I thought this was really good Americanized Chinese food! I ordered the lunch combo (hot and sour soup, mongolian beef, fried rice, egg roll) and everything came out delicious and hot. The lunch combo is a great value, service was fast, the restaurant was clean, and we left feeling very full. Will be back!
If you check my other reviews, you'll see I don't frequent Chinese restaurants. Much to my husband's chagrin, it is not my favorite. But I found myself in a rare mood, and this highly rated spot is super close to home, so we gave it a go. We came in right after it opened, and there were already people waiting for takeout orders. We were the only ones sitting down to eat. We were greeted, seated, and served by a very polite young man. It's a fairly small place and slightly outdated, but clean. We ordered the lettuce wraps which were pretty good. This might be nitpicky, but the lettuce leaves were really small/thin, so it was a little hard to get much onto them. I got the honey walnut shrimp as it is one of my favorite dishes, but I'm sad to say I was pretty disappointed. The sauce was sweet but not really flavorful. My husband really liked his food; he got one of the combo meals. We had quite a few leftovers. They had a steady stream of people waiting for takeout, so it's clear that this is a popular spot, but we didn't get less attention because of it. Based on service and food quantity, I think we'd come back, and I'd give something else a try.
Ordered takeout and the food was ready for pick up within 15 min! I felt like it was a little on the pricier side but portion sizes are great so it's worth it. The inside of the restaurant is a little smaller but they have serval tables and booths to sit if you decide to eat there. The food was super yummy! We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein, Broccoli Beef, Cream Cheese Wontons, and the General Tao's Chicken. Our favorite was the Lo Mein! Our wontons could have been a little crispier but the cream cheese filling was super good. Overall we had a great experience getting takeout here!
This place is a hole in the wall restaurant with delicious food and personable service. The food tastes like it is freshly made, and the lunch specials cannot be beat! The service is fast and friendly. The ambience is spacious and wide open with tables that will fit parties that are small or a large.
This is our new favorite Chinese takeout restaurant! Simple, no-fuss Chinese food served family-style. We've done takeout and eaten in the restaurant. Our favorite dishes are Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, Kung Pao chicken, chicken lomein. The Ma Po tofu was so delicious - they prepare their tofu really well. None of these dishes are IG-worthy but sometimes you really crave these delicious brown sauces and this place delivers. The restaurant service is quick and friendly but inside is nothing fancy - small with only 10 or so tables. Our server once was wearing pajama pants which was fine but just so you know :D Oftentimes there are a lot of people waiting against the wall for their takeout food. Highly recommend for good solid Chinese takeout in Sandy area.
I discovered this amazing restaurant because I was craving egg drop soup and looked for places that had it on Yelp. It was a far drive for me, but absolutely worth it. I would come here again and again. The service was great, it is a small place and the staff member working in the front was very attentive. My reason for going, the egg drop soup was soooooo good! I got a bowl, enough to share and I didn't even want to share. Because the soup was so good, I got a combo as well with sweet and sour chicken and broccoli beef, house fried rice, an egg roll, and cream cheese wonton. Everything was so delicious, and the portions are large. I highly recommend Lucky Bowl!
Ate here twice. Service was wonderful both times. Food was good the first trip, 4 stars. The second time, not so great. The meat was tough. Flavorless. I didn't even eat my leftovers. Disappointing. Wondering why the difference in experiences. As an Asian, I'm pretty picky. I won't be picking this restaurant again. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
Skip panda and come here for better quality food and portion sizes! Not only is the location convenient, but the staff were friendly too. I think Lucky Bowl is going to be my new go to for Chinese takeout
Once again, I have come back to this place! It is so good! The prices are amazing the service is so good and the whole experience is great! If you are ever craving Asian food come here!! They have so many options and I love that it is family style! I know I will be back soon!!!

Lucky Bowl is a great spot when you're craving Chinese food. As usual, you get a ton of food for the price, and everything was delicious. I forgot to take pictures because the food looked so good that I dove right in! The staff was also very friendly. I'd definitely recommend giving Lucky Bowl a try. read more

My mother-in-law recommended this to me. I'm usually really hesitant when people recommend Chinese Restaurants to me. I'm not a big fan of the "Panda Express" tasting Chinese food. For starters, we ordered the Wor Wonton Soup. The broth was rich and hearty. The shrimps were large and plentiful. All the vegetables blended in with the flavors. I just wish the beef was a little more tender. A little marinade in baking soda would fix this. We ordered some chicken lettuce wraps. This has minced chicken, celery, bamboo shoots, and carrots. These are good by themselves but are best with hoisin sauce. I just wish the lettuce leaves were bigger. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was also good. The sauce had a nice blend of mayo, honey and lemon. It had a little too much breading for me but still tasted good. For $16.99, I wished there was a bit more shrimp. One thing I really appreciate - they GLAZE the walnuts! This is one of the few places that I actually like the sauce and they glaze the walnuts! The Crispy Beef is definitely my favorite. In fact, I think this is better than the one I get from Red Maple. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of heat. Again, I really wish they would marinate the beef in baking soda to soften it up. The last dish we ordered was the Garlic Chicken. The server forgot to put the order in for this dish and there was a rush to get it out to us. They forgot to put garlic in this dish so wee sent it back. It was perfect when it came back. This place is fast becoming our go-to-place for Chinese Food. It's was a nice surprise and I'll can't wait to try the other dishes! read more

