This place is so popular!! It was packed on a Saturday night!! You could hear the chatter and music walking towards it. We barely squeezed inside due to several people waiting at the entrance for a table. Lucky for us, my husband made reservations, or so he thought! Our reservation could not be found. Why? Because my husband made it for the night before, not tonight!! I thought we would have to wait hours and I was so hungry. Lucky for us, the hostess got us a table within 5 minutes due to our small party size. She was great to accommodate us like that. We were seated in the area that looks like it's outdoor seating during the warmer months. The sound does not carry well in that area. Although we were seated across from each other, it was difficult to have a conversation. The service was attentive and timely but the staff were definitely busy! The food was good. I liked the Greek salad but it had too much tang to the dressing. It was overpowering. The fish tacos were good. The kebabs were a little tough but tasty. The dipping sauce helped. We had some drinks too. They had some unique cocktails that my husband enjoyed. It's a great place to go for vibes. Very loud. Food is good. Not sure if I would go again. My friend and I had reservations for two at 6:30 for which we were seated right away. The decor is lovely and the crowd is lively. We unfortunately were seated in the bar area having a very small table not sufficient for dinner service. The bar was packed with people as they repeatedly bumped into our chair and table - at one point a lady's rear end was almost on our table - see picture. The tables are placed too close together as the waiters tried their best to squeeze in. With that said the waiters were amazing - we were greeted promptly, drink and food delivered quickly and fresh and delicious. First off, let me say the ambience and decor is amazing. It's got kind of a gatsby meets gilded age vibe and was beautiful. Tons of different seating options. There was the bar, inside, the patio which was able to be fully covered (and was about halfway through our meal) and there were even tables on the lawn area. Overall, if I was coming again for a cocktail or just a glass of wine and maybe an app, I would come back for the atmosphere. I really wanted to like this place and while the food was perfectly okay, it was just that. The service was also good. No complaints for the service. The staff was perfectly nice. We went for a very early dinner due to our schedule which meant that most of the tables were empty (which totally made sense). We were offered to sit inside or outside and chose outside. When we went to the patio, I thought it was a little weird that they sat us a table right up against the wall and didn't offer us a choice of table. Notably, only a few tables on the patio are set for 2, many against the outside wall are set for 3 (although I think it would be a bit small for 3 people). But given how early we were there, it seemed odd they didn't offer our choice of table and let us sit at a table set for 3. To be fair, we didn't ask to change tables, but it seemed an odd seating choice. To the food, as I said above, everything was fine. We got the mezze appetizer (3 dips of our choice) and the crispy shrimp wraps. The dips were fine. The fava bean dip had maybe a little too much dill (it overpowered the taste of the fava bean). The bread they brought with it was very reminiscent of a large Kaiser roll. It wasn't really enough for a dip, and the waiter offered if we wanted to order another one, but we didn't really feel like it was good enough to pay for more of it. The crispy shrimp appetizer tasted good, but needed to be a little crunchier. For meals we got the chicken kebab and the manti with sides of French fries and grilled halloumi. The chicken kebab skewer was sizeable and the char was nice, but the chicken and vegetables weren't particularly interesting. The manti was a little bland, but fine. The fries definitely had that "came frozen in a bag and dropped in a fryer" taste to them, which is perfectly fine, but not what you'd expect for the price point. The grilled halloumi was delicious, but nothing above and beyond. We passed on dessert. As an additional note, the drinks were a little expensive. I got a beer for $12 because none of the wines were singing to me and were all $18-$24 (or maybe a little bit more) by the glass and I wasn't in the mood for a cocktail. My partner got a Diet Coke, which was probably the most shocking part of the meal. The Diet Coke was one of those small glass bottles and cost a whopping $8. For what ended up being a $200 meal (after tip), was the Diet Coke the biggest expense or did it make a difference? No. But that price for a single Diet Coke is unconscionable, regardless of where I'm eating. So overall verdict? Would come back for (expensive) cocktails if I wanted the upscale vibe. The bar was clearly the focal point (when we left the bar was truly crowded), which makes me surprised it isn't a big area of the restaurant. Service was nice enough. The food was fine, but honestly not special enough to be worth the price point. read more

