We (my gf, Heidi and myself} stopped in about 6:00 a couple of weeks ago because we pass by it several times a week and have read the reviews. Had an good experience. Heidi had a mixed vegetable noodle dish and I had chicken Lomein (both pretty pedestrian dishes). Both were perfectly prepared. Mine consisted of strictly white meat chicken breasts cut into decent sized chunks. The noodles were cooked perfectly. We ordered both entrees on the spicy side and they were able to accommodate the request and brought extra chili oil, too. Attentive and an excellent service-oriented waiter whose name was Carter. Second review in one week! One day after being blown away by how good this place was, I brought my team and my manager who was visiting from Vegas here. They all absolutely loved it. I'm glad I was able to take my love for sweet and sour dishes to the next level by ordering their Chef's Special Sweet and Sour combination. This dish was massive and I don't know how I finished. The value, taste and quality of the food at Lucky Bowl is honestly so good. This dish came with Sweet and Sour Chicken, pork and Shrimp. One spring roll, one butterflied shrimp, and fried rice. Every bite was so full of flavor. We also ordered the cheese wontons and they were so delicious. Crunchy, not oily and the sweet and sour sauce made them even better. We tried Lucky Bowl after my son recommended them and based on your Yelp reviews too. I have been looking for years for Chinese food that I really love and Lucky Bowl is the winner. Yes the portions are huge in fact we ate ours for three meals. The service great. The inside is really small so next time we will just order take out. There will be lots of next times I promise. The restaurant is so clean & nice . It is in a strip mall but not hard to find . The waitress was kind & helpful . We ordered the combo Sweet & Sour chicken with chicken low mien & General Tso . We also ordered the combo Orange chicken, ham fried rice , chicken low mien & 2 shrimp . The food came out so fast & was so fresh . The chicken breading was light & not greasy . The Orange sauce was light & not too sweet - slightly spicy . Low mien was delicious the chicken was tender . The General Tso could have been a little spicer but was very good . The Sweet & sour sauce is light & not too sweet . The ham fried rice was fluffy & good . The shrimp was really good too . The portion size here is huge ! You could almost share a combo . Spent the weekend down near here for our anniversary and decided to try this place song the reviews. I'm always skeptical when places have this many stars, but this restaurant lived up to the hype. We started with the freshly made potstickers as an appetizer. They were so fresh and flavourful we ordered another order. We then ordered generals chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and mushroom beef. All 3 dishes were very flavorful and exceeded our expectations. And not to mention, the portions were huge. Most places either have large portions of OK food or small portions of good food. The service was phenomenal, and the young gentleman was great. The food wasn't anything to write home about. However the reason it's two stars is the orange chicken and other food tasted like it had a fishy taste. It was kinda stomach turning because none of it should have had a fishy taste. Ordered a pickup with moo shu pork, kung pau chicken and a vegetable dish. Incredibly friendly staff but the food was underwhelming. The kung pau dish was listed as spicy but I couldn't find any trace of heat. No Szechuan or even jalapeño peppers were present. They should throw a few chile oil packets when this dish is ordered. The moo shu filling was tasty but with only 4 pancakes there was a lot of excess and didn't have any plum sauce to top off. The deluxe vegetable dish was cooked fine but the brown sauce/gravy was very bland and I feel was detrimental to the dish. read more

I have been here a few times, and have highly recommended it in the past. However, my most recent trip was less impressive. I ordered the #2 combination, which includes Kung pow chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice and two egg rolls. While the portions continue to be generous, the service was the slowest I've experienced here and I didn't get what I ordered. The sweet and sour pork was fine (although I prefer less sauce than the pool I got); but the Kung pow chicken wasn't spicy at all. At first I thought perhaps I got cashew chicken, except there were peanuts rather than cashews. And it contained celery in addition to bell pepper, carrots and onions. So I don't even know what chicken dish I got. My dining companion ordered the #4 combination of General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken Lo Mein. Again, there was no heat in the General Tso's chicken - none whatsoever. So for slower service and getting the wrong order and no heat at all in two supposedly spicy choices, only three stars this time. read more

Wow! Had a great experience tonight. We went for a late Father's Day hangout with the family. We ordered the potstickers and soup to start. Potstickers were handmade and fantastic! We all loved them. Soup was good too - standard egg drop with corn. Good flavor, came out hot and fresh. Perfect start. My wife got chicken lettuce wraps. Chicken was ground fresh and had great flavor. She also got almost a full head of lettuce to eat with. Somehow she always runs out of lettuce and didn't tonight. I had a beef broccoli and sweet and sour chicken combo. Great breading on the chicken with a good consistency for the sauce (not sticky or thick), well balanced sauce for the beef broccoli with a great taste! My daughter got garlic chicken - it was a little spicy for her but she's a real spice lightweight (she doesnt even use black pepper) but I loved it and gave her some of my sweet and sour in exchange. It has a little bite to - not hot but the pepper does build up a little and you'll feel some heat after a bit. Great friendly and attentive service. Super clean and bright. It was a wonderful meal. Very large portions it filled up the plate. I got a sweet and sour combo plate. It had chicken, pork and shrimp breaded in tempura. Then for two dollars more we got ham fried rice, one shrimp and one spring roll. My husband got ham/egg fu young. It was in a large pie pan it looked like four egg fu young Pattie's but it was just a very large one. Highly recommend this place. Most people came in for takeout because it's a small restaurant inside. Don't recommend the egg drop soup. It was bland only eggs and broth. But the hot and sour soup was delicious. And I think the Coke and Sprite machine something was wrong it came out warm. It melted my ice and no bubbles. Service was great. read more

Been here a number of times as it's not far from us like a number of other Chinese places. To be honest the food is average - not great, not terrible. However, went the other night and was refused service for no reason. Couldn't get through on the phone to order take out so went in and was told they wouldn't take the order. That's absurd. What terrible service! There were people waiting to pick up orders and a guy was there getting one at the register. There were only 2 or 3 three tables with people. One of the servers came out of the kitchen with a dish and then turned back and asked people in the kitchen what the dish was. I recognized the guy as someone who probably has worked there at least a year. A guy works at a Chinese restaurant for that long and doesn't know what dish he's serving or which diners it goes to?! Not going back. At home I tore up the take out menu and threw it out. There are other places nearby. Reply to owner's reply: This seems like a good opportunity for customer service improvement. If the person who told me that would've said what you said for example: I'm sorry sir but I can't take your order because we are backed up with 30 orders from people who ordered two days ago.
