What a wonderful discovery! My husband and I were driving back from car shopping and we were both hungry because we hadn't eaten all day, so I typed in "Steak" on Yelp and up popped Stone House Grill. I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. Very loud. No noise barriers. They said they couldn't give me fries instead of mashed potatoes, and then she decided she could, and there was about ten fries. My chicken cutlet was not that good.Loaded with sauce hardly any meat. We went for lunch and I did not see anything special about this restaurant.And when it came to paying, they charge over three percent to use your credit card.And when I asked about it, she said every one does that, and I said, no, they don't. I deducted the three percent from the tip which I left in cash. I eat out at least 4 nights a week. And none of the restaurants I go to charge to use your credit card and I don't go to the ones that do. I won't be going back. read more

Great Steakhouse . If you're looking for a a real steakhouse in the area this is the spot . My wife and I went for the first time . It's was my birthday dinner and wanted a good Good steak . My wife and I have been there a good number of times. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is excellent and the food is great. Honestly it my favorite place to eat. My wife and always like to go out on Friday night to cap off the week. Stone House is in heavy rotation and when friends visit, I fully intend to take them there. The steaks are excellent and the prices for the quality you receive is more than fair. The thing that really impressed me was that I had their house burger and honestly it is the best burger I have ever had REALLY! I am not kidding. I went there Saturday night with my better half. Heads up if you go..... once there parking lot is full you'll want to park in the lot across the street..... don't do it....you might get towed! Park around back. With parking out of the way.... We shared a bone in rib eye... very good, Sides are separate .... I had the house salad....we shared the grilled octopus appetizer I had an espresso martini... strong!!!!! We went with another couple from the area. They didn't even know there was a restaurant. We went in and was welcomed immediately. Service was warm and friendly. We had the seafood pasta in white and red sauce which was both excellent. The salad was fresh and crispy. Chicken scarapiello was also excellent. Beer choice was standard. People working friendly and it was very busy. We were directed not to park in one lot nearby and told where to park. Others had great meal and portions were good. My tuna meal was good , it was just small. The seat up front is behind a shelving unit or something . What a magnificent restaurant! Everyone is so welcoming. The first time I discovered this place was when my friend invited for dinner one night. The service is impeccable, the staff is always paying attention and asking if everything is all good. The food is delicious, and the drinks are the best! Lenny is so nice and hospitable, and is honestly the best! The ambiance of the restaurant is so warm and inviting, you instantly feel at home there! Service was excellent. Desert tiaramisu was outstanding. The Margarita was bland. The beer list was simple, don't expect any craft beer here. The Caesar salad was very good. My NY strip was a good piece of meat, it was cooked under the salamander and served on a sizzling cast iron skillet right from the grill. Not rested at all and continued to cook at the table. It started out as a perfect medium rare but after a few minutes at the table it was medium. I think the skillet is nice drama at TGI Fridays but not for a $46 steak. Baked potato was flavorful but hard, not thoroughly cooked. They comped a dessert which was delicious. There's definitely potential but some work is needed at these prices. Don't be put off by the exterior. Inside is a comfortable place with very friendly staff. Food was excellent. Good selection of appetizers and entrees. Everything was delicious. At the end of the meal, we were given small glasses of aperitifs. Definitely will be going again. read more

We came on 28 September 2024 after going to fish kill farm to pick apples and Baldwin place farm for the blueberry pie. We ordered the seared ahi tuna, bone in ribeye medium and grilled branzino. My husband took me for a special birthday dinner. We went on Friday at 7pm - had a reservation. The dining room had several large parties and was bustling. The servers were attentive and very friendly (may have been owners) I ordered the elderflower cosmo (wasn't a fan- they changed it for a yummy cab). My husband had an old fashioned and wasn't impressed. Tuna tartare was amazing! I had the grouper- it was strange with a red sauce- it was good just not something I'd order again- I like grilled blackened grouper. My husband had steak and was in heaven. Excellent steaks, and the service is fantastic. The mash potatoes may be a little dry, but the creamed spinach has a wonderful flavor.

Very solid. Great food and friendly servers, who could be a little better trained. That being the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.
