Grabbed a quick pre-show bite here with the family. We stumbled in here by convenience since we were staying in the hotel. We didn't want to search for a restaurant and then rush through dinner before making a show at the Pantages. Love the open hearth concept. Reminds me of Camino in Oakland. I also appreciate the variety of small offerings. This is my favorite way to eat, a little of this, a little of that. The food did not disappoint here. It wasn't very busy so the service was attentive. Would love to re-visit this place and try a couple of their entrees on the menu. read more

Jane Q is awesome! I really enjoyed everything I tried there, from the almond croissant, the berry croissant, the sweet potato, the french toast, and the coffees. The pastries are baked fresh. The roasted sweet potato served with walnuts, yogurt, and chili marmalade was so unique, simple, and delicious! The bread pudding french toast was pudding like and yummy (not overly sweet) served with roasted apples. I liked it so much I went two mornings in a row when I visited Los Angeles. The atmosphere is modern and clean. Yes, it can be pricey though, for what you get. However, the quality is there and the food is well executed in a nice environment. Waited 30 minutes for two 12oz lattes that were $9 each. I've never seen someone make coffee as slow as the guy they had on the espresso machine on a Sunday morning. He looked overwhelmed with his 3 drink tickets, and was not moving fast. I got to watch him pour 4 meticulous orange juices, adding a millimeter or two to each one, then whip around and spilled them all over his hands and counter, and send them out the a table 3/4 full. ‍ Needles to say, the lattes were absolute garbage. A blind, arthritic, octogenarian who had never seen a coffee machine before could have managed this task better, and with far superior results, just by blind luck. Go elsewhere. read more

Such a fun and interesting place to eat! Went here with a friend who is also an avid Yelp Elite member for Dine LA, and our experience was awesome! The wait staff was attentive, and they were especially good at explaining the dishes on the special Dine LA menu. Got an amazing salad, scallops with sourdough, and a delicious dessert with 24K gold flakes and edible flowers on top! Also, the interior design and location is really cool and hip. We stayed at the Kimpton and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. The lattes are good. We had the breakfast sandwich, and French toast bake, chicken sandwich and sweet potato and watermelon ceviche. All were tasty. We took everything to go to take back to our room and the service was easy and efficient. I'm only deducting a star for pricing. I think it's a bit overpriced but not surprised in a Hollywood hotel. read more

Great staff and food. Quick options to grab and go or very tasty options to dine in as well. I had the seasonal quiche one morning and definitely didn't regret it and then the next tried a flaky croissant with their house made jam and it was so, so delicious. They also have a classic over easy eggs, bacon and brioche toast option, which is always a staple. It's actually fairly embarrassing how much my Husband and I ate here during our week stay at Everly, the pizzas were great too! Large enough for two people to split and their sweet potato dish was different, yet fulfilling. Brownie too! Don't pass this spot up if you're staying in the hotel or just walking by! read more

We had brunch here: the chilaquiles were disgusting. It was all red sauce with mushy chips and little flavor. The Bloody Mary and latté were nothing special and the avocado toast was as expected, avocado on toast for $18. Such a gorgeous place entirely. I have passion for Jane Q. The lighting, the staff, the food, the drinks, the décor, the high ceilings and the location. I live in Long Beach but let me tell you, if I lived closer, I'd become a regular here. I'm a croissant connoisseur and the nice lady-chick at the counter assured me that I would enjoy their croissant. I did! They have them delivered fresh every morning from a local bakery. The plain croissant is served with simple cream, jam and sea salt, which is just the cherry on top. Can't wait to continue going here! read more

I've been here post Rona and never had the pleasure of eating here but support them as a local business who has been open trying to provide grocery style service since restaurants are closed. They have some fresh veggies, big cans not the little ones, sodas in glass bottles and you can even request for their pizza dough so you can go home and make your own pizza. Very nice people and it's always good to support local businesses. Only reason I gave one star off is cause they have a sign that says open 12-8. I was there at 12 on a Saturday morning desperately in the mood for a potato to make some food, came here hoping to support it and they were closed. However I've walked by several times and have seen them open so maybe a fluke. Can't wait to actually sit and eat in this place. read more

