottles of it in my house. It's a family owned business. I spoke to one of them and they came to America only five years ago, from Tbilisi. Still amazing! I want to add that the Ojakhuri is excellent, and the "family style" is more than enough to serve two people, especially if you have the Adjaruli and the Georgian salad first. This restaurant is a wonderful part of the Westchester restaurant scene and is highly recommended. WOW!! Another hidden Gem in Mount Kisco. This place is wonderful. The inside is beautiful, the staff is fantastic, and the food is Amazing!! It can be intimidating to try food from different countries and cultures..that's not a problem here..the staff guided us and the meal was delicious!! ( it's very similar to Greek or Turkish..grilled meats, stews, delicious breads and cheeses ) Our server Sophia was great and the owner checked on us a few times..even surprising us with a yummmy piece of her homemade Honey Cake. This was my first time trying Badageoni and my first time trying Georgian food and I absolutely loved it! I didn't get pictures of the bean dish called lobio and I got or their bread called shoti. we also tried their hot sauce called ajika- which for me as a spicy loving person was very mild yet flavorful. Everything I tried was super delicious and fresh tasting. My husband got the chicken mtsvadi and I did try his home fries which were incredible. They were softer than a usual French fry and covered in seasonings and fresh dill- the fresh dill honestly took it over the top. There were sooo many vegan options on the menu- it was hard not to get everything they had to offer! We left with a ton of leftovers which is always a good thing. Next time when I'm drinking I'd love to try some authentic Georgian wine with our meal! We will definitely be back. read more

We haven't been here since it first opened and last night decided to pop in without a reservation. We couldn't settle on where to dine, and I am so glad we landed here. We started with the pkhali rolls and they were perfection. The eggplant was so soft and flavorful and the walnut pate was a great complement. We had to get a khachapuri because...bread and cheese. We did the one with the egg and it was rich, sinful, and seriously freaking good. It took every ounce of willpower for us not to eat the whole thing. For our mains, we had the chicken skewers and the salmon with garlic cream sauce. My salmon was incredible. It was cooked perfectly and it took both my remaining willpower and my small sense of pride not to bathe in the sauce. read more

I could only eat one piece. The veg was tasty. The beef in the Chashushuli was also a bit tough, not fatty enough for a stew based meat. The flavor of the soup overall was tasty, great paired with the bread. I'd stick with the non-meat orders here, unless you have good teeth and jaws 3/5 Badageoni is kind of like a panna cotta with the rum sauce. Mt. Kisco has really become a hidden gem of gastronomy. We have the insta famous Mt. Kisco Diner and tons of different cuisines including Ethiopian at one point. My initial surprise to see that a Georgian restaurant had opened up was pretty unwarranted on reflection. At a certain point, one has to venture outside of Village Social or Little Kebab and this place seemed like a decent bet. Plenty of vacancy on a Sunday night that happened to be Easter at prime dinner eating time. I was disappointed to see no Georgian cocktails, assuming they exist. The cocktails on the drink menu are standard classics. There were no house concoctions. Plenty of wine, no beer. The menu, fortunately, isn't overwhelming but they include the important shit (for me), plenty of vegetarian options. I really should have ordered the only Georgian thing anyone knows about because of social media, that cheese boat thing (for the gram) but I'm not a fan of whole eggs like that and wasn't feeling particularly adventurous. We decided to share a bunch of shit including their country style salad, lobio, imeruli, and potato khinkali. Everything was brought out very quickly, perhaps a touch too quickly because I like to have a moment to savor my beverage and have zero willpower to do so after food has arrived. The country style salad was dressed with a really tasty dressing and it was nice to have a reprieve from the standard mainstream dressings. The tomatoes were served in very large chunks which is just not my personal preference. They then brought out the imeruli, which is "traditional round cheese bread". This is essentially a cheese quesadilla if 2 tortillas were used instead of 1. This was served piping hot and was very good. Shortly afterwards, we were presented with the khinkali, "potato dumplings in cream sauce topped off with fried onions". These taste pretty similar, if not identical, to pierogi. That cream sauce is heavenly. These did not last long on the plate. Finally, we received the lobio which was served in the most adorable little terra cotta pot along with cabbage and a piece of cornbread. I can't get enough the simplicity of a bowl of fucking decently seasoned beans. This was ok but could have been seasoned better. The cornbread was different than what we are used to, not at all sweet and with a different texture. The staff were nice but aloof. Once our food was served, we were never asked again if we needed anything. I would have wanted to order another drink but was not offered one after both of us had empty wine glasses that sat on the table for the rest of the meal. If it weren't for this, they would have probably earned 4 stars. I would like to see this place stick around, they just need to improve the service a touch. read more