Wow, this place is so good! I was told I needed to give this place a try and I'm glad I did! First off, the restaurant is very clean. There is a decent amount of seating and we were seated right away and asked what we wanted to drink. The menu has lots of options and lots of different combos to pick from. I decided to try the special #4 which is general tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken lomein. I was told the portions are huge and they definitely are! My boyfriend and I were able to share the entree and it was enough for two people. The general tso's chicken had really good flavor and so did the sweet and sour chicken. Both were very crispy and covered in a perfect amount of sauce. The chicken lomein was also really good. Really good spot for Chinese food! The prices are very reasonable, especially for how much you get! I am definitely coming back here soon. read more

We stopped by to eat-in at about 5pm on a Sunday. My wife had read several of the reviews and was really excited to try the Pot Stickers. The menu claimed and it was confirmed in a number of reviews that the Pot Stickers are made fresh and take 15 min. So, as soon as we were seated she ordered them. About 2-3 min later they were delivered and they were clearly not made fresh. They were not much more than warm, the non-fried part was not fully cooked so it was still doughy and they fell apart. Overall the Pot Stickers, which was kind of the main reason we went there, were a disappointment. We both also ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and unfortunately it also was not hot. I really prefer soup in particular to be served piping hot but this was just lukewarm. So that part was bad but the flavor of the soup was much better than average. I have been really disappointed in all the Hot and Sour soup I've had over the last several years as it seems to never be even slightly hot and never more than a vague hint of sour, but the Hot and Sour Soup at Lucky Bowl was noticeably hot (but not crazy hot) and had a satisfying sourness. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. I was worried that this, too, would be warm and not hot but I was pleased that when it came out it was nice and hot, the veggies were fresh and delicious and the chicken was cooked absolutely perfectly. The sauce was also very good compared to anything I've had recently at Americanized Chinese restaurants. The flavor was awesome and the heat was at least present, but still nothing crazy at all. The prices here are shockingly low and the portions are pleasantly large. There were a few other people dining in but they were moving to-go orders like crazy! They had a sign advertising a family to-go special and it is a deal that can't be beat. Overall I think this is an exceptional Americanized Chinese restaurant and I think the few issues I had with the food were likely a result of coming in early in the service for Sunday because they open at 4pm on Sundays. I don't know if they run short staffed on Sunday intentionally but I think there was only the cook and server there and the server was spending a lot of her time answering the phone for to-go orders. So I think they were a bit pressed, but the service was still very good. If I go back and the Pot Stickers are made fresh I'm at 5 stars, but I did ding a star for undercooked and definitely not made fresh Pot Stickers when that was the primary draw. read more

I enjoyed Lucky Bowl! Ordering for takeout was a breeze and everything was ready when I arrived to pick it up. Service was friendly. The price point for the portion size is great! I had a good chunk of leftovers for the next day. I got the orange chicken combination (comes with ham fried rice, plus a spring roll and one butterfly shrimp). The hot and sour soup was also very good, as were the cream cheese wontons. My partner tried the teriyaki chicken as an entree (comes with white rice) and thought it was okay. Overall, I was happy with our meal and I would return to sample some of their other entrees. read more

I stopped by here with my partner after an appointment around 2:45pm for a later lunch. They have a $9.99 lunch special that comes with your choice of a cream cheese wonton or springroll/a soup (eggdrop, wonton, or sweet and sour), a lunch special entree and rice. I got the veggie lo mein and added tofu and it was delicious. I literally ate the entire thing, I was so hungry. We came here at an odd time, but there was no on else there, we had the place to ourselves! The server was wonderful, she was anticipating all of my needs before I could even ask - I ran out of diet coke and wanted water, and before I could even ask her for a glass of water, she was walking over with one for me. It's tucked away in a little strip mall in Sandy and is a little hard to see/find so it could easily be missed. We were parked in the strip mall, looking for places nearby on Yelp and didn't even realize how close we were to Lucky Bowl until we found it on Yelp. Looking forward to coming back! read more
Very clean places to sit and the staff were friendly upon ordering. They had great deals with lunch specials and I was able to get 3 lunch deals under 25$ they all had a soup included. The wait was not too long once u ordered to when it was ready. There is plenty of parking places to dine in. There are places to sit while waiting for your order. read more

This is just a little hole in the wall in a strip mall but it's the way a Chinese lunch ought to be. $10, hot and sour soup, egg roll, entree and rice. I even got crispy noodles for my soup. With tip, I'm walking out with a bloated tummy and $12 less in my bank account. Everything was fresh hot and delicious. The service was friendly and Swift. No complaints! read more
This little strip mall has changed businesses so many times and whenever I am in town visiting my mom we get to try the new offerings. This is an Americanized Chinese restaurant but with one exception, their dumplings are handmade and are very delicious. Great customer service, freshly made food and what is there not to love? Happy to support local businesses and hope more and more pop up around the area. For sure will be back when visiting Utah. read more

I stumbled upon this place today by accident. Its a small restaurant that had been opened for may be a month. When we went inside, I was very happy to see how clean and bright it was. The lady at the counter greeted us immediately. We ordered the Special Combination #9 (with Vegetable Shrimp, White Rice, Sesame Chicken & 2 Butterfly Shrimps), and Curry Beef #308. Food came out very quickly. And all the ingredients were so fresh! I was very happy with their portion size...in my opinion they serve enough food! I'm very happy that I discovered them. I picked up takeout again from Lucky bowl today and once again I took advantage of their takeout special of 3 entrees and 2 sides. We had Mongolian Chicken, Egg Foo Young, General Tso's Chicken, Lo mein, and ham fried rice. There was enough food to feed 8 to 10 people. Everything was hot and delicious. read more
