I had an amazing experience at Ruby's, especially with our server Daniel. He attended all of my family's needs within an instant and treated us well. He recommended us drinks and food and had amazing recommendations! Our apps and dinner courses came out fast and were super delicious (especially the Blackened Shrimp). I 100% will be visiting Rubys again for the delicious food and amazing service provided by Daniel.

I was gifted gift cards to this restaurant and it was delicious. The restaurant was pretty busy so you definitely want to make a reservation. We made a reservation and we were seated in the back room which was a little loud because the back room is a little bit smaller, but it was OK. The service was really quick and the food was delicious and cooked exactly how we wanted it. We ordered filet mignon with french fries and then also one of the filet mignon specials. We also got a dozen oysters, peppers and crabcakes. The crabcakes were absolutely delicious. I would 100% recommend getting those.

My husband said it best - "I never want to be within 100 miles of Ruby's and NOT get to eat there!" This was his 2nd trip and probably 5th or 6th for me. They have a great cocktail menu and we got the ball rolling with some lovely libations. We love oysters, and Ruby's does not disappoint. We got 2 of each of the day's selections, in order to narrow down our favorites and take a deeper dive into a couple with a second dozen. I have developed a go-to order here, though I flirt with the idea of the fresh specials, it's almost always shishito peppers and steak frites (hanger steak) for me. Hubby enjoyed an order of escargot in addition to his steak frites. Brought back a care package of steak as we were full... alas, no room for dessert. We love the ambiance, it reminds us of our time living in Belgium and frequenting the brasseries there. Side note: I left my credit card and did not realize it. Before I ever noticed, the restaurant contacted me. Unfortunately we had already entered the Capitol Theater for a show and could not leave to retrieve, and were returning to PA after the concert. The manager graciously offered to mail my card, and it arrived expeditiously in our mailbox. Great service!

Met my friends here for lunch. What a cute little bistro middle of town in Rye. You think your on the water when your inside. Greeted by Joe the waiter very warmly and he knows the menu inside and out Started with lobster wontons. Omg so crunchy outside with warm tender lobster with a creamy creme fraiche My Buddy had dozen assorted oysters which he said were wonderful all had different flavors. I had a warm lobster roll with fries. Lobster was cooked perfect and so tender. But lacked in flavor was very bland but u can tell great ingredients. Fries where great but seemed to be small parts of the bottom of the batch. . Wife had a blackened grouper sandwich. Fresh fish but not much flavor and wasn't blackened. Same with the fries Friend had Cobb salad with shrimp. She loves it shrimp so huge and tender Parking is tough but available . Def a place want to come back to really cute inside and good quality food.

I received a gift card to this restaurant and decided to give it a try! The interior is so cute it feels as if you are in a French bistro! Very clean and spacious. They also have an upstairs area that is quiet and more intimate. Service was a little bit slow, however our server was very kind which made up for it. The food was great!! The oysters were delicious and I highly recommend the shishito peppers! I enjoyed the steak frites, and they cooked my steak perfectly! We all had a very delightful dinner and would come back!!!

Went with some friends. We dined outdoors, because it was a beautiful night! Service was excellent! Food came out very quickly. We had a double tier, filled with lots of goodies!! Lobster, seafood salad, clams, oysters and shrimp!! We then ordered a dozen of oysters, general Tso's cauliflower, mussels with fries, and a salad w mozzarella! Everything was really great!

The atmosphere is classic French bistro meets upscale neighborhood gem. It was a busy brunch and they kept great service times.

Very average food. I had fried oysters, they lacked flavor and seasoning. Average at best. And it is not inexpensive.

We arrived and didn't know we could sit anywhere, I guess they noticed and with a friendly attitude let us know. The patrons, specially at the bar, were having a great time. Grateful for the fantastic weather we're able to sit outside and we had a great time as well. The server was a doll, taking care of the inside and outside. The food was delicious, we all agreed that the chicken quesadilla was one of the best we've ever had. My friends had a burger and fish and chips, we shared a home made brownie à la mode. I recommend Kelly's hand down. Cheers

Its been around since the mid 70's. Not too long ago I ran a half marathon up in Rye along with a friend of mine running in her 100th half. She had a post race celebration party here which was catered and on their back patio. Nicely done, the food was tasty and the beer nice and cold. It's a true locals spot that those in the neighborhood patronize as while there I saw a bunch of them getting their day drinking on during early afternoon. It's an old school working mans bar with a bit of a worn look but in a good way.

My dad thought nothing of it. Went and walked across the street didn't even get all the way across when he was stopped and by them and asked how much change he received back. My dad pulled the $3 out of his pocket and said $3 which were in front of a $20 bill. The guy said no I gave you that $20 as he reached to try to grab it out of his hand, my dad pulled back and said no technically you owe me $10 in which the guy had a $10 bill in his hand so he knew that he scammed him for $10 and gave the incorrect change.. the guy the. Proceeded to then "ban him" from coming back in even though it was HIS fault, and HE gave back the wrong amount of change instead of taking accountability for his mistake. In this situation, strong management is a must in order to bridge the knowledge and experience gap. I arrived to the restaurant with a tinge of sadness because this place is the former Seaside Johnies restaurant run by John Ambrose. John also ran the Tiki bar and he was a long time friend. His sudden passing a few years ago was a shock as he was a great guy and restaurant fixture in Westchester for over 40 years- including the Crab Shanty. The setting at Barley Beach House needs lots of help. The patio can use a solid cleaning and Placemats on the tired tables would be a good start. Luckily the weather was ideal- cool with a nice breeze so our patience was in good supply. It took a very long time for drinks and food to arrive. The table behind us arrived after us and actually finished their meal before we received our entrees. A comp round if drinks was sent over but that was also late. The young server tried but the orders got mixed up by the paper orders going into the kitchen.....Something like that. The food was just ok but if service and timing was better it would have been fine. The Service charge was automatically added for our 6 diners..... Having worked in restaurants as a teenager it was a reminder of what happens when proper management is lacking. A manager never stopped by to apologize or assist. The least you can do is to overstaff seasonal places to assuage your green team. RIP John A.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.