What an amazing experience. We ate and ate and visited and celebrated. The food was like nothing I'd ever eaten. What a treat! Everything was fresh and abundant. The waitress was lovely and patient as she explained all of our food choices. Here's what we had, I'd recommend all of it: Imeruli, Georgian Salad (YES!!), Pkhali rolls, Mini Khinkali (baby dumplings in a cream sauce in a puff pastry in a bowl), Chakapuli. This gem has been on my list for a while now and I am pleased to report it met expectations. It is the only restaurant of its kind in the area, I'm not even sure where the nearest Georgian restaurant is outside of NYC. This is a wholesome, family run establishment and the staff seemed very friendly and attentive. For starters I had a chicken soup, Georgian style which was unique to the chicken soup you're probably used to. A broth which incorporates egg yolk and a distinct taste of dill. I really enjoyed it. In addition, we had to order the famous bread, the adjaruli. It is as aesthetically pleasing as it is delicious and can easily be shared between 4 people. For mains we got a beef stew and lamb stew. Both were so rich, hearty, and full of different flavors. The meat was tender and delicious. The stews are served with bread. For dessert we got the badageoni pudding. It was very good, not too sweet. Next time when we return with a few more people we want to try the napoleon which we saw a lot of people ordering. It was huge and looked like it could easily satisfy 4 people. This place, to put it simply, just serves very impressive food. The bread is out of this world. Truly artisanal and baked to perfection. It's right by the Metro North. I came for Sunday lunch and there were plenty of seats. I had the potato dumplings, lamb stew, beef stew, Georgian coffee, and napoleon. All of it was comforting and delicious. The stews had a lot of meat and came with bread. I personally preferred the lamb stew with the tomato paste over the beef stew, which had a lot of cilantro. Wow!!! I have had Georgian food in the past and loved it. Badageoni takes my love for Georgian food to another level! The food here is absolutely AMAZING!!! It had been a while since I last had Georgian food in Manhattan and when I found out that Mt. Kisco had a Georgian restaurant, I knew that I had to give it a shot and I absolutely thrilled that I went. There is ample street parking near the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant, you will notice that there is plenty of table seating and a beautiful bar with plenty of space. One will also notice all of the Georgian decorative touches throughout the restaurant. To start, we ordered margaritas. The margaritas come in a variety of different flavors. We opted to get the watermelon and peach-flavored ones. The drinks were decent, which is fine with me, because the food was definitely the star of the show. As an appetizer, we ordered the Adjaruli. It is a "bowl-shaped" bread that has cheese, butter, and an egg in the center. To eat it, one should get a fork and mix the cheese, butter, and egg that is in the center of the bread. Then, one rips off pieces from around the bread to dip into and scoop up the cheese mixture. I had a similar appetizer in a different Georgian restaurant so I was familiar with the appetizer. The Adjaruli at Badageoni is phenomenal. It also is a pretty large size. We were a party of 2 and were already feeling full from the drinks and appetizers alone. As main dishes, we ordered the Lamb Mtsvadi and the Pork & Mushroom Ojakhuri. These dishes were pretty large, so we were only able to eat half and took the rest to take home. The Mtsvadi was superb. It came with perfectly seasoned chunks of lamb meat and with a couple of lamb ribs. All of the meat had amazing flavor that makes my mouth water even writing this review. The Mtsvadi comes served on a bed of leafy greens and seasoned French fries. The Ojakhuri was also a large dish with fried pork chunks and well-seasoned large mushroom slices. This dish tasted so good that I wish I could have eaten more of it while I was at the restaurant. Lastly, we ordered the Napoleon dessert which was massive. It is a flaky pastry that contains layers of a sweet cream, which reminds me of the cream of a Boston Cream donut. The dessert was sweet and I loved it. We were only able to eat about a third of the Napoleon before we were too full. We ended up taking the remainder of our meals and dessert home. Overall, Badageoni has become one of my all-time favorite restaurants. All of the food is amazing and the portions are generous. Make sure to add this place to your restaurant wishlist. Glad to have Georgian food in Westchester. However, on my first try, I was not too impressed. Compared to what I had in Europe at least. An enjoyable evening with family - Badageoni appears to be a Mount Kisco "hot spot" as tables filled early and everyone seemed to have a fine time. A popular menu item - and rightfully so - is the "Adjaruli" (baked bread) with blended cheese and a sunny side egg topping. Split into four and shared pizza style we found this selection to be a tasteful starter. The pan-seared Salmon in garlic sauce - somewhat overcooked and dry - fell a bit short on expectations. The "Tabaka Platter" (pan-fried cornish hen with home fries and pickles) was satisfying however priced high at $35. The "Chashushuli" or beef stew with tomatoes and pickles was enjoyed as was "Chakapuli" or lamb stew. I've only recently discovered the enjoyment of Georgian cuisine. I'm not an expert on whether everything here is prepared in a truly authentic manner, but I'm certainly more of an expert on what I enjoy, and I enjoyed dining here. The wines are amazing, and I wonder if there could be an option to sample a flight of Georgian wines. Just sampling 1 or 2 is not enough! The appetizer we ordered looked exactly like a photo of the same dish a friend of mine shared with me while he was in Tbilisi last month. The entree list is somewhat short, so what that means is what they do they'd better do well, which IMO is the case. The one thing I'm not completely sure about is the meats. In other Georgian restaurants, it was still on the bone for similar dishes, but here it was cubed. But oh man were those meats tender and flavorful, and I appreciated the bread accompanying them to dip (or sop!) into the sauces. I wasn't quite as impressed with the list of desserts, but I was so satisfied with the rest of the meal that I didn't feel as if I was missing out. Service here was fun as well, and it felt like we could banter with the staff if we wanted, reinforcing just how social a Georgian dining experience should be.
