There is only one reason why I visited Janny's (other than it had decent reviews); there are tons of donut parlors everywhere, especially in Orange County but very few places have...cronuts!! If you want a good cronut, this is one of the small shops you must visit. Keep in mind that this store closes at 3pm; therefore, if you want one, get there by lunch time. I chose the glazed cronut; it looked delicious as it was and I was surprised when I was asked "do you want it warmed up" (most places don't ask)? Donuts were very fresh but very greasy. Lady at the counter was not friendly or welcoming. The donuts were mediocre, not my fave due to the amount of grease. I got there in the early afternoon and the cereal donuts which I specifically went in for were already sold out. I ordered a dozen and they were shoved into a little box! Was so disappointed to open my donuts and find the grease and toppings smooshed on to the top of the box! By the time we got home, the donuts were mis shaped, toppings smashed and so unappetizing. The shop is located in a small plaza with other eateries, interior is small with outdoor seating. I got the blueberry cake donut, my BF got the chocolate glazed, we also got two coffees (total $6.75). Donuts range any where from $1.25~$3.00. My blueberry cake donut was not too sweet and fluffy texture, wish it had more blueberry flavor but overall a solid donut. The donut obsession continues and next on the list was none other than Jannys Donuts! I've heard great things about this place, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The Cinnamon Crumb Donut Holes are absolutely delicious; don't sleep on these!! Better than the regular donut holes in my opinion. Old fashioned donuts are my go-to at every donut shop and Janny's definitely had the texture I was looking for. Crispy on the outside with a dense, soft exterior. Not as dense as other old fashioned donuts I've had, and I do think the glaze was a little sweeter. It also doesn't look as cute as other Old Fashioned donuts, but hey as long as it tastes good, I'm all for it. I thought the regular raised Glazed Donut was just okay. Not as fluffy as some others I've had. The Buttermilk Bar was better in my opinion, but that's probably because I'm more of a cake donut person!! For the price though, not bad at all ;-) read more

Both times only one jelly donut and offering was slim. Both times, I asked if they could or would be making more donuts that day. Their response...no. Can you fill the two remaining eclairs with custard?... No... This is not the Janny's I remember. Janny always took care of me and each time left me with just a little something extra...even after noon. This new ownership is using the same name; but sadly, Janny's past quality is now as non-existent as their donut selection. The staff here is super friendly and there was a decent line when I went on Saturday morning. I really wanted to love this place - and it is good - just not fantastic in my opinion. I got the ham and cheese croissant, chocolate twist and the maple bacon. The ham and cheese croissant was very tasty, but there really wasn't much ham, just one slice rolled up and placed in the middle of the croissant. And I rarely say this but the donuts felt really sugary. Yes, I know donuts are sugary, but this was more than I was used to. Maybe it was because I haven't had donuts in a while. The consistency of the actual donut was excellent though - not too fluffy and not too dense. I will give them another try, but will find something new on the menu. read more

Look at these absolutely beautiful donuts! Husband and I came here again today to ask for some treats for our gender reveal. We handed the woman helping us the paper from my doctor indicating the baby's sex. She went to the back, customized these donuts, and had them ready in just a few minutes.