The bar staff is very attentive and know how to make a cocktail. The food is Mediterranean and very good. My wife also loves this place. I wanted to like the place, but it's not for me and I won't go back. Sure, the place has a nice ambience. The restaurant looks great and they also have plenty of outdoor seating, which is a nice perk. But, truth be told, they have no idea what they're doing. Maybe it's because they're new to the area, although this is not a new restaurant, they have other locations. Our waiter or the kitchen, someone supposedly lost our order, so we ended up waiting 1.5 hours for food. Granted, it wasn't the smartest for us to stay, but we wanted our dinner. My mother-in-law and I didn't like our chicken shish kebab or the chicken Adana. We wanted much more flavor. After waiting for so long, the food was a major let down. But, my wife and sister-in-law appreciated the Adana kebab more so. Oh and the borek appetizer, wasn't bad. Nevertheless, we wouldn't go back. The portion sizes aren't great, the food is average and the service is awful. The waiters were just hanging out chatting amongst themselves while we waited, and waited, and waited. First visit ever to Antique Garage in Rye. This restaurant is without question beautiful in design and decor with inside and outdoor space ideal for the Summer crowd. There is extra space for drinks in the back of the restaurant on Adirondack chairs. The hostesses are wonderful- warm and charming as you enter the restaurant and they were accommodating in selecting a table. A great smile goes a long way in this day and age of at times indifferent service. The food quality is good but perhaps not great. The starters were fine but not particularly special or memorable. The Entrees were better, especially the whole Branzini and sides are extra ($12 for fries but they were very good). The crowd is very stylish and upscale- without question the Westchester country club set. Prices are very high for all courses with $40 entrees the norm. $42 for lamb kebab. $42 for Branzini. Martinis are $24. Service from the wait staff was what I would call a bit gruff. They seem to be in it for the payday as opposed to really relishing and delivering service & hospitality. The bartenders also seem to want to be on the other side of the bar. The music selection is very good as it sets the mood for a festive evening. My wife really loves this experience as it's upscale & even glitzy. Me, much less so. Perhaps it will become more of a girls night out place with more style than substance the norm. read more

I really never write reviews but felt compelled to after last night. One thing to preface...the food was good, no issues there. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Now, the service. Where to begin.... First, we had a 7:30 reservation that I made a month ago for 8 people. Upon entry they said the table was delayed...fine, no big deal. Then they said they gave the table away because some older people didn't like the noise inside. Would have been nice to be asked before giving away the table. Even then we did not make a big deal. When we sit down and order drinks, they don't come for over 20 minutes. When we asked the waiter he said "that's not too long, 20 minutes for drinks is normal!" Seriously? When we ordered a bottle of wine? He just fills all our glasses to empty the bottle, he clearly didn't feel like refilling it for us...as in...actual service so our wine stays cold. Overall, sadly I don't think I'll be returning as the service was so bad that the positive food does not outweigh the negative service. read more

Went here to celebrate our 9th anniversary. We first had a cocktail at the bar, which is well stocked and beautiful. Drinks were reasonable and we received nice pours. Dinner service at our table was fantastic. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The mezzw trio, with hummus, baba ganoush and tzatziki was great. And the light and fluffy pita was the best I've ever had! Sea bream crudo appetizer was enough for an entree, and was perfect. Entrees of grilled salmon and chicken kabob were large and cooked to perfection. This is definitely a go to place. The only drawback is that it's very loud, but in the summer with the extension open, it's likely not as noisy. read more

Loved this restaurant from the minute I set foot in it. The space is open, inviting and I'm in love with the decor and vintage furniture. My son and family were stuck in traffic and all the staff were extremely accommodating and understanding. Everything we ate was bursting with flavor, the children were famished when they arrived and completely satisfied when we left, including the adults. Id suggest skipping this place and driving 10 mins up to Mediterraneo in Greenwich, ct. We arrived and had a reservation and the restaurant was empty except for one party and we were seated in the very back across from the back door where they kept opening to take out the trash, near the bathroom. The restaurant was totally empty and I could probably count at least 10 empty spaces for two. We asked to move and they gave us an issue even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Very rude hostess and owner but wait staff was wonderful. Overheard hostess rush everyone seated near us and said that they needed their table soon so they better order quick. Food was mediocre, soggy and tough tasted like they heated it up from a freezer. Everything is way better and fresh at Mediteraneo in Greenwich! This place is beautiful. The service was attentive. Food was tasty. But the prices compared to the portions were offensive. Ordered the Tirokafteri( small portion of spicy feta dip, priced at $12. It was placed on our table with a basket containing 2 warm rolls. ( The dip was so small we only used 1 of the rolls) When we got the check we were charged $2 for the rolls that we did not order/ask for, just assumed it came with the dip.
