    Cocktails and CORN

Once again, AMAZING! I can't believe this place doesn't have 4.5 stars or better. Drinks are amazing, the homemade corn chips and guac are amazing, everything we had was fantastic! We love Gordito!

This was my second time at Gordito and again it was really nice. The guac is a good amount, free chips and salsa, and the mimosa was definitely not watered down I had avocado toast with fhe potatoes subbed out with corn, definitely recommend. The lady serving us was very kind and funny.

This is the first week of service and the place was very busy during dinner time. A new place offering options of tapa style and the latin fusion is Mexican/Spanish. The bar and seating area are both great options. The cocktail menu did not caught my attention and they also offer a variety of wines (glass/bottle) from Portugal/Spain. I really enjoyed the guacamole and chips, definitely would it love if it wasn't that small and I understand the menu is based in the concept of "tapas". The tortilla española was good, the camarón tacos were my favorite of the whole order. I was disappointed with the tequila tiramisu as I couldn't taste the tequila flavor in this dessert. I would definitely return to check if after a few weeks they adjust more options in response of customers' suggestions. Overall, a very nice place to indulge yourself with friends, family, significant-other (it's pricey but it's expected for the location). A very friendly staff and well-known chef from the restaurant next door (Rafele Rye).

It's awful - it's overpriced and the food is sub par. Rye restaurants are terrible. ASIDE from Oko. Drive fast to Greenwich.

Love the food! Love the service!…read more Ron our waiter was so friendly and accommodating!! The restaurant looks like a beautiful house with an outdoor porch where you have the option to dine on if you'd like. The inside you have a beautiful bar area to the left and a dining area to the right with a fire place giving a comfy upscale feel. The prices are a little on the pricier side so something to note. I recommend the shrimp tacos and Parmesan fries! You have the option to host events there too as I was witness to a couple during my time there. The only con is the parking situation. I've only ever been during the day for lunch and there are never any parking spots. I always spend a good 10-15 minutes circling around for one to open up. They do have a small dedicated lot nearby, but very limited spots and tight area. Plan accordingly.

Nice enough, but nothing particularly memorable or unique. Bathroom: C - The restroom was very hot and had an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a urinal. It could definitely use remodeling and better ventilation. Service: A - Excellent and nearly perfect. The staff was attentive, professional, and one of the highlights of the evening. Food: C - Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. My porterhouse steak was cut very thin and was overcooked. I also did not enjoy the cold potatoes. In addition, the meal should have been served on two plates or with a larger plate, as it was difficult to cut the steak comfortably.

In this situation, strong management is a must in order to bridge the knowledge and experience gap. I arrived to the restaurant with a tinge of sadness because this place is the former Seaside Johnies restaurant run by John Ambrose. John also ran the Tiki bar and he was a long time friend. His sudden passing a few years ago was a shock as he was a great guy and restaurant fixture in Westchester for over 40 years- including the Crab Shanty. The setting at Barley Beach House needs lots of help. The patio can use a solid cleaning and Placemats on the tired tables would be a good start. Luckily the weather was ideal- cool with a nice breeze so our patience was in good supply. It took a very long time for drinks and food to arrive. The table behind us arrived after us and actually finished their meal before we received our entrees. A comp round if drinks was sent over but that was also late. The young server tried but the orders got mixed up by the paper orders going into the kitchen.....Something like that. The food was just ok but if service and timing was better it would have been fine. The Service charge was automatically added for our 6 diners..... Having worked in restaurants as a teenager it was a reminder of what happens when proper management is lacking. A manager never stopped by to apologize or assist. The least you can do is to overstaff seasonal places to assuage your green team. RIP John A.

The happy hour cocktail menu was limited, however we thought we would try something new and ordered one of the featured drinks- but they were out of the ingredients so only one of us was able to enjoy a featured cocktail and I ordered an espresso martini and my daughter ordered a Cosmo. The drinks were delicious, as was the food. We ordered several dishes and enjoyed all of them. The service was terrific as well and for that reason I would certainly recommend stopping in. However, I do feel that $24 for an espresso martini was a bit steep and $8 for 3 wings is NOT normal happy hour pricing. The Philly eggroll was tasty - but it was 1 egg roll for $9. We do enjoy frequenting establishments all over NYC and Westchester and we certainly don't mind paying but I suppose I just would NOT market it as a happy hour. Other than that thought- we enjoyed the ambiance and the staff was great.

We never had an empty water glass, dirty plates were whisked away immediately, craft cocktails and food brought out on a perfectly timed schedule. The drinks were great, the food was killer, and I kinda wish we were in town longer to try more of it!
