We stopped at Ska Brewing with our family after a rafting trip in Durango and it ended up being the perfect post-adventure stop. We sat outside and really enjoyed the relaxed, open-air setting. It was a great place to unwind after a day on the river. The atmosphere was very casual. We ordered food and drinks and spent time just hanging out together. The beer was great, and doing a flight made it easy to try a few different options before choosing a favorite. We enjoyed their Bavarian pretzels, pub chips, and flatbread pizzas. Overall, Ska Brewing was a great family-friendly stop after rafting. It's a fun, casual brewery with good beer, good energy, and a welcoming outdoor space. Definitely a spot we'd come back to if we're in Durango again. read more

JP was 110% on top of his game for whiney adults and children: sunburned, hangry and indecisive...made the whole thing a blast. Of course you can't beat the ambience at Ska brewery. Any place that has a dog patio, is my kind of place. Several to choose from in Durango, but when you're in Durango, you have to check out Ska. It was a bit hazy outside from the wildfires, therefore a lot of us were inside. We both had a tropical hazy IPA, delicious. My husband had the brisket sandwich with fries and salad and I had the vegetarian pizza. Cannot be the dough for the pizzas. Really really good. Come to Ska and check out a local favorite. read more

First time here. Wasn't terribly impressed. After deciding to sit outside, we then waited a long time for someone to come greet us. After being unsure if we needed to order inside, I went to ask and was told rather curtly that someone would be by shortly. She eventually showed up. We tried a few beers, and none really wowed me. We ended up with a pinstripe red each. Waitress never really came by after yo check on us or to see if we wanted more. I can't say I really ever felt like they cared if we were there or not. Heard great things about the pizza here. Sadly, they weren't serving food on the day we visited. We did try their beer. I had the Modus Hoperandi IPA and hubs had the Tropical Hazy IPA. This was our second visit and we were just as happy as we were with our previous visit. We were seated quickly by our server Nellie who greeted us with a friendly smile and got right to work to make sure we had what we needed. She brought a water bowl for Dex and gave us great advice for our drinks and our meal. The food was amazing we shared a bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup and pork tacos. On our way home to Pagosa from Ouray we decided to stop and have some beer and dinner. The brewery was pretty cool and the food was delicious. The only drawback was the beer. They had beer on the menu that wasn't on the board and vice versa. There were a couple of beers that I wanted to try that I couldn't. I've wanted to visit Ska Brewing for years (since trying my first brew of their's back in the early 2000's). The location was great, the staff friendly, and the outdoor seating area shaded and welcoming. The beers I tried did not disappoint (SW IPA and their Amber (Red) Ale). Good was tasty (pulled pork sandwiches, pretzel "bites", and queso and chips. For earlyish on a Saturday - there was quite the crowd and turn-over of tables outside. Parking is good for this spot, bathrooms were clean and stocked, and the tables inside seemed sufficient for the space (the day was too nice