After reading the reviews we were excited to try this out. Our kids liked the Orange chicken but I thought it was more bread than chicken. We also got the cashew beef and Kung Pao shrimp and felt it lacked flavor. Still haven't found any Chinese food in Utah that is amazing. read more

They have pretty good food for such a tiny place. We always order take either fir lunch or dinner and they always have lunch special for 6.35 or combination dinner for 8.65. The Kung Pao shrimp is my favorite and they don't skimp on the shrimp. I would love it more if they used fried red chili peppers like other places. The soups are good as well but the so called fried rice that accompanies the meals needs improvement, it's just soy sauce covered rice with little bits of cubed ham. The food is very similar to janbo but 10 times better. The food is cooked after you order so it's not sitting there for who knows how long. The people are very polite. It's a small restaraunt that plays the top hits on the radio. Me and my wife have been going there for years and have never been disapointed. read more

We were really happy with our experience here ! Reasonably priced and pretty tasty! We got two of the dinner combos which came with the entree, rice , egg rolls, wontons and a fortune cookie! We tried out the sesame chicken and the beef and broccoli ! Is recommend both . The sesame chicken had a nice crunch and then a good texture in the middle. Beef broccoli was pretty standard... Great food however, their customer service is ridiculous. The owner is also just outright RUDE and difficult to work with and communicate with... They state on the web site "FAST DELIVERY within 3 miles and at least $13". We had them deliver a $40 order and the owner delivered to us. He actually had the nerve of complaining about our tip on the order and said it was "a waste of gas" and "not good enough" If you expect to be compensated a certain amount of percentage for delivery, I suggest that you add a delivery charge. He only had to bring it down the street, less than 3 miles. Also, aren't tips optional and usually based off the delivery time and customer service, which were both inadequate. He's lucky we tipped at all. We usually order this for lunch at work about 2-3 times a week, not to mention a few of us grew up in Draper and basically lived off of Janbo in high school. Now we're all a little put off and probably won't order from here anymore. Such a shame. I'll miss their pot stickers. read more

Great little place to eat! Since we moved to Draper we've been looking for a good Chinese food place to eat (that is not horrible Hu Hot), and this place has been great! Great price for the food, and the food is pretty good too. Perfect place to have a quick lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly as well! The only thing I would change is that I wish the entrees came with more rice, because its delicious! I recommend getting the Pon Pon chicken. read more

My friend and I got the dinner combo plates tonight. I was a little disappointed because they'll do free delivery for $17+ orders within 3 miles, and I live 4 miles away. But my order was hot and ready 10 minutes later when I went to pick it up, the restaurant was really easy to find, and service was friendly. The orange chicken was really good. The lemon chicken was similar, but the sauce was thicker than the orange chicken sauce, and the chicken pieces were larger compared to the orange chicken (I prefer the smaller bite-size pieces of the orange chicken). The ham fried rice included in the dinner combo plates was a little underwhelming. Not a lot of veggies or color. I think the rice is mainly just soy sauce, oil, eggs, and cubed ham. The crab wontons and fried shrimp included with the combos were delicious and managed to stay somewhat crispy in the container (although they may have been better if they were packaged separately). Overall though, I think the dinner combo plates (around $9 each) were a good value for a ton of food. I would easily get 2 or 3 meals out of a single combo plate. I'll definitely be back to this restaurant for good, affordable Chinese takeout. read more

Janbo is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Don't go if you are a critic of rice or noodles. That's not the specialty. My favorite is the broccoli beef. Absolutely amazing! Decided to give this place a try last night since it is right around the corner from us. The prices were average and the portions were decent. But the food it's self was completely flavorless. I got the pineapple chicken and my husband got the Mongolian beef with fried rice. Both of our entrees were bland. The best part of the meal was the fried rice and even that was pretty disappointing- the rice had ham cubes, egg, and nothing else. I would not recommend this place and I most certainly will not be back. read more

I tried a new Chinese Restaurant & I usually write rave reviews, but I will never order from here again. I think a company's phone should NEVER be busy...Janbo's establishment has a busy signal...very odd for a business nowadays. I ordered food to be delivered for lunch today. The driver called me & told me when he would be 5 minutes away - so I could meet him. He called me back on my cell & knew it would take me a few minutes to get to a meeting place. He started complaining on the phone because I was 3 minutes late & said he has been waiting FOREVER! I don't appreciate the driver talking to me in that rude fashion on the phone & when I got there...he handed my $26.00 order through the passenger window of my car & continued repeating that when he said 5 minutes...he meant 5 minutes. He handed me a receipt & told me to sign it. He then rudely handed it back to me & said "You forgot the tip...I get minimum wage, have to use my own car & pay for my gas". I was already charged more for the food I ordered. I felt pressured into giving him a $4.00 tip he clearly did not deserve. I gave a 10.00 tip for a 22.00 order at a fantastic restaurant earlier this week...so I tip well when the service is great & not DEMANDED OR EXPECTED! I called the manager & he just backed his driver stating his drivers depend on tips & for me to just stop by & he would make sure I was treated better. I would NEVER order from this place again...the food...in my opinion... was not the best or freshest I've ever tasted. I was very disappointed in this establishment. read more

After referring to Yelp for recommendations of Chinese food I was excited to try Janbo. I was starving when I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl. The guy who took the order seemed very friendly and efficient. I can relate to an earlier review that said there was no aroma that one usually senses in Chinese take-out in the car on the way home. Upon eating my meal I was excited to see fresh broccoli and zucchini. But after a couple of bites there was no flavor, no excitement, nothing. The chicken was dark meat that must have been sitting around for a while judging from the appearance and texture. The rice was drowned in some kind of sauce that wasn't particularly flavorful and the rice and sauce had become "one". A couple of pieces of broccoli that were included were the best part. The serving size was generous but even being really hungry I lost my appetite after a few bites. I threw the remainder away. The only reason I gave it one star was for good service and generous portion. I don't usually write reviews but I had to add my opinion since my experience was not good.
