I like this place a lot. I was in town visiting and taking care of biz and this bar was pretty close to where I was staying. After a couple of visits, the bartender knew what I drank and my name. Growing up in Harrison, you would think that this place would wear out it's welcome in the "bar" world...but SURPRISE! Two things this place is known for 1) Wings 2) Beer selections....and wait, CHARLENE. (that's 3!) This local restaurant and bar is haunted by many locals and out of towners alike. It's Cheers minus Norm. The menu has plenty of items to choose. My favorites are famous wings, massive burgers, and French Onion soup. (who knew that a car can make delicious french Onion soup in an actual crock pot?). There is a dining area should you decide to eat a proper meal. The place has an outdoor patio that is perfect during summer months. A pool, a dart board, and a tremendous vodka selection in case you want to bring out your "inner" Jocky Wilson. (Bless his soul!) Great food, service and value. pub style done right! Great standards, wings and burgers. Varied menu of suprisingly authentic and tasty italian pasta and sauces (served w garlic bread and salad included in price of dish :-). Seafood as good as you'd expect from City Island. Hand breaded juicy fried shrimp my favorite! Also don't sleep on the baked clams-what a delicious surprise! I have gone out of my comfort zone and ordered new items. Every single time my choice turn out to be fantastic! Just when I thought I found my favorite item-it changes. To work it off, scream at you favorite team playing or hit one of the video games; golf, dear hunter, trivia, or pool table. This is my official watering hole. You can end up at Uncle Henry's for wings, beer or just a good five dollar bill in the jukebox. It's situated conveniently across from the train station, which is ideal, especially for those really late nights when you need some good eats. The kitchen is open until 4 am. I recommend: the Veggie burger. It's all fresh chopped vegetables made into a patty and then pan fried. It comes with a fresh green salad or your choice of waffle fries, sweet potato fries or steak fries. I'm also a big fan of the Baked Clams. I have the tendency to be really picky about baked clams, and these are fantastic. Their wings are known all around as being the best, so don't forget to give those a shot as well! This is like the only bar in town, there are maybe two others in a close vicinity but just not worth it. The kitchen is open way late, and the food is decent for bar food. It's actually a little bigger menu than just bar food. I definitely recommend the sweet potato fries. It's kind of a townie bar, but that is also kind of what makes it awesome. read more

Was in town for a brief stay to visit a sick relative....met up with some old friends and were frantically looking for a place to grab a bite and have a few cocktails. One of our group mentioned uncle Henrys and as we were already on boston post road, we figured we would give it a try. Let me tell you... BEST CHOICE EVER. Their amazing "should be world famous" baked clams are incredibly delicious with layers of flavor and the perfectly cooked texture you look for in a proper baked clam. The calamari was cooked to perfection...the breading was equal throughout with no clumpy spots and perfectly crisp with tender flesh and perfect tentacle definition. Someone obviously cared about the finished product and quality. As a chef, I fully respect the attention to detail and care for quality that was demonstrated in the food. The wings were nice and moist with the crispy golden-brown coloring one SHOULD expect in a quality chicken wing...the sauces could use some refining of flavor profile as some seem a little "all over the place" with questionable taste combinations...EXCEPT for the HOT or MILD bushwhacker sauce. This sauce is no joke and I highly recommend stopping here before any group watched televised sport events. If you plan on having a bunch of people over for fight night...be sure to grab at least a dozen per guest as they are addictive...a must try for Westchester for CERTAIN. read more

Uncle Henry's is the best sports bar in Westchester with 30+ TVs and the major sports packages. They make the best food of any sports bar in Westchester with amazing burgers, wings, pasta, steak, ribs, and more. Both statements are unequivocally true, but that is not why it is one of my favor places to hang out. The management Vinnie King, Rosanne King, and Charlene are some of the best people I have known and make me feel like family everytime I visit. Uncle Henry's is a beautiful bar, and although he won't say it out loud, a labor of love for Vinnie. The place is the epitome and all the best things of a neighborhood bard. Uncle Henry's is a good place to watch a game and has decent bar food. My primary complaint has to do with one thing that happened a couple of weeks ago when I came in to watch the NFL playoffs. I spent most of the afternoon there and ordered around $60 of food and drinks. I settled my tab and paid with my credit card. I started talking with someone there and decided to order another drink. It was less than their apparent credit card minimum of $10. I was told that I had to go use their ATM to get cash with the fees or order more to meet the minimum. I completely get how some establishments have credit card minimums. But it was not like I hadn't already spent what I considered to be a sizeable tab for one person. And just because I decided to buy one more drink, I feel that it was completely unreasonable and a way to make more money from their ATM by forcing me to use it to pay for one lousy drink. I hope that they will reconsider how they treat their patrons in this regard. read more

While on a road trip from Va to RI we stopped to look for a good lunch place. When we came into Uncle Henry's it was a bit dark and the place was mostly empty and I was a bit worried. Once we sat down though the server was very attentive and kind. Over hearing the conversations of the few people that were there it was clear that this was a place for regulars to come and be known by staff and watch the games while enjoying a beer or two. The conversations were very entertaining. What really topped it off though was the quality of the food. I had the train station sand which with grilled veggies. The veggies were perfect, the chicken was amazing, the bacon was superb, and the Russian dressing was a great sauce for the sand which. It doesn't look like much, but definitely a favorite spot. Great food, good beer and drink selection, always tons of sports on TV and fun atmosphere. Really fun, especially during football season or for big games. Quickdraw, pool table, good music... It's very inexpensive and never disappointing. It seems to be a lot of the same usuals and a bit of a townie bar, but very relaxing spot with good happy hour specials and game day specials. Wow. Horrible experience. We came here because they have food later than most Harrison restaurants. We ordered a pitcher of beer, which they didn't fill up. We got less than four glasses. We asked our server, who was friendly, to let the bartender know, and he refused to do anything about it. Blamed us actually. The food came out slightly cold on top of it. Fortunately, our server was so nice that we didn't want to hurt her tip, so we paid and left. The environment was seedy, the food was average, and the bar was horrible. Who cares if they have food late if the service is horrible? All we wanted was a pitcher of beer and a decent burger. What we got was 3/4 a pitcher and two cold burgers and the staff refusing to make it right. I'll take my business elsewhere. By the way, there are a lot of great places to go within walking distance who will go out of their way to make you happy. Skip Uncle Henry's if you know what's good for you. read more
