Wow! Hidden gem. I travel the world (I'm a private jet flight attendant) and try lots of different types of food. What a sweet treat to find this place in Utah. We ordered fried rice, veggie fried noodles, orange chicken (no meat for me just the sauce), and teriyaki salmon. Everything was so delicious! We come back as often as possible. Love this place. Today was our last time at Fortune Cookie sadly. We have been customers for many years. When we went for lunch today, they didn't give us our California roll that should have come with the bento box until we said something. It was still on the menu so they did give it to us but their menu is changing and I won't be included. My husband ordered Coke Zero and this time they gave him a can. Then he had another. Apparently, canned soda is $3.00 EACH. Would have been nice to know. Anyway, gone down hill. We used to have big family bday parties there. Will miss that. read more

This has been one of my family's favorite Chinese restaurants for many years. We normally order takeout, but ate at the restaurant yesterday for a change. The food was delicious as always. We absolutely love the cream cheese wontons and ordered 3 helpings lol! I tried the Valentine roll and my mom got the Mars roll. The Valentine roll didn't look the prettiest, but was actually really good! My mom liked her roll as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place, the food is always good! read more

Fortune Cookie use to be our go to place. We would go a couple times a month spending well over $100 everytime we went. Birthdays, date nights, or just a night out with family. The staff was phenomenal, the atmosphere was great. We hadn't been for a minute with the holidays. We made our way in, the atmosphere was nothing like it used to be. All new staff. We got seated and the male server looked like a chicken with his head cut off. My dad was in the middle of giving his order and the guy literally stopped mid ordering handed the notebook off to his mom who doesn't understand English to go answer the phone. The poor mother initially walked off and we had to call her back over to finish taking our order. She had to copy the menu down for what we were ordering because she was she was struggling. The female waitress there looked super uncomfortable you could tell she was trying but she was bouncing to all the tables and seemed super confused on who,what and where. The guy making the sushi rolls that dropped them off to our table didn't seem to understand when we were asking for a refill for our child's drink he waved his hand like he was telling us no. The egg drop soup came out and there were noodles and corn in it. It didn't look right. My son refused to eat it. The sushi tasted like there was soap on it. My dad ordered a beef teriyaki bento box. The beef was so dry and there was almost no teriyaki sauce. We had ordered the fried potstickers and only 4 come out. I had to point out that it was supposed to be 8 as we ordered those frequently. They don't seem to know the menu. The final straw for me was when the guy server brought the ticket to our table. We paid and finished choking down the food because we didn't want to waste it. While we were talking the mother brings another check to us which we told her we already received the check and handed back the little black book with payment back to them. They brought the receipt back and while we were having a conversation the guy that brought us the check then comes back with the bill again. We told him we had already paid. 10 minutes later the female server brings us the bill again. We again informed her that we had already paid and she walked away. We were finishing up our conversation with family and the guy brings another bill and I finally was irritated enough and said you already brought us the bill, we already paid it. They repeatedly came over to try and give us the bill 4 times over but not once did they check on us or refill drinks without us having to ask for it. I am not sure what happened but the old owners and staff need to come back or I anticipate that place will be closed soon. read more

Living in Riverton we have always gone to Fortune Cookie to support local businesses. Dinner tonight (5/30) was a big disappointment. The sauce for crispy beef had a strong burnt taste with a very thick consistency. The pot stickers were cold. With so many options available, not sure it is worth another try. Also my phone couldn't handle the site so I had to use a laptop. I ordered in person and my food took about 10 minutes. I loooved my tempura. Good variety of soft foods with crispy exterior and yummy dipping sauce. My rolls were tasty as well. Not the best ever but the best sushi that's close to my house! The box came with an entree (I got General Tso chicken) and then rice, potstickers, a side salad and a soup. The chicken had immense flavor and was cooked to perfection! The rice was good! The potstickers were a great addition to the meal and tasted great! The soup was hot and flavorful (I chose the wonton soup). And the salad...well that's probably the one reason this review didn't have 5 stars. As a ranch connoisseur, I am convinced that they put mayonnaise on the salad, not ranch. This is my go-to sushi joint when I want something good, close and fast. Service has always been great and authentic. I like the egg drop soup and always get that-even in the dead of summer. You can order a glass of wine, which is nice, but the selection is pretty limited. The sushi rolls I've tried have all been fresh and tasty. I've never done takeout, but while eating in, I observe at least 2-3 different people coming in to get their food, so I know it's a thing. It was strange. The wontons were pretty good, so as long as I had a bite of a wonton in every spoonful of broth it tasted good. My husband said it was different this time. So either they were having an off night tonight or the day he went it was exceptionally good. I don't know. I also got a bento box with a salad, 2 dumplings, fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. The salad was good. (good ranch dressing!) and the dumplings were tasty. But the chicken was tough. The sweet and sour sauce on the chicken was delicious though. I just couldn't eat much because it was hard to eat. And the rice was just ok. It didn't have much flavor. I do want to come back and try their vegetable tempura though. It sounded good. However, this time we ordered for delivery, as we just couldn't make it in. I wouldn't recommend delivery. We ordered heavy as my wife wanted leftovers. Normally we take home 2-3 boxes of leftovers home when we dine in. The portion sizes they give inside vs delivery are not the same. We have little leftovers. This is a perfectly great place to eat. The cold sushi was served hot and the hot sushi was served cold with bad quality ginger. The noodles were soggy, underseasoned (imagine boiled spaghetti) and greasy. The chicken is super grisley and oiley as well, there was a hard piece of bone which hurt to bite on. It's almost as if they heated up old food to throw at surprise new victi-uh customers. The food quality was just terrible here and felt borderline unsafe. I will not be eating here ever again.
