    Live Music almost every day

Whether it's in the morning or later in the afternoon, this place caters to your dining needs. It's got a great coffee bar as well as a regular bar. And if you're there later in the afternoon, they'll always have a live band playing. My kinda place in quiet Maui.

IMHO This was our first meal in Maui, having always wanted to visit Java Jazz, but never had the time until this trip! Java Jazz is whimsical and eclectic, to say the least. Just walk into this establishment, and you'll understand what I'm saying. Live music was playing and we had our choice of tables. We weren't really hungry but ordered a coconut shrimp appetizer and a cocktail and beer. Shrimp was good but not great. I wasn't sure if the shrimp was fully cooked, but I ate it anyway. Music was fantastic!

I wanted another breakfast place to go to that we haven't been to. I searched the reviews and picked this place. Not sure I did a good job. The place is up North from my resort and only a 5 minute ride, so it was close by. The reviews were just ok but I tried it. We got there and found a parking spot close to the restaurant. When we went it it was pretty packed. all tourist . I looked around but didn't see any seats. My wife and I went back to the front and a waiter said it would be a second, then directed us to a table all the way to the back of the place. Luckily the guy behind the bar said he got us. Otherwise I didn't think we would have gotten any service for a while. The place was packed full of weird stuff for decorations. The walls were written on by previous customers. It was a sight to see. Not sure it helped in know if the food would be good our not. It look Peruvian maybe. The guy looked possibly that or middle eastern? not sure. He brought us some menus and asked if we wanted coffee. I told him just water. I decided to go with eggs benedict to be safe. The wife decided on an omelet. The service was really slow and you could see people were already finished eating and wanted to pay but didn't have their bill. The place was full. We learned later that only two people were working today and the old man apologized for the slow service. My benedict wasn't too bad. The flavor was ok . My wife's omelet was a miss. It was lunch meat and canned pineapple and she said it was horrible. Oh well not a good pick. It seemed like a tourist trap especially the prices were crazy for the low quality food. We have eaten all over the island and had great food at way better prices no need to gouge on prices. We won't be back

everything is great here.. the staff, the decor, the food, the drinks, the live music... I could go on and on. But you MUST add a tiramisu to your order. It is truly THE BEST. It is made fresh by Nader himself and by far the best tiramisu I've ever tried.

Hello Fellow Yelpers We found this place by accident, which was great for us. Had dinner , I had the chef salad with a delicious vinaigrette and my sister had shrimp scampi. Both were very tasty. The best part of the night was the awesome waitress Samantha and the live music singer Chris Magee. We found out they also serve breakfast and we can back in the morning for this. We are coming back tonight to hear the live music again. I highly recommend you try this little hole in the wall restaurant/bar quirky place Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful Happy Yelping, please follow me for more awesome reviews

The decor of this place was unique. It's an old bar with fancy decorations, and dark art stuff. Not sure how to explain it, but some of the things didn't go. The place looked like it needed some care and updates. There were two servers, when we walked in. One told us to wait and the other told us to sit anywhere. We just decided to sit. It took them awhile to come by. But we finally put our order in. I ordered the Hawaiian omelette. It was awful. The omelette was very over cooked and they used thinly, sliced lunch meat for their ham and canned pineapple. There wasn't very much cheese. It didn't taste very good, it was very bad. The only thing I liked on my plate was the toast, and that was mediocre. You would think they would use fresh pineapple, you're in Hawaii! The omelette was overpriced, they charged $22. I compared other cafes and restaurants in the area and the restaurants don't charge as much. I would never come back. This was an awful experience. Service and food were bad. I think they are taking advantage of the tourist in the area. They are charging more than they should for their food. This is unfortunate.

Wow, the photos do not do justice to this location. The food was amazing with such delicious flavors the chef outdid himself from the French toast to the Web run shadow the ambience is you need at least three days to review all the different spectacular paintings around the restaurant and other a novelty items. The service was wonderful great place to come and visit each time the menu is outstanding.

