Went to Badageoni Georgian Kitchen for the first time for my birthday last night and certainly did not disappoint, I would highly recommend it! The food was delicious, so fresh, authentic, and homemade. Also it is a new spice profile to me which made it exciting to try everything. Started with the signature cheese and egg yolk bread bowl which is a must try! Then moved on to the Georgian salad and pork soup dumplings. For entrees we had the lamb stew and grilled chicken platter. Also had a side of the shoti bread which was amazing. Unfortunately I didn't take any other pics everything was so good. I've never had Georgian food , but I'm so glad I found this place from "Westchester " magazine. The ambiance is simple yet graceful and elegant with great service and chef ‍. I started with Adjaruli with an egg on top which was so delicious. The server, Giga was amazing and he recommended a nice red wine to go with it. I followed it by Mtsvadi (Griiled Lamb) which was juicy and succulent accompanied by grilled potatoes. Had a delightful meal at Badageoni this afternoon. The weather was nice so we done outside for lunch. Started with a cheese board with a sunny side egg on top. Outstanding! Next had some dumplings, good but not necmy cup of tea, very flavorful though. Also a lulu kabob.... nicely spiced with a delicious dipping sauce and fries. All in all a great meal. We had a fabulous lunch here! Our waiter, was very patient and explained the dishes to us. He also made recommendations to make sure that we had a typical Georgian meal. For a starter, we shared an Adjaruli A traditional open-faced cheese bread with a sunny side up egg on top. OMG! It was fabulous with a Great doughy texture and cheese oozing out of it. A perfect beginning! For entrées, we ordered the lamb chakapuli, Pkhali and Tabaka. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. One of my friends commented that was the "best lamb she's ever had in her entire life." Now that's an endorsement! The Tabaka chicken was so crispy and delicious with a tangy pomegranate sauce. The three different kinds of Pkhali were all tasty. One was beet, one was carrot, and one was spinach. All three were a taste sensation. Overall, we all loved the entire meal. This is now my favorite restaurant in Mt. Kisco!! We have wanted to go into this restaurant for a while, but do not know Georgian food so we're a little bit apprehensive. After our dinner last night... I wish we would've gone in sooner. The staff was fantastic and taught us about the food and the country. Food was exceptional and full of flavors that we unique yet competing. It was well spiced without being spicy. There was 4 of us and chose 4 dishes to share. In this bizarre era - you can go to a restaurant but should you? - I won't forget the spectacular service at Badageoni. They graciously set up a sidewalk table for us, complete with candlelight. The best strategy is a mix-and-match so you can try appetizers. If you're only picking one appetizer, the pkhali is an excellent choice, a great mix of the familiar (beets, spinach and carrots) and the new (to me anyway). The beef-and-pork khinkhali is juicy, almost into soup dumpling territory. Chakapuli is under signature dishes and is listed first so of course that's a great choice, featuring lamb with ingredients including tarragon. After this feast, dessert was an option, but with the top notch food and service I expect to make the two hour JC-to-Mount Kisco trek relatively soon. read more

Friday early evening. My wife and I enjoyed cheesy flatbread. Deeply satisfying. The beef/pork kabobs were carefully cooked and effectively seasoned. Really didn't want to write bad review about this place, because food there is really delicious. I went to Badageoji for the third time, last Saturday with my friend who visited me from Miami. I made a reservation, but when we came in, they seated us on the table by the front door, even if the half of the space in the back was empty, and every time that door opens it was freezing! The service was very unpleasant and unprofessional. First of all they didn't pour water to us, we had to do it by ourselves. Second of all the waitresses were bringing our food and just put every single dish on the edge of the table, so i have to move the hot plates by myself. Excellent! When we arrived, the owner set us up at an outdoor table and helped us better understand the menu. She made several suggestions, almost of which we decided to try. We were not disappointed. Having never enjoyed Georgian cuisine before, we were surprised and delighted with the experience. Everything was delicious. Service was good, but the only thing holding me back from a five-star review was the frequent feeling of needing something at our curbside table, but our server was indoors without keeping tabs on his three outdoor tables. I have been to Bada two times. The first time was a party of two and the most previous time which I am going to focus on today was a solo adventure. I enjoyed the Georgian food and was inspired to go because of Tamuna. Tamuna is a yoga teacher of mine who is Georgian. What a gem of a find. Clean and roomy inside - Family owned and really friendly knowledgeable staff who are attentive and will suggest dishes if you are unfamiliar with Georgian cuisine. Had the lamb grill which was excellent although the lamb Mtsvadi was a little overdone to my liking. Great portionand the "fingerling potatoes" (French Fries) are plentiful. The fresh breads (especially Lobiani Khachapuri) are great and the stuffed eggplant Pkhali was delicious. Will definitely come again. There are several tables outside on Main St. although it's a little noisy with passing traffic. We enjoyed an introduction to the tasty Georgian cuisine, which left us committed to come back and continue our tasting of their unique dishes. The service was excellent: both patient when it came to explaining various dishes, helpful with making suggestions to clarify and identify our expectations, personal with no hovering or rushing. We ordered three cold served vegan starters, one of their traditional warm served breads with cheese and an egg, plain bread, corn bread, and grilled lamb chunks accompanied by the house hot sauce. All dishes were so good and enjoyed, they left us with the desire to come back and keep exploring more dishes from the menu. (The only less enjoyed item was the corn bread, which was quite heavy and dense). Top amongst the vegan starters was the eggplant and grilled peppers dish. The lamb was most excellent and it came with excellent fries that had dill and other spices. The house hot sauce is very flavorful, and mild on the "hot " scale, it complements the food adding flavorful depth. We sampled dry Georgian white wine by the glass and a dry Georgian red by the glass. Both were most enjoyable. Try their excellent light honey cake for dessert if you'd like to top your meal with a dessert, and experience a Georgian creation. It does not resemble the American or European honey cake... it's much better! You'd probably like to take home a piece or two. read more

