Staff is very efficient seating us immediately and serving our food in a timely manner. Restaurant is decorated very nice and is like most brewpubs . Food was very good and is worth a second stop in the future.

This is a must visit in downtown Durango! Super walkable and plentiful street prkg make this spot easily accessible! Bar staff were super friendly w/fast service! Definitely rustic mountain vibe, which is perf for the location and beers were true to style! They open at 11am, which is great, if you like me you wanted to get a flight in before your actual flight! Old Oak Amber 5.5% Munich Dunkel 4.4% Black Bear BBA Stout 10.2% Big Bike DIPA 7.8%

This was our second trip to Durango. And our second trip to Carver! Food is really good. The beer is solid. They are in a great spot on Main Street so plenty to do before and after walking past numerous coffee shops, restaurants, and cool little shops with everything you could possibly want.

We had a great time in this brewery, enjoyed very much the Green Chile Chicken Pasta even if mine came with almost no chicken or maybe no chicken but the flavor and seasonings were spectacular and I would go back just for the same. We were seated in a basement like place and when I asked about the patio it turned out it was reserved for a private party Beer was good, nothing to write home about but traditional from a brewery took one for the lack of protein Can't say anything bad about the service, she did very well

Local beers. Amber ale and I can't remember lol

We came here on a NYE day time and the place was PACKED. we opted to sit at the bar. The bartenders were amazing and very friendly despite being super busy. We ordered their chipotle steak nachos and shared them. It was soooo delicious. The portion was very filling. Great selection of local beers too.

We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our drinks and food order was taken and also served to us within 10 minutes. We did come at opening 11am and left by 11:50. Great service!

My band, RELAAY, was recently on tour and had a show in Durango. We walked along Main Street, looking for a restaurant with several options, and ended up at Carver Brewing Co. It was a Wednesday night around 7 p.m., and the place was quite busy. Although our server was responsible for many tables, he did a great job welcoming us, checking in throughout our meal, and making sure we had everything we needed. I ordered a burger with no bun, zucchini, and Sidewinder fries, and it was delicious! Everyone in the band ordered different items and was equally impressed with the portion sizes and quality of their food. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Multiple options for gluten free food and gluten free beer. The food was excellent, good portions and fairly priced. We had a great server, very friendly and personable. They even offered several samples of the gluten free beer.

Solid place for lunch if you're in the mood for burgers and beer. We stopped in and sat at the bar which seemed quicker than waiting for a table (there's indoor and outdoor seating). The bartender was welcoming and offered samples to help us decide what we were in the mood to drink; my husband opted for one of the IPAs which he really enjoyed, and I had a ginger beer which was light. For food, I had the green chile burger, and my husband had the tatanka (a buffalo burger). The burgers are smash burger style and hit the spot. You can choose between chips and salsa or fries or upgrade to another side.

Nice little place. We enjoyed a couple of beers and salads with salmon. Yum. Next time I'll save room for bourbon blonde ala mode.

We came here for dinner after a weekend of backpacking. The menu had some unique things on it and my husband liked the beer he got. My food was good and came out quickly. My husband got a dish that had chips and salsa and it was very clearly just store bought. But the meat that came with it was good. Even though the food came out quickly, the service was very slow, despite it not being that busy. My water was never refilled and we had to sit around for a while and try to find the waitress to get our check.

Another really good dinner here last night. We sat out in the beer garden on a cool night. Like last time, we both enjoyed a few of the nutbrown ales. We started with the pretzel, which was hot and yummy. We each could've eaten our own. From there, I had the chicken sausage green chile pasta, which was rich and delicious, while my wife enjoyed her Mac and cheese. She had hoped it'd be a little bigger, but that just left more room for ice cream later. Service was fairly prompt throughout. Good beer, food, and service.

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.

Having frequented this place many times, I'm always amazed at the painstaking lengths that the owner went to provide a pleasant dining experience, good food, high quality ingredients, and a pretty excellent value relationship-- Only to hire incompetent servers. Tonight I was placed alone next to a window, with the server barely spending more than 10 seconds waiting on me--in 50 minutes. Instead, he doted over all of the large groups in my vicinity, promised me a refill on the iced tea, watched me sit there waiting for 30 minutes for a refill, and never provided such. You got it. When I was handed the electronic payment machine...Yupp... he literally stares me down like a back alley shakedown artist. In addition to wearing a scuzzy unkept beard, not advisable for food servers, right?, he actually seems visibly upset when I gave him 16% tip, even asking me "was something wrong?" I know that we are in a small town, and Durango is feeling its growing pains, transitioning from a mountain/railroad rural tourist haven to a high profile mountain resort. But this was so obvious, that it ruined the experience. The burger was well executed and had a nice patina, offering a rewarding crunchy patty exterior. The marinade the patty was placed in was great as well. The bun was high quality and so too was the blue cheese and fried onion strings.

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.
