I want to explain the four stars, handicap accessibility is very important to me and they are not ADA compliant. That said, I have had some exquisite Thai cuisine in my life, and this is up there with some of the best. I read the negative review in regards to the calamari. I would like to remind this person, that each individual chunk of calamari are different. It's tissue structure is unlike chicken, pork or beef. While on lunch one day, I happened into Jasmine. I had never been there before, but love Thai cuisine. I ordered their Seafood Adventure entree. What came was a spicy treat that left me satisfied most of the day. I attached a picture of the dish which was skillfully put together, and delicious. The green mussels were iridescent and tasty. The scallops and salmon were perfectly done and tender. The calimari was beautifully scored and cut in such a way, that it made them to look like the trunk of a palm tree. There were mushrooms, peppers and onions as well as a generous portion of noodles soaking up the perfectly spicy sauce. Just when you think it was too spicy, you take a bit of their Jasmine rice to cool your palate, and get back in the fight! lol Definitely going to return here to try other dishes, if not order another adventure! First time here and we were the only two patrons last night! Yelp has wonderful reviews and my friend and I had such a hard time picking what to eat! The decor is super cute inside. She had a glass of wine (5.50) I had their amazing (like seriously too good) thai tea for only $2.50! We started out with the glass noodle salad (spiciest) dish of the night and wish my main entree was spicy like this. Warm noodles with ground chicken, lime, cilantro, basil, it was wonderful. Only one shrimp was on top ($7). I decided to skip my usual dish of Drunken noodles and got the Romain (under the noodles menu). I got rice noodles instead of linguine. It was great, loved that the sesame oil flavor was powerful, it said it had red curry I didn't see anything curry- or red-like. I got beautiful vegetables: zucchini, green beans, broccoli. I would ask for extra basil I like more than one leaflet. Their ingredients are fresh and the owners/wait staff was so nice and kind. The prices are a tad bit high for the portions but I did have enough food for lunch the next day. I think I will need to go back and try the Tom yum and some of their fried rice dishes. The jasmine eggplant entree sounded heavenly. My friend got the panang curry she was wishing it had a spicier flavor but overall it was yummy. I got to taste it too! Best Thai food I've had in the Capital Region so far. 2 minutes from my house in Rotterdam. The lunch prices and portions are great. Always very nice and courteous service. The restaurant is always very clean, quiet, and is quite cute. Good spot for lunch and takeout. Just one edit, their food is actually spicy. Not this fake American spicy, but Thai spicy. Fantastic. The food is great, the service is exceptional. Prices may be a little higher than some of the local competition, but the quality and attention to detail are worth it IMO. I've been here twice and loved it both times. Everything - from drinks and apps to entrées and desserts - is fresh and flavorful with thoughtful presentation. Staff is very attentive without being overbearing. Rather than ask multiple times whether you're ready to order, they watch and wait for the menus to close or for you to hold eye contact. I like it. Our waitress overheard me say to my mother, "You have to get dessert on your birthday!", and even though she didn't order anything, they brought over a complimentary fried ice cream, complete with candles and an enthusiastic song. Visiting Schenectady for a few days and found this super cute restaurant on yelp! Thought I'd check it out. There were not many people there, but I assume it was because it was late on a Thursday night. The service was prompt and kind. I am a vegetarian, so sometimes I have difficulty asking for some of the foods without meat on it, but the waitress was very accommodating. We ordered the drunken noodles (with the egg on the side), mango curry, and thai iced tea. All of it was PHENOMENAL. I usually don't like drunken noodles, but these were well worth it! The mango curry was a little too thick for my liking, but overall was decent. The Thai Iced tea was very refreshing. Pre-pandemic this place was one of the best Thai places in the area. During the pandemic we stopped in and found their food to be horrible, but we thought it might be because it was the middle of the pandemic. Last night we ordered from them again. The food has not improved since our last experience. They seem to be using frozen vegetables and might even be cooking them separate from the food because they were super overcooked. Fresh and thoughtfully prepared Thai food. Every dish is robust with the flavors as described on the menu. We have visited 7 times since June 2021. Every time the hospitable dining room staff brought the piping hot food at the perfect pace. The restaurant, bathrooms and kitchen looked clean and there are 10 booths surrounding 6 tables. Heat levels from zero to 4. 