I finally visited Badageoni during Mount Kisco Restaurant Week. Wow. This restaurant deserves all of the 5-star reviews. The menu items are unique and absolutely delicious from start to finish. Salads, entrees, dessert... all wonderful. Very fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors. Be sure to try the Adjaruli Khachapuri, which you will see pictured in the many of the photos here. Well, I don't feel very excited with 3 stars here, but this just reflects our experience. First, the wine list is excellent. It comprises of Georgian wines, all excellent, white and red (I'm familiar with most of these wines outside of this restaurant. We started with a few appetizers to share. Soup Kharcho was delicious. Beef Khinkali were also juicy and tasty. Classic Khachapuri was very tasty and nicely presented. I liked the way chicken was cooked in Baji, and walnut sauce was nice and delicate. Lobio was not bad, but it was served with an ultra dry cornbread, which took away from the dish. The main course was the one where problems started. We wanted to order kebab, but were told that it was made with ground meat. So we ordered lamb and pork from the charcoal grill. The lamb came over in form of the chops. 3 pieces to be exact. Tiny amount of well seasoned meat, the rest is long bone and cartilage. Literally no meat could be extracted from it. Pork pieces were almost impossible to cut through. They looked like pieces I typically discard when making a pork dish at home. Another fiasco. We then decided to order the lamb kebab. My expectation of kebab in a restaurant is a meat on a skewer. Here the meat came wrapped in some sort of tortilla, and it had incredibly pronounced lamb taste. This dish was not bad, but it was really hard to get over that taste. The deserts were good again, so we kind of ended the dinner on a happy note. Good friendly service. What a jewel of a restaurant previously unknown to us. Went with friends to usher in the holidays and usher in we did in style! Many items need the patient explanations of the wait staff, after all, what did we know about Georgian food? Not much. Very helpful in guiding our choices. Must get the combo appetizer Pkhali Platter which the four of us shared. Fresh, flavorful and unique flavors enjoyed by all. The grape leaves stuffed with lamb and rice were delicious. We did order the Lobiani which is a round bread stuffed with beans...it is a meal in itself. The Georgian dumplings were large, doughier than anticipated and flavorful. We could have stopped there. Husband and I shared the most tasty lamb stew seasoned with tarragon, scallions and plums. Most plentiful and delicious. Our friends who are watch their gluten ordered the Ojakhuri that they shared. We had leftovers to go. Ordering drinks here is a challenge as the wines are so different but they will bring you a taste to help you decide. A few speciality cocktails but not the usual bar availability. Service couldn't have been more attentive. Wow! Talk about not judging a book by it's cover... We (group of 7) were on our way back to NYC from a Hudson Valley day trip and stumbled across this gem. Pretty unassuming from the curbside view but once the food started arriving we were blown away! Salads with that traditional Georgian walnut dressing all amazing, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Adjaruli Khachapuri (Georgian bread with melted cheese and a poached egg) is a starter you can't skip. We also sampled a bunch of the meat entree options; Chashushuli, a beef stew in a spicy tomato sauce was amazing. Cornish Hen in garlic cream sauce also very good as well as Tabaka, a crispy cooked hen in more of a dry seasoning with herbs. Surprisingly, they also accommodated our finicky kids with very nicely prepared breaded chicken fingers (all white meat breast; no frozen junk) and home cut french fries. I was so happy to finally find a local Georgian place, and Badageoni did not disappoint. First of all the servers were attentive and friendly, offering suggestions and descriptions for food that is not very familiar (or pronounceable) to most people. They recommended a great Georgian wine and even explained how to eat certain dishes. And what amazing dishes they have! The Adjaruli Khachapuri is freshly baked and was devoured in between comments like, "Oh my God that's amazing." We also had the Megruli, which was savory and a bit spicy. The Pkhali rolls were devoured immediately and the Khinkali was delightful. I would recommend the Mini over the normal ones. For main courses, we had Lamb Mtsvadi, Fried Cornish Game Hen (Tabaka), and one of the best dishes anywhere, the Beef Chashushuli. This is a signature Georgian beef stew and must be experienced to believe. Just amazing. The only "problem" I can think of is that we over-ordered, as the portions and generous and filling - though this just led to yummy doggie bags. Overall, I can't say enough about this experience. So glad to have Badageoni nearby. May they stay in Mount Kisco for many years. read more

This is a great place to explore great spice combinations in a restaurant with a cozy and sophisticated ambiance. I think I'll have a better idea of what to order next time. The cheese bread is delicious, but the generous portion of cheese was overwhelming. Two of us were able to eat less than half. Food presentation was great, and the earthenware dishes and little pitchers were perfect. The Georgian wine I tasted was very interesting, reminiscent of Greek wines. We sat for a long time and never felt rushed. The protein part of the meal was the least impressive, and even then, it wasn't a problem because the sauces were so impressive. Still, my salmon was overcooked, even though they asked how I would like it prepared (medium rare) and the beef in the stew was not luscious. But, I'll definitely be back to try more. The food is okay. We had some bread with kidney beans. It was okay. We asked for some sauce on top of it and they charged us without disclosing it initially. Plus they charge a PROCESSING FEE ON THE BILL, which is neither mentioned on the menu or shared in person. The manager lady was unprofessional and dismissive. They took the charge off, but her approach was not kind or respectful. We went for my birthday and not coming again.
