    fried pickles

Better experience this time overall! The Shirley temple was balanced still! Fried pickles still my favorite thing, the cornbread was less dry. The cinnamon butter is fire. The brussel sprouts were cooked really well, tender but not burnt but I didn't like the mustard pairing. I think they need something a bit sweeter like a maple glaze or something of the like. The pulled pork sliders were good especially with the addition of the caramelized onions. They had a different sauce than I was used to, not necessarily your standard barbeque sauce but I was okay with it. The mac and cheese was way better this time too, more creamy and I really liked the taste. Turns out getting the pulled pork and mac and cheese separately from each other is better lol.

The fried chicken is IT!! Crispy, flavorful, tender and juicy!! I'll go back for the fried chicken again and again. The cornmeal coated fish and chips were also very yummy. The fried foods did not feel or taste greasy. How??? We also had the mussels in red sauce...the sauce was rich and smoky; really good!! Our server was super friendly, warm, and attentive. We will be going back for sure!

It's been a long time since we've been here. Being as we live in CT it can be a pain to drive to, but it's worth it. The portions are always large and fresh!! The gator nuggets, either fried or blackened always hit the spot! Now I don't know if the fried pickles are a new addition, but I'm totally here for them! Thanks for the service and pleasantness

Went for a late lunch. The location is off the main roads so it's secluded. There was street parking. The ambiance was warm and inviting. We were greeted and seated quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive. The catfish Po'Boy I ordered was seasoned and cooked well. The steamed mussels in red sauce is a must order if you come here. On my next visit, I will be looking forward to the jambalaya. Highly recommended with two thumbs up!

Ok experience at Rye Roadhouse. Starting my with the good, the atmosphere is fun, lively and unique. Not your average Westchester joint -- more cozy, Irish/old-school barry feel that will make you feel you're much further away from NYC than you actually are. Service was fine, but nothing to write a yelp review about. The food was the disappointing part. We ordered a steak sandwich and blackened mahi mahi, each with sides of sweet potato fries and a garden salad. Steak sandwich was good, but the fish's seasoning was overpowering and the fries lacked crispness and flavor. Hope my next visit is more successful.

I would say that this establishment was ok to good. It had a very cool 1800s pub feel to it. The lighting was ok and the chairs were hard without cushions and it might be fine for some and a little tough on the back for others. The acoustics were ok, albeit worse than I expected given the number of people and the comfy feel. Our waitress was attentive to some extent. Maybe fair to good. I'm The nachos were generously sized looked magnificent with plentiful and well proportioned ingredients. I think they could have used more of a kick and a little more bite since they were a bit bland. Maybe some pepper Jack or other cheese or some drizzled barbecue sauce might have helped too. I'd definitely give them another chance. The wings were ok. They were incomparable to places that are famous for their wings like Candlelight Inn or Sherwoods. Maybe they didn't need the breading? They were a little mushy and tasted just fine and were fair to good but not great. As the English would say, quite good. The ribs seemed as though they were cooked and cut into their individual pieces and then recooked. Not fried but maybe they were put under the salamander? They were slightly crisp which is not to mean they were not tasty-- they were good, perhaps due to the slight crisp and the BBQ sauce that worked well. We asked a diner at another table who said the fried chicken was delicious. Service 3.5 Food 3.5 Ambiance 3 Overall score 3.33 I'll come back and I think there is a chance they could hit a 4. This time closer to 3 than a 4 tjo

We were excited to find this gem after we visited a local walking trail. The food was delicious and the service although a little slow taking our order was great after that. The cornbread and cinnamon butter was wonderful surprise. I ordered the portobello sliders and my husband ordered the shrimp pi boy with sweet potato fries! Both were delicious. We would definitely come back!

Chicken fried steak - not on the normal menu. This is an occasional weekend special but I think it should be a regular item!

Just saw this on my way back from CT - is it easy to navigate to from the train?

I wouldn't try to walk there from train station but all the local taxis know how to get there. Enjoy!

We found street parking since we came in around 6p. The restaurant was fairly empty but it filled up midway through our dinner. It's lively and nicely decorated. We ordered drinks first, and the cocktail menu had some nice options. Too sweet for my taste so I ordered wine. Simple collection to choose from. Then we had the lamb meatballs. They were very good, especially with the sauce. Not gamey. The fried artichoke was definitely a hit with the dipping sauce. Some of the pieces were a little too dry and I didn't taste much artichoke overall. The roasted romaine was a nice take an a Caesar salad. Grilled asparagus is self explanatory. The pizza was really good but I avoid gluten now so I only had 2 bites; husband loved it. I had the scallops which were too rubbery for my taste. I was hungry so I finished the whole plate after another round of drinks. The staff was attentive and professional. There were smiles at our arrival as well as departure. We were very happy with the experience here. We will come again!!

Service was also very attentive. For cocktails, I had the white sangria and my husband had the berry mojito. Both drinks were refreshing and well balanced, too pretty to drink! For tapas, we shared empanadas (angus beef, shrimp & chorizo, organic chicken), a tale of two countries (burrata, eggplant agrodolce, serrano ham) and land & sea (NY strip & sea scallops). We loved them all, so delicious and flavorful. For our entrees, we had the churrasco (char-grilled black angus skirt steak) and pollo gitano (organic chicken thighs, sweet sausage, hot cherry peppers). Also very good and beautifully presented, the pollo gitano had a little kick to it. For dessert, we had the churros con chocolate and flan, very tasty and perfect to end our dinner. We ordered a variety of tapas and everything hit: the empanadas (chicken, shrimp & sausage, beef) were crispy and flavorful, the crispy manchego was rich and indulgent, the pulpo a la sevillana was tender and well-seasoned, and the shrimp pinchitos were perfectly grilled. Finished with the flan, which was smooth, creamy, and the perfect ending. Great food, great vibe, and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!
