There are times on an overcast wintery afternoon when you just feel like having a warm plate of Chinese cuisine. Today was the perfect kind of day for it and we ordered delivery from Red Dragon Express in Magna. It was delicious. We had vegetable Lo Mein, veggie fried rice, Veggie noodles, steamed veggies, Buddha with bean curd, and steamed rice. Each dish was a delight. First time coming here. I thought it was pretty good. Not the absolute best Chinese food I've had, but better than most! I got the generals chicken and egg rolls. The chicken tasted like it had actually been recently friend and was nice and crunchy, as well as the egg rolls. I don't think these people have ever tasted their food. First things first. They changed their name, or they're a new business. The old name is still on a run down sign outside the building. So, if you're new to the area, you'll have a hard time finding it. Now the worst. I ordered shrimp egg foo young. I have eaten here several times. It is not the greatest, reminds me of a fast food Chinese restaurant like Panda Express. I am a shrimp lover so I am sure that is what I got. My daughter loves the place and some of what she gets if the Orange Chicken and the Pot Stickers. They are both good. The only thing that I have tried that I don't like is the noodles. I prefer the thin noodle way more than the fat ones. Their prices are good, comparable to others. The customer service is good. read more

This place is pretty good.. we order from here probably 2-3 times a month. This time was very disappointing... ordered online and a hour and a half later no food. I called to inquire about order and I could tell that they had not even started to make it. Over an hour later passed again (now waiting over 2.25 hours for our dinner) and still no food had yet to arrive. Not a good experience or even a courtesy call to let us know it would be late! Nothing or even an apology. We will definitely think twice before ordering here again unfortunately. read more

This is probably the worse Chinese meal I've ever eaten. Ordered potstickers, hot and sour soup and orange chicken. Very disappointed. Delivered with no utensils of any type. Really? My notes indicated I was at a hotel. The only thing that tasted half decent were the potstickers. Everything else went to the trash. WHAT A JOKE ***Order here if you want*** *Poor/rude customer service *Cold food *With holding your funds without reason, should you cancel order. *Chance of food poisoning I've ordered from Da Ming before, but will absolutely NEVER order from them again after my last experience. After placing my order of around $70.00, I was contacted by an extremely rude man, and was informed that because my 7 year old requested, "no vegetables please" on her entree, that it would be an additional charge and would be and I quote " barely any food at all",without vegetables. I asked why?? If I'm already paying 70 plus dollars, wouldn't they do this? Add a little extra? I'm paying..? For a reoccuring customer? These questions made the rude sob at Da Ming get REALLY mouthy at this point, so I told him cancel my order. (Panda Express was half the price, and they did no vegetables for free) I will get food else where. This was on Thursday....the charges of 72.37 are still PENDING on SUNDAY. What a joke. read more

We've been having these folks deliver to us for almost two years. Their food is very good, but over the past few months they've been having delivery issues. Sometimes it's delivered by restaurant employees, and other times it comes via Door Dash (so they said). Once in a while it's hot, but in recent months only warm, and sometimes incorrect. But this week's experience was the worst we've had with them. When we ordered (about 5:00 p.m. on a weeknight) they told us about 45 minutes. At the 90-minute mark I called to see what was going on. They said the driver had already left. 20 minutes later (we live 10 minutes from the store) we still hadn't seen anything so I called again. They then told me that the driver was delivering four other orders on the same trip, so I asked if the food would be warm. They said it would be. About 10 minutes later the driver arrived. When we opened our order everything was cold, and the soup was very cold. Not sure if we'll try these folks again. This was kind of the last straw after a few months of problems. To the restaurant: If you can't get the food to your customers in 45 minutes then DON'T tell them you will. And no matter how long it takes to get there, it needs to be hot. If you can't handle all the orders that are coming in then at least be honest with your customers so they can get something else. Don't mislead them into believing that their food will be delivered hot and in a timely manner. read more

Imagine our surprise when we walked into the restaurant to find not the pleasant strong aroma of freshly made Chinese food, but the pungent odor of raw sewage. Yep, that's right, it literally smelled like crap in there. If we hadn't already ordered our food online, we would have walked out. The food this time was also not up to par. The Mongolian beef was almost literally nothing but onions. The sweet and sour shrimp was okay, but the breading was way too thick. The cheese wantons, however, were tasty. Have ordered from here about twice a month since reopened from Covid. The food has been well prepared and fresh. Last night I ordered lemon Chicken dinner and sweet & sour Chicken dinner. I've been ordering from this place ever since moving nearby 5 years ago. I keep coming back to this place, and I will continue to do so in the future. The food has always been good, and I've always been happy with the service. Not very expensive. The meals are such a good price for the food you get. I've tried a lot of different items, but the General Chicken is always my favorite. Whenever my wife asks if I want Chinese, I already know she wants to order from here. We usually do delivery, but it's just down the street so it's not an issue to pick up. The Family Dinner for 4 has way more food than 4 people eat, which is great because I like taking the leftovers to work. Great deal for the price. I highly recommend it. read more

This place has been consistently good, in my opinion. I would have given this place 4 starts but the delivery boosts it to 5. Is it the best Chinese food? No. But it doesn't disappoint either. We have tried the chicken chow mein which was so tasty! The chicken curry was just okay but not bad by any means. The beef with straw mushrooms was very good! I want to try everything on the menu. The chicken friend rice is also very good. If you have a Chinese food craving and you don't want to drive to get it, this is your place! They are awesome. read more

This is our 'go-to' for take-out Chinese. It's more of a 'fast food' genre, but that's exactly what I like. We've had a few issues with getting the wrong order or waiting some time for the order. Also, delivery is a little slow and they charge extra for my area. But I still love Da Ming! The lo mein isn't what I expected, but the sesame chicken and pon pon chicken are great! Good prices for the amount of food and the daily combo special is more than enough food for one. read more

Not sure what their definition of spicy is. I've ate here several times and have yet to taste something that's actually spicy. I'm also not sure what the difference is between their orange, sweat and sour, hot and spicy, and Szechuan sauce is. They almost taste identical. If spicy food isn't for you their okay.