We came at 7pm for a drink and dessert. I found a great spot at the bar to listen to the one man band. He played Billy Joel, Tom Petty, and Grateful Dead. He was pretty good and made this even more festive for a December night. The food is comforting and we went with an amazing bread pudding that was just outstanding. Definitely safe room for it or go straight for drinks and dessert. The bartender is a friendly local. There's a cute black and white tuxedo cat who deserves attention. We will be back again and again. Cheers.

If you're looking for dakine loco moco, this is it! The vibe is amazing and the food is excellent! This place will definitely be on our must stop places to eat!

I don't know who convinced these people that any of their food is worth anything over 15 dollars. Their wings are soggy and pretty much inedible. The fish and chips is huge disappointment, 20 dollars for 3 bits of fish and a mediocre amount of fries???? Other than that the service is okay, and the place looks nice. But to be completely honest you are better off spending your money somewhere else.

I stumbled upon this little cafe/bar on my first full day in Maui and I really enjoyed the whole experience. As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by the staff and took a spot at the bar. The ambience was very relaxing, smooth jazz playing the entire time. I ordered the late bird special and it was great. A simple breakfast at a good price considering the cost of food on the island. My server was absolutely amazing. Attentive, friendly, and made me feel very welcome as a solo diner/traveler. I like it here and definitely not in a huge hurry to take off. I could hang out at this place for awhile. Rated 4 stars just because they charged 2 bucks for a side of hot sauce. Otherwise it was great.

My love's 50th birthday!!! Thank YOU

Unfortunately things have gotten worse. Coffee is still good but the food (breakfast) went further downhill and the place is so dingy and groady now. It needs a deep clean really bad! Stickiness and dust and grime everywhere, gross! And don't get me started on the politics, yikes.

Kihei Caffe Lahaina is a hoppin' breakfast/lunch eatery that serves traditional American breakfast…read moreand lunch with a local fusion twist. You order food, drinks, then look for a table. If you want take out, there is a separate kiosk to order your food. Please do NOT select a table BEFORE you order your food. The workers do an excellent job clearing and cleaning tables rapidly for fast turnover. There are plenty of counter seating if you don't mind counter seating. There's also lots of outdoor seating too. Fri, Sat & Sundays might be a different story. This restaurant is busy from the time it opens every day. So go get there early if you don't want to wait, especially on weekends. Atkins Omelet - 5/5 This protein filled omelet with variety of meats (Portuguese sausage, ham, bacon) was excellent. The eggs were fluffy and not over cooked. The omelet shape was stacked, not the usual crescent shaped omelet shape. The tomato slices were a perfect side. I would order this again. Banana Mac nut French Toast - 5/5 Another excellent selection. The flavors of this French Toast explodes with the combination of berries and fruit. Not too sweet, hit right. A very enjoyable breakfast to start your day. Loco Moco - 5/5 Kihei caffe makes one of the best Loco Moco. They don't fry the hamburger patty super well done where it's dry and hard. They cook the patty purely to medium. The patty is nice and tender, not hard and dry. The brown gravy is delicious. Not too salty or watery. The brown gravy was very flavorful, and weren't very well with everything. Another repeat order in the near future. Banana Mac nut pancakes - 5/5 The pancakes were not heavy and thick. They were light and easy to finish. The Mac nuts and bananas combined well for a flavorful breakfast. Corned beef hash and eggs - 5/5 The corned beef was perfect made. Real corned beef mixed with real shredded potatoes. The ratio of corned beef to potatoes was perfect. It looks like 80% corned beef to 20% potatoes. Combined with eggs and fried potatoes, it was a very delicious breakfast. I highly recommend giving Kihei Caffe Lahaina visit for breakfast or lunch. Again, the line starts early. It goes relatively quick, so don't be discouraged. Enjoy!
