One of, if not the best burger I've ever had. I was very well satisfied after the mushroom burger and fries. The fries were also some of the best ever. You can tell every piece of their food items is thought out and delicately taken care of. 5 stars. read more

Wonderful restaurant! Don't miss the fries. Prices are a real bargain. The quality is amazing. In fact most (if not all) of the food is raised/grown onsite. There's a great self guided tour that was really educational and super interesting. Lines are sometimes long because it's so good - but they move quickly and are worth the wait. read more

One of the best and most unique establishments I've been in. Burgers are excellent, fries, meh! But their chips are worth it. Sit outside and watch cows. (Aka tomorrows burgers) Fed a four top for less then $80 including libations, read more

We stopped in on our last day in town heading to the airport and it did not disappoint. Was the best meal we had all week. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I got the steak sandwich and ate every last bite of it. The scenery is beautiful and they do a good job of keeping you socially distanced. The staff was very friendly too. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Not a huge selection on the menu but what they serve is fantastic. Farm to table style food with burgers and sandwiches. The scenery was just as amazing and the kids enjoyed walking around the farm. The chokeberry jelly was my fav! read more

Great ambiance and stunning views from the porch. Loved the goats! Fries were a bit bland and needed some salt/pepper, but none to be found. BLT was a disappointment - all bread with only two tiny pieces of bacon. I definitely recommend the burgers, they were delicious! read more

My family and I recently had a week long trip in Durango, CO. We were staying at the Lodge at Tamarron and this little restaurant was only 5 minutes away. It's placed on a beautiful hillside where you can see the dairy cows and you can even go in and hang out with two friendly goats, Snicker & Doodle. Out of our 7 days on our trip we ate at James Ranch Grill 4 nights because it was so amazing! The roasted beet salad was to die for and the burgers were delicious, all of their ingredients coming from their own ranch or being locally sourced. There is also a little market. The ambience is indescribable, all the picnic tables outside and we were lucky enough on our last night there was a live band playing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone over in the Durango area because it's a once in a lifetime experience! read more

What a delightful place! The food was tasty, too. We loved eating here and touring the ranch after.

Wow! The new structure is amazing. Sane great views, but expanded menu, now beer and wine, updates systems, and beautiful building that can host in inclement weather. We are locals and impressed, but if traveling through you just make a trip to James Ranch. read more

Burgers were juicy. It was a busy night, but the river side atmosphere made for a lovely, relaxed wait.

Great ingredients, fantastic taste, super friendly staff. I'd say this place is perfect except it can get busy.

Relaxing burger stop and store. Great green chile burger with avocado. Grill cheese on focaccia was also tasty. Great lunch spot with gorgeous outdoor views. read more

Nice place for a meal at a picnic table outside with music. Good beer selection. A bit crowded and long waits for food so don't go if you want a quick meal. read more

Awesome grass fed burgers and other cool choices in a relaxed and beautiful family Ranch setting in the Animas Valley! A short drive North of Durango up beautiful HWY 550. read more

If you love fresh food and have a craving for the best burgers in Colorado, this is your place! The staff is friendly, the burgers are freshly made to order using only the finest ingredients, and the setting is beautiful. I highly recommend the blue cheese bacon bbq, and the signature burger. But whatever you order, you can't go wrong. Visit their gift shop while your there or take your children to pet the goats. Homemade cheese can be purchased on the premises. It's a really charming, fun place for the whole family to spend the afternoon. read more

Legit burger!! I wish they were closer to town, but it makes it a special treat :) I came here once before winter set in and it was beautiful! The outdoor seating is awesome because you can sit beneath the trees and enjoy the scenery. We petted the goats in the pen near the benches then watched the cows in the field. They bring your food to your table so all you have to worry about is getting your condiments (ketchup and mustard to the right of the ordering area) The first time I tried James Ranch my burger was a bit too pink in the center, but this time around it was perfect! I love the fresh veggies that come with the burger too; the pickles have a delicious crunch. Since the weather turned cold they set up a tent to the side of their mini market which was awesome because we didn't have to sit out in the cold! We warmed up with some yummy potato leek soup (actually not that creamy which I liked), then dug into our burgers (1/3 pound whoaaa). Only downsides: it's kind of a drive and they don't have fries. read more

Loved the food, drinks and atmosphere, but took a bit for food to be served. Be prepared for self service and the parking was a bit wonky.

Had been looking forward to coming here on our vacation. Burgers were ok and fries were good. Expected a bit more for the price. A burger and fries and a little apple hand pie ran $29. Plus when I asked for ranch to dip my fries there was a charge for that. Beautiful scenery and very friendly staff but I probably would not return. I had hoped for the tour but I guess no tours because of covid(?). Also kind of surprised to pay $9.50 for a plastic glass of Chardonnay ‍pretty place with pretty good food. read more

Fresh and delicious in a lovely setting! The bacon on the burger was unbelievably good

Great place. Beautiful views. Good food. Great little store in front too!! Cheeses, meat, ready meals, great stop on your way up the mountain read more

Good burgers-- meat, fresh toppings, cheese and freshly baked buns. The fries, unfortunately, were too well done. The concept of using fingerling potatoes is great, but they were (2 times) literally fried to a crisp. Staff was friendly in both the grill and the market. Would recommend and will be back when in the area. read more

I wasn't fan of the burger, especially when mine had a lot of nerves inside the meat. The rest of the party liked theirs. We did go back another day and this time I had the BLT. Fries are delicious! It was amazing and fresh. Service is quick and nice. You also can't beat the patio seating that overlooks the Rocky Mountains. read more

If you want the highest quality food, amazing farm to table, look no further. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The setting is one of the best in all of the southwest! Wow!! You get to eat outside with so much space! And the food! We had a burger, the steak sandwich, corn, and slaw. Probably the best burger ever. You don't get more local than this -- anywhere we've been at least. The burger was the softest and juiciest. I had a rose from a vineyard and Colorado and was pleasantly surprised. When we went they texted you when your order was ready, so you can sit and enjoy the pond and greenery, or browse their store that was full of fresh produce, cheese, meat, sweets, and local gifts. A must see! read more

The atmosphere is amazing with outdoor dining and the goats snicker and doodle. However, the food was overpriced and underwhelming. The burgers and fingerling fries are delicious. They tell you the burgers are cooked medium; all of ours came out medium rare. My recommendation is to order them medium well, if you want the burger pink/ not raw. The inside out grilled cheese is amazing!! Love the atmosphere; found the service lacking. read more

Everything was great. We had the Inside out melt, signature burger, green chili burger, and the hotdog on a stick plus fries. Delish!! I like that they took the time to hand make the lemonade and made it delicious too! The inside out grilled cheese was also delicious. It was very flavorful and the cheese outside was very yummy! read more

One of the best meals I had while in Durango. This was a great find. Harvest Grill and Greens is a food truck located on the James family ranch. The ranch and the food truck are family owned and operated. They offer up a farm-to-table menu with most of their items coming directly from one of the family farms. I had the Signature Burger with Yukon gold roasted potatoes. The potatoes were good but the star was the BURGER. It was cooked perfectly to my liking, medium, and was so fresh! It was served with caramelized onions, lettuce, Belford cheese and an incredible rosemary-garlic mayo. It was served atop a nicely toasted bun that provided a great subtle crunch. My only regret was that I couldn't try more! I really enjoyed the food, the staff and the atmosphere. I will be back as soon as possible. Happy eating. :) read more