It's sad because I root for this place and I tell so many people about this place. There are pros & cons (to be fair), but the cons are just too large! Pros: I love that I can sit upstairs in the lounge area and get work done. They have plenty of outlets and lots of seating which is super ideal for me. Happy hour is always nice and I can usually find something that suits my dietary restrictions (pescatarian). The food is pretty good! I really like their flatbread style pizzas and their brunch menu is tasty. I also ordered their punch bowl before (& although it was primarily ice, the taste was good). Cons: Their customer service is usually pretty hit or miss. There have been numerous times when I'm waiting in line downstairs.. just to be ignored & the waiter is trying to avoid all eye contact. A simple, "Hello, I'll be right with you" can go a long way. In fact, this last time I had to stop the guy as he was walking away from me (w/o even acknowledging me) and say "Hi, can I place an order?" He acted as though I was annoying him & said he had to make a phone call? I left. There are also times when it's unclear about if I can order downstairs and have it delivered upstairs while I work- they aren't very cohesive or consistent with their response. It can make my experience more tedious than it has to be. Lastly, but certainly not least... there are always gnats upstairs. It's the weirdest thing and I'm constantly swatting then away from my food. It makes me feel gross & because I always invite people to meet me there, I feel this weird sense of shame like I invited them to my home with fruit flies or something lol. read more

What a great secret (for now) brunch spot in LA. Had my fiance's b day brunch on sunday and because of the counter service it was the perfect situation to have many friends come by say hi, order some food, chat and go about their way. Located in the Lobby of the new Everly hotel in hollywood, the menu they serve is fresh, and rich with tastiness. We got the Monkey bread with duck...So savory and perfect. The toast Avocado parfait was delicious and smooth. The mushroom pizza was umami goodness, the eggs and grits were cheesy and the roasted peaches with burrata was pretty punch in the face good. hmm Also the eggplant was great. (the great thing about having a big group is def getting to taste everything.) The drinks were well balanced and the mimosa for 8 bucks in hollywood? Steal! after brunch the hotel has a great spacious lobby to hang, drink more and even play pool. I want you to stay away...so I can hold on to this place just little bit longer. read more

Everything was spectacular! Awesome happy hour menu. We loved everything we ordered. The Garden of Greens Salad was delicious. The cheese and pepperoni pizzas were outstanding. Came here mid morning on a Sunday, we were second in line and it took 14 minutes for them to sit us down. They have seating for more than 50 and there was 19 people at their tables with seven employees working. Sat there for 12 minutes before the server took our order, then took another 15 minutes just to get our coffees. Their menu is very limited. I would just expect more out of a $60 breakfast. read more

Solid for what it is. Situated at the bottom of the (awesome) Kimpton Everly, Jane Q is sort of a chic cafe; good coffee & tea selection, some small snacks, quick service and great natural light + layout. The pizzas are standard flatbread and good enough to power you through your cocktails (which they also offer), and the salads are interesting for a small menu. The breakfast fare is a little more robust, so don't hesitate to stop in if you're staying at the hotel. They also offer some Happy Hour specials too so enjoy! read more