2 is zippy and 3 is a spiritual experience. Cool down with tastey Thai chilled tea. The duck melted with flavor and it was cooked perfectly. Try any appetizers that sound yummy, for $6 each. 2 to 4 selections will be a good start for a table of 4. We had 2 apps plus a Thai tea and the 4 pictured entrees, $82 plus tax and tip. Every time I go here the food is good. Great service as far as how attentive the waitresses are. They are on top of getting your your appetizers and food at a good time. In and out in a lunch hour. I got drunken rice and Tofu today because I am trying to go vegan. Good luck to me lol. But it was just as delicious as it was when I ordered it with chicken. Plenty veggies mixed in, but perfect blend of flavor and spice. I also had the egg rolls and fried dumplings. Very flavor full as they come on duck sauce and teriyaki dipping sauce. Wow. You have not had Thai food until you've eaten here. Up until this past weekend (5/28), I have always been wildly underwhelmed by Thai cuisine. So much so that I would even have said that I was not a fan. That all changed a few days ago when I sampled some of the most flavorful and well-nuanced dishes I have ever tried. Food: Not only the best Thai food I have ever had; but also some of the best food I have ever had. Bangkok Duck: My mom has been raving about this duck since she last had it. Mind you, my mother knows good food, but isn't exactly the most reliable source when it comes to identifying mind-blowing cuisine. She hit the nail on the head here. Tender duck coated in a delicious and crisp exterior, then topped with a sauce that reminisced of General Tso; but without the spice. It was a tad bit heavy-handed on the ginger, but overall, it was as phenomenal as advertised ( 5/5) Yellow Curry: My brother got the Yellow curry with duck. Unfortunately, a lot of ducks died that day to feed our table :-(. I don't like curry. Strike that. I did not like curry UNTIL I ate that dish. Holy smokes. What an incredible array of flavors all interwoven into that dish. So well balanced, and the spiciness was perfect. Just enough to get to the point of 'too hot' without ever eclipsing that mark. (6/5 -- yes, that is a 6) Mango Curry: My sister got the mango curry with, you guessed it ... duck. What a unique blend of flavors! The mango (which I thought would be gross in curry), made the dish. The sweetness and exotic flavor of the mango beautifully juxtaposed the spicy curry and the other flavors. If you like sweet and heat, this is a great option for you. (5/5) Chicken Fried Rice in a Pineapple Bowl. Yup, they split a pineapple in half and served a steaming, hot, and generous pile of fried rice within it. I am always extremely underwhelmed by fried rice -- nearly everywhere I go. It is ALWAYS under-seasoned. Not here. But that isn't the best part. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful. More times than not, whatever meat is in fried rice always gets dry and overcooked. Not here. Incredible (5/5) Curry 'Strombolis': Little puff pastry nuggets of love stuffed with a curry-vegetable filling and served with sweet thai chili and an incredibly delicious clear sauce with low viscosity and floating chopped-up veggies within. Not sure what that sauce was, but they introduced me to so something entirely new and delicious ( 5/5 4+1 for dipping sauce). Crab Rangoons: Little pockets filled with a perfectly flavored cream cheese mixture and love. Fried to perfection with a plum-sauce of sorts. Delicious. (5/5) Overall Food: 5 / 5 Service: The service was great. Undoubtedly, they value their customers and it shows in their food as well as their service. Extremely respectful, prompt, courteous, and efficient. This was about as good of a dining experience as you can have. Well done, Jasmine's! Service: 5 / 5 Atmosphere: Located in a little area that was seemingly 'off-the-beaten-path', the exterior is not much to behold, but the interior is extremely cozy, clean, and welcoming. It felt like we were transported to another land, to experience another culture, amidst very kind personnel. It was excellent. Atmosphere: 5 / 5 Price: All 5 of us ate for about $125 (that includes tip and taxes). Normally, I would consider that high for this type of food, but this food was undoubtedly elevated -- and a lot of duck was ordered. In my opinion, this Thai food is of extremely high quality and warrants the price. Price: 4 / 5 Final Thoughts: I have never experienced anything like this. It is without equal in my eyes and sets the standard for Thai food. I don't know if I am happy or sad after eating here. I am happy because I got to experience a culinary adventure that I will never forget. I am sad because I will likely never be back to this area to have it again. Thus, I am further saddened because every time I eat Thai from now on, I will be comparing it to Jasmine. Location was very good right off the road. I did a to-go order and it was very hot when I opened. I got the drunken noodles, and they weren't as wide as regular drunken noodles that I have gotten before but not a big deal. The vegetables were over cooked and very mushy when I bit into them. The flavor was there but just a little too sweet for my liking. Next time I will tell them to make it a little spicier. The beef in the drunken noodles was a little tough and not too much flavor in it as well. All in all, great location, great price, decent food will be back to try another dish. read more

Guys, I don't like leaving bad reviews and I know restaurants have been hit hard in COVID. But I've had takeout here twice and it was not good. I'm so surprised by the other reviews talking about how authentic things are. We ordered drunken noodles and red curry (mild). The drunken noodles' sauce tasted off and there was hardly any veggies -- mostly noodles, and not the wide ones that usually come with drunken noodles. The red curry had a gravy-like consistency (was really thick compared to most curries) and almost no flavor. My partner said: this is the worst curry I've ever had. The spring rolls and sauce, for what it's worth, we're delicious. I know restaurants are struggling right now, but I will not come back here. read more

The edamame was decently salted and fresh. The crab ragoon was AMAZING. Honestly the best I've ever had. That sauce it's sat in, so good. Sweet and savory, you just wanna freaking dip you ice cubes in it after the ragoon is gone. That's how good it was. For dinner I had the Triple King. I was eyeing it because it mentioned coconut curry and I'm a sucker for it. It's a soup-like concoction containing chicken, shrimp and scallops in panang curry with mushrooms, bell peppers, peas as well as basil. IT WAS AMAZING. So good that I wouldn't even wanna try anything else here. I'm already locked in. Lol. It was filling and I definitely tilted the bowl to my face to dry to drink it all. Judge me.
