Went to Jason's Deli today (Houston #028 / 11120 Northwest Fwy) and purchased a nutty chicken salad and a smokey jack chicken panini. The salad was fine but the panini...it had gross black grill crud on the bread and the sandwich smelled burned. I remove 2 smaller pieces of the black crud and tried to eat 1/2 of the sandwich, but that's when I noticed the smell. Went back to the table and noticed the much larger piece of crud on the other half of the sandwich. I had to call them. The manager was apologetic and is processing a refund, but told me that the grills are cleaned daily. A grill needs to be cleaned throughout the day to avoid this type of issue. I also noticed quite a bit of debris on the floor behind the counter. What further got my attention was seeing one of the workers walk down the counter way and just grabbed a big handful of lettuce and walked all the way back to her work area carrying it...not a good look from a customer's perspective. I've never had an issue at this location before and I hope they get it together soon. The service was good even though we waited longer than usual for our order. read more

Sometimes you just revert to something that takes you back to a simpler, comfortable place- Jason's Deli fills that spot for me. It's been years since I was in a Jason's Deli store but it's still a go to for me when I want a good sandwich and side soup or salad. Always reliable and consistent, I could easily find a spot for their Rueben sandwich, even if I remove half the sauerkraut every time. That's just my preference and something I've never tried to add to the online order. The portion size and ratio of meat to bread is massive. Sides are always good with a variety of soups and a recently discovered huge side salad option. There's your value play if you're looking. Excellent service - very friendly (but not overly so). I appreciate the smiles and the suggestions. Great first person to meet this time. Wait time was fine (I didn't feel like I was waiting forever). Though after getting my entree I wish they'd spent a bit more time making it good. Based on the posters as I walked in, the chicken caprese sandwich sounded good. Well, the chicken was ok. The sandwich was dripping wet (not juice). I am guessing the chicken was frozen and had to be microwaved? The one slice of Roma tomato was hardly worth the advertising that it had it. (Only one half of the sandwich had a slice.) There was plenty of spinach and mozzarella, but the chicken and the sandwich had a lot of black pepper which was odd. I was asked what chips I wanted and it's hard to understand how plain chips can be so messed up, but they tasted like a blend between lightly barbecued to seasoned with pepper. Just odd. I miss the days when Jason's was one of the outstanding sandwich shops, where they were tasty, fresh, made with care, etc. But it just seems like the motto now is "meh, it is what it is." Definitely my favorite Jason's deli! It's always a pleasure to walk in to an establishment and see the Manager, Mr Jack working just as hard as his employees! And alongside them makes it even better. When you walk in the cashier always greets you with a smile! We tried the new Truffle pasta with chicken and it's absolutely delicious! Better consistency than the Alfredo Pasta, the mushrooms & spinach make such a great difference. The Pollo Mexicano is delicious! Can't go wrong with Jason's a very delightful place for lunch! I have been a customer of Jason's Deli for years. Enjoy their soups and salads. Especially enjoy their muffuletta sandwiches!

They poisoned me, yesterday afternoon around 3pm. I had a roasted Turkey breast on white bread with mayo, with lettuce and tomato also had water with a squeeze of lemon. I don't know what got me sick, I managed to drive my car across the street near the Starbucks location and I sat in the heat in my car for the next 3 hours, unable to function because of the pain, inflammation of my joints, the horrible headache and nausea I was feeling. It is now after 9:30, my stomach is still upset, I was finally able to get out of bed and use the restroom, not a pleasant experience, I wander who else got sick at this location. read more

I ordered a club royale I asked the gentleman to please remove the tomato from my order because I'm allergic to the tomato, live in Katy Tx. I'm not in this area much but I love Jasons deli The gentleman at the drive-through window was very rude!!!! I say hello to him ask I was handing my card, he did not say anything then when he finally brought my order I asked her a few extra napkins and he gave me an awful look so instead of getting mad I just drove off. This Jason's Deli is in a nice part of town, nothing too crazy. The service was...sub par. We weren't greeted or felt welcome but what can we say, it's a chain. I ordered the Cuban Po Boy with a side of BBQ chips which were surprisingly good. The sandwich wasn't bad either, not my favorite that I've had but still pretty good. Ordered a Plain Jane Potato. There was so much cheese on the potato that I couldn't eat it. There was a couple of chives, a couple crumbles of bacon, a very small dab of sour cream and a ton of cheese. I had to move the cheese off the potato to eat a very dry and bland baked potato. The people were friendly at taking my order and giving me my salad bar. It's a pretty normal location as far as what it has and everything. But as I'm currently here writing my first review on yelp because I always get two gos at the salad bar. I got my first plate and went to turn in my plate to get a clean one for the second round. The lady told me it's only one time. I said really? I purchased the salad bar. Did that change? She said they did. And the manager here only allows 1 go at the salad bar. Like the new huge location. Used to go to them years ago in when they were in the smaller shopping center. They are now where the legendary Gigi's used to be at. Got the California club with chili and chips. They didn't ask me if I wanted fruit. Just put chips in the bag. Had Bday 5 off so I tried out the strawberry shortcake and it was okay. Nothing special. I am a regular that comes here every day to eat . The cashier named Kimberly was very rude to me with a mean face and ugly attitude. She stated that I could not get ranch from the salad bar . How do you rate a place like this? It's a good chain and more of a fast food character type of place. In order to meet my expectations here, I enjoy a simple ordering process, the right amount on the check and the right food being provided at table - the food quality is obviously a certain standard and either you like such a place or you don't. A side fun factor is watching people to load their plate at the salad buffet - it brings me back to my times at school when 3D architecture was introduced: The Pyramids, LoL! Great place for lunch! I tried the new Irish Potato Soup. I liked it very much and will eat it again. My other favorite, the Chicken Caesar Salad, will have to wait till I get tired of the new creamy goodness with cheese, bacon, and chucks of potato. This location is busy during lunch, so you'll likely be sitting next to strangers because they have so many booth/table combinations. I am a regular customer. There is always an issues with my orders. Salads portions too small, salad buffet order not completed as directed online. Once, I was comforted employee in front of everyone because she did not believe I paid for the salad bar. She never apologize after I showed my receipt. The name is deception! This place kept coming up on my yelp list when looking for healthy places to eat and I kept not paying attention, going purely by its name and I would never do that again. I vouch to listen to yelp. My team at work decided to order lunch from here last week and this is my new favorite. I got the nutty salad no meat and this is hands down one of the best salads I've ever had. The perfect cheese, grapes, apples, cranberries, nuts and all things fresh and delicious. The balsamic dressing was just perfect for it as well. I also ordered a cup of vegetable soup (mostly as a back up in case I did not like the salad. Yes! I was still skeptical about ordering salad from a deli). The soup was good, but my love for the nutty salad overpowered everything else.