The coffee shop in the morning is an absolute vibe. Very overpriced but worth it if you take the time to go sit upstairs. Other guest had Black Truffle calzone. I do not think they know what a calzone is...this was a piece of flatbread with very minimal cheese and maybe truffle oil drizzled very lightly. The Bahn Mi Pork Belly sandwhich is tasty but it is far from the looks of the pictures provided on Doordash. In the pictue it looks like the meat is charred to perfection and looks really good. It it not charred when you get it its almost like it was stewed or something because even the bread is soaked in the sandwhich. Got to eat some food from here but not actually dine at the restaurant. Ask me how...Well, they let us make a reservation, then we we arrive with our two five year olds hungry and one not feeling well in the pouring rain, the door is LOCKED. We inquire inside the hotel and they say oh theyre closing for the night. No reason no nothing. But you can sit in the bar/lounge. So we sit in the lounge with two small children and I constantly walk back and forth to the bar for EVERYTHING. From ordering food, waters, napkins, etc. we literally never got PLATES when the food got walked up from the kitchen so we just ate so we could get out of there for our two hour drive home in the rain. We basically had no choice but to eat in the lounge after they didnt honor our reservation with one kid not feeling well and the coldest/wettest storm of the year - relocating and getting in somewhere would have been horrible. So I guess thanks for nothing. Don't dine here, especially if you think you have a reservation - cuz you don't. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The waiters spilled my drink on my pants and we waited for the sausages we ordered for almost 2 hours! And they even said they never charged the sausages while they were preparing the sausages. That's ridiculous that this cafe tried to lie to cover their fault of not bringing food on time! JaneQ is conveniently located inside the Kimpton Everly, and I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, I left feeling underwhelmed. I got the sourdough waffle with caramelized banana an chantilly cream. The banana was not caramelized; just a plain sliced banana. I found my breakfast to be pricey ($14 for a single waffle and half a banana) but having decent flavors. The waffle edges were crispy and the syrup was yummy. I also got a macchiato that came with a heart design- very cute, and hard to do in a demitasse cup. Service is lackluster here, which is a stark contrast to the excellent service inside the hotel itself. No greeting until I got to the register, and even then I only got a fake smile and a bit of an attitude like I was bothering her. Honestly, if you're going to charge an arm and a leg for average food, you could at least have a pleasant staff. I did ask a different server a question and she was super nice though, so maybe the girl at the register was having a bad day (at 8 am...?). Oh well. The self-serve layout is weird and not innate (free drip coffee up front and serve-your-own water, but no signage or explanation from the staff). The dining room is bright and spacious. Maybe lunch/dinner is a better experience...I'm told they just redid their evening menu. read more

The food is solid and the service is great, but they can probably do a better job cleaning the tables. We have tried their cinnamon crunch waffle, breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, ELT (eggplant, lettuce and tomato), crispy chicken sandwich, and Bah Mi sandwich. read more

While the food is not bad - the "service" I experienced was sorta outrageous. It it the sort of restaurant where you order & pay & take a number to your table (a letter in this case) - then another person eventually brings you your food. Initially, I ordered a Peroni on tap. The cashier blinked back at me & asked, "What is a Peroni?" Then, it took her 5 minutes to manually ring it up because it was not yet programmed into the register. Then, 15 minutes later, I went to order food. I ordered a pizza. I asked if I could buy a side of bread because a friend had given me some craft balsamic there & I thought we would dip some bread in it while we waited for our food. The conversation went like this: Me - I will have the tomato-basil pizza. And - can I buy a side order of bread? Her - You want a side of bread? You mean - like toast? Me - No - bread. Like you get in a basket before your meal. Her - We don't have that. Do you want toast? Me - No - I want bread. Like I see you are serving sandwiches made on. Her - Soooo...you want a side of toast with your sandwich? Me: No - no toast. No sandwich. The pizza. Thanks. Her: So - the bacon & sausage pizza? Me: NO. Tomato basil. I devolved from there - and my friends fared no better. Then - when you pay, you are asked to push one of three buttons on the pad to finalize the sale. The buttons represent TIPS - offered at 15%, 18% and 20%. So - you are awkwardly asked to top AT LEAST 15% - on a meal where you get up to order & pay and then another person just drops it at your table. In this case - the third of the three brunch entrees we ordered was delivered at least ten minutes after the first two. No service. No water. No "Would you like more coffee or another drink?" If you want that - you have to get up, order, deal with an insipid & ill-informed cashier, tip her at least 15% and then go wait. My friend paid $30 for a turkey sandwich & a vodka cocktail. Before tip. So - while the room is bright & cheery & I can walk to this place from my house - I will not be walking there again any time soon. read more

I love this place so much! It's super cozy, and the brunch menu is delicious! I'm seriously obsessed with the Smoked Salmon Rillettes haha. The coffee is really good too.
