We've enjoyed this place in the past, which makes this experience disappointing. The staff has always been kind and polite, and our first visit was genuinely great. Unfortunately, this most recent order missed the mark. The Mushroom Chicken was extremely hot... hot enough to melt the Styrofoam container and burn our tongues. I'm also not a fan of Styrofoam packaging in general, so that added to the concern. The fried rice, on the other hand, was room temperature, which made for a pretty stark contrast. The Sweet and Sour Pork was very good, but the Egg Roll was so greasy that the oil pooled at the bottom of the bag and then on the Styrofoam container. It was a lot of cooking oil draining out. It's sad to say, but this may be our last visit. I hope this feedback helps, because the people here are wonderful, the portions are spot on, and our first experience showed they're capable of much better. read more

Delicious. We've been looking for someplace that has ham egg fu young with gravy. We use to get it from a place that's been gone for a long time. So when we saw that they had it here we had to give it a try. And it is very close to the same. It is delicious. Everything else we tried was pretty good as well. I finally tried this place last night, got take out so I didn't take pictures. I got curry chicken, asked for them to make it spicy, it was not so guessing they don't do spicy at all. I also ordered subgum chicken chow mein Cantonese style which says comes with snow peas when you order Cantonese style, it did not. Don't know if they forgot them or it they really don't use snow peas and their menu is wrong? But it was pretty tasty no matter. I also ordered the house fried rice, I liked it and I got the paper wrapped chicken appetizer. It was good. I wasn't blown away by anything, they did use good quality meats which I appreciated and I would rate them slightly above average as far as Chinese food options go. I'm very familiar with the food served here as the head chef used to work for the magic wok. My dish was hot and served very fast, so that's pleasing. The food isn't salty or spicy, so that should suit most everyone. The seating area has a few booths and several tables. The staff are very nice kids. I went in on Tues afternoon. I just did a to go order, but you can call ahead or also order through doordash. The girl at the front was very kind! It was my first time and recommended to me by a friend so I took some time looking at the menu and she was diligentin her phone calls until I was ready to order. I ultimately got Dinner #4 - this meal is said to be enough for two people and it's $25, I think this can be good for 3 people at the very least! Even my teenage son didn't finish it with me and my boy can EAT! we also got an order of Orange chicken which was about $15. The food was great! The orange chicken was sweet and had no kick to it, but it was crispy, so for that I'm giving it a thumbs up! The Lo mein was AMAZING packed w flavor and the ham fried rice also TOP NOTCH! Sweet n sour pork was the usual you would find anywhere, but what I appreciated was that they gave you the sauce separately, so that you can control the amt you want AND it didn't get soggy on the drive home. Christmas Eve it was only place open. We asked if they were open. At the counter there was 2 Asian girls & 1 Caucasian. They said for takeout only. No biggie. I asked the Caucasian manager if they would let us feed our baby inside. The manager promptly said yes and was very kind. She told us to take our time. We ordered sesame chicken and Kung pow chicken. Both which was very good flavors. Good amount of food. The place is modest but clean. What you would expect for a typical Chinese place. The reason for only three stars is when I asked if there was silverware inside the Asian girl said no. And when she brought me the two forks I requested she only gave me 2 napkins. Like literally 2 napkins. I didn't say anything because I had wipes in my baby bag but That's really odd. Why would you not provide silverware & adequate napkins when preparing takeout? maybe she was the owners daughter? So they were trying to save paper cost? Thankfully I asked, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to eat our food. And what if I was taking this to work? Think about it this way the reason I'm paying for take out even if I'm eating at home is because I don't want to wash dishes. There was also only one tiny takeout box of rice. Rice is cheap... I've only ever done takeout at this restaurant but it's always amazing food and done fairly quickly. They even offer text messages to let you know when your food is ready. We really love the sesame chicken, the pork fried rice, the cream cheese wontons and the spring rolls. We recently got the Kung pow chicken and it was also really good! Arrived hot and steaming, the chicken chow mein was delicious, all the veggies tasted so fresh and crispy, good amount of chicken too. The pork for the sweet and sour was enormous! Such good value! I wish I had ordered extra egg rolls, I didn't find them too greasy, and they tasted great. We have ordered before, and find that the set dinners are good value, lots of food, fed three of us last night, and left-overs tonight! Amazing customer service. Have eaten at the restaurant, but typically do delivery orders. Since becoming a delivery customer, all I need to do is call in and they know exactly what I want, and how I like it. My regular order is the Dinner 'F' consisting of Fried Shrimp, Beef Mushroom, Fried Rice and Chow Mein ~ Cantonese style. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either add an additional order of Fried Shrimp, or order an Egg Roll, or order an Egg Flower Soup. Personally, this is my kind of Chinese food ~ very similar to what I grew up with (South Seas in Midvale, Utah). So, it's an overall great comfort Chinese food for me. I enjoy their pleasant customer and ease of ordering. As with many Chinese delivery locales, Lucky Chen gets extremely busy on Friday & Saturday nights - so do expect a waiting period. However, I've never had to wait longer than an hour and a half ~ but have now learned to order early on the weekends. Enjoy!! read more

I'm not a needy customer. But she never checked on us, and we waited and waited for our check and to go boxes. She was nowhere to be found. So I asked the host for them. I'm half Chinese myself so when I do order Chinese take out I'm super skeptical. Lucky Chen is alright I just feel like they Americanize a bit too much to the point it doesn't even taste like Chinese food if that even makes sense. I only come here for their soup and cream cheese wonton. Nothing more. I was kind of disappointed when I ordered one of their "crispy noodle" with beef and veggie dish originally it should be real noodles that is cooked crispy but they gave me a bag of chips instead of the actual noodles so that was very disappointing. Oh forgot to mention they're overprice so if you consider this place cheap then you don't know what good Chinese food is. read more
