Our household loves Java House and we were excited to see a new location in Fishers. It is beautifully done and lots of seating inside. I was especially excited to see the drive through. I frequent the broad ripple location so the parking lot makes it so easy. I got the razzle dazzle and it was delicious! They have really creative seasonal drinks and I really like the app.

It was sweet, refreshing, and tasted just like summer in a cup. I honestly never have anything negative to say about Yafa Golden Coffee. Their seasonal menus never disappoint, and I find myself looking forward to each new release. The service is consistently 10/10, with a team that always makes you feel welcome, and the spacious atmosphere offers plenty of seating whether you're meeting friends, working remotely, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. A spot I'll happily keep coming back to again and again!

One of my favorite coffee shops in Indy!…read more The lattes menu is extensive but not overwhelming, and don't get me started on the pastries! Sweet , savory, viral they have it all! I always get the Adani tea because it tastes like a warm hug in a cup. Today I tried the banana Carmel cold foam iced latte! It was perfect!!! Especially for someone who does not like bananas it was the right amount of banana flavor and caffeine! So many beautiful pastries but if you ever see the honeycomb cake make sure to grab it! Its creamy layers merged with honeycomb sheets are something you have to experience to fully appreciate its flavor! The cafe and staff are always friendly and helpful! Truly a taste of Yemen in Indy!

(Next time, I'll know to ask for no whipped cream on iced matchas even when ordered with coconut milk; I didn't know they came with whip, and I'm dairy free so I had to have them remake my drink. It was a smidge awkward, but they were super nice about it!) Mini BFF was with me and got one of the fruit pastries ... you know, they're shaped like the fruit, have the macaron-esque shell with cream and fruit inside? I didn't check prices first--didn't see them listed--and ended up paying a whopping $11 for it. Eek! Mini loved it, though! I just will likely have her get a different treat in the future. XD The vibes of Qahwah are great for a conversation with a friend or a quiet work session. And the drinks really are delicious! I'll be back when I want another fancy matcha.

This terrific Yemeni coffee shop in Fishers not far from I - 69 was a great find. Our son-in-law…read moreactually took us there and knew it was good from past experience. He works not far from this location and had visited a couple of times in the past. It is located in a relatively nice-looking plaza with good neighboring shops. The interior as we walked in was strikingly pleasant. It had a nice airy, spacious feeling and was well-appointed with agreeable coloring and decor. It offered a nice place to enjoy food and drink while chatting, working, reading or simply relaxing. The menu was interesting as it was mostly coffee creations, teas, pastries/baked goods and a few specialty cold drinks. But many of the offerings were very intriguing. There were four of us. My son-in-law tried the Mocha and thought it was nicely done. My wife and daughter each had an iced Butter Cookie Latte. I had a taste and was favorably impressed. I had a Jubani Coffee, which is a medium light roast coffee and coffee husks with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. It was a burst of flavor and provided quite an enjoyable change of pace. The younger ones had two varieties of bagel bites, Classic Jalapeño and Olive. My wife and I split a Butter Cookie Kunafa, which was served in a generous portion and was wonderfully textured with terrific taste. Our bill was $59 including food, drink, tax and tip. Given the fare and the overall experience, I thought this was OK as a treat. I saw that this place is part of a chain of 30 shops that is based in Dearborn, MI. This is not far from our home in SE Michigan, so we will look for an opportunity to find another shop near us.

We LOVE B&B! Whether it's for trivia, bingo, or just going to have a relaxing place to read or play…read moresome board games, it's always a great time! We used to love going to the one downtown on Mass Ave also before it closed. But we're thankful this one is still open and that we live so close to it. I've found so many Xmas gifts for friends/family here also. If you're looking to find some retro, classic games and/or books, this might be the motherload! It's tucked in on the backside facing Home Depot, but once you find it the first time, you'll never forget where it is! Go in, grab some games, a beer (or two), and hang out during a trivia night! You'll feel right at home.

My…read moregood buddy is a bit of a low-key musical virtuoso (the guy can play six instruments!), and I got to see him play three of the six instruments on the Books & Brews stage. It's such an intimate performance area, and the sound and lighting are great. They have open mic nights here every week, and I can see myself coming back in the future to listen to more music. This is the "mothership" B&B -- the OG. I've been to some of the other Books & Brews around Indy before they closed, and this one definitely feels like an original. It's very ... lived in, let's say. The layout makes no sense, and there's a lot of stuff everywhere. But it's a cozy space, and lots of people, including families with young kids, were there when I visited. I like that there are "third places" like this that adults and kids can visit to to play games and eat and have a beer. (The adults have a beer! Sorry, kids.) The food at any Books & Brews has never been my favorite. In fact, I usually avoid it altogether and just get beer. But this time, my drink of choice was kombucha, and I got an "Oliver Twist," which is a soft pretzel with beer cheese. That reminds me: The food and beverages on their menu have silly little literary names. You have to know something about me: When I see silly little names on menus for ordinary food items, a switch turns on inside me and I become a defiant brat. I will never play along and say "The Girl with the Chicken Nuggie Tattoo" instead of "chicken nuggets" or "A Tale of Two Piggies" instead of "the ham and bacon sandwich." Nope. It's not happening. And when I ordered the "soft pretzel" instead of the "Oliver Twist," they understood me just fine. There is a huge wall of shelves filled with board games that you can grab and play at your table. There had to have been at least 50 or 60 different games. They also have lots of new board games for sale, as well as things like Magic the Gathering decks, Pokemon cards, Funko and geeky swag. Oh! And, of course, they have lots and lots of books, new and used. I couldn't tell if they were arranged with any rhyme or reason. So if you're looking for something specific, you might have better luck finding it elsewhere. But if you're looking to let destiny choose your next read, you might want to pop into Books & Brews and let the B&B powers-that-be guide you to the perfect book.
