The lighting was warm without being harsh, and there was plenty of space between the tables, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing. I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I left the restaurant feeling immensely bloated, as if the food was just sitting like lead in my stomach. Shortly after feeling genuinely sick. It is clear that either the ingredients were not fresh or the kitchen hygiene is seriously lacking. I will never step foot in this place again.

But it was a good meal. The Cottage Pie was pretty good..again, I prefer the classics so I would rather a Shepherd's Pie ( with seasoned ground lamb and not beer ), but it was still a nice comfort meal. The decor is cute..I miss the dim light and warm / dark woods and colors that you expect in an Irish pub. I met the owner on the first visit and she is very nice and I wish her great luck..but the kids who work there have very little passion or personality unfortunately. This really is a nice little place and I hope it succeeds..but it has a few up hill issues..first is its smack in the center of many already establishment great restaurants the other big one is this: 75% of people who live up here moved from Southern Westchester or the Bronx..what does that mean? ..it means we all grew up on Rorys!!! And that is what we are seeking up here. Anyway, nice little place for a comfort meal if you are tired of Good Chinese or Italian. Enjoy!

I'm glad I glowed up for the occasion. Service was phenomenal. Can't say enough. From the hostess (her first day-nice job!!) to our server, bartender and busser. Owner came over a few times to chat. Food. Omg just look at the pics. Delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, lamb was a tad overcooked but that was my friends' bad for asking for it medium. My salmon--perfection. I like my salmon on the medium-rare side wowsa. Loves every bite (and I do mean every bite 'cause I ate it all). Did I mention the creamed spinach? Best I have ever had. Anywhere. A smidge salty but still had to order a separate side of it as my friend was not sharing hers I nearly forgot the candied bacon. Enough said. Because it was, you guessed it, amazing. Hats off to the chef!! Drinks-my tolerance for a poorly made margarita is zero and the bartender, again-amazing. One of the best margaritas I have had in a restaurant. Cucumber martini, delicious. Only comment is that the bourbon was not cold enough. Then a bottle of Decoy, it was their 'house' wine-say what? You mean the house wine wasn't some obscure wine drastically over-priced? No Virginia, it was not. Dessert-tiramisu out of this world. The Italian ricotta was a little salty. Highly recommend. Make a reservation though.

For my meal, I ordered the Burrata Crunch Melt, and it was excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted--soft on the inside while still delivering an amazing crunch on the outside. Every bite was delicious. The weather was beautiful, so we chose to sit outside. The staff went above and beyond by putting up extra umbrellas to make sure our group was comfortable. Our server was a young woman who was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her warm and welcoming attitude. Between the delicious food, great service, and lovely outdoor atmosphere, Barnwood Grill was a highlight of our day. I would absolutely return if I'm ever in the area again! I am definitely interested in trying a cocktail.

Exceptional Experience for our Party of 17!…read more We celebrated my grandfather's 100th birthday at Barnwood Grill tonight and they absolutely blew us away. This was my third visit, and once again the service, food, and hospitality were top-notch. We called earlier asking if they could handle our party of 17, specifically wanting to know if they could accommodate separate checks and if we could bring our own cake. The manager couldn't have been kinder and said it was no problem at all for the separate checks, we just had to sit together by family/check. As far as the cake they normally charge a slicing fee, which is two dollars per slice, but if we ordered three or more desserts, there would be no fee! That alone set the tone for an amazing night. We sat in the back party room, and the service was incredibly efficient for such a large group. Every request was handled quickly and accurately. Food highlights: * My aunt, another avid Elite Yelper and rather tough food critic, loved everything she ordered! The calamari, her entrée, the house salad, and the cookie lava cake. * My son devoured his Buffalo Wings appetizer and kids chicken fingers (his go-to bc he has a palate of an elementary school kid). * My dad and my 100-year-old grandfather both ordered the Osso Buco and absolutely loved it. * My mom enjoyed her Madeira chicken, my husband loved his chicken burrata, and my salmon was perfect. * My picky teen got a custom classic cheeseburger exactly how she wanted it. * Desserts - the mixed berry flute and 2 molten chocolate chip cookies were a big hit! They even worked with us on the birthday cake so we didn't get charged a slicing fee. Barnwood Grill exceeded every expectation. Fantastic food, amazing service, and flawless accommodations for a big, particular crowd. We'll definitely be back! Thank You for making my grandfather's 100th birthday such a memorable celebration.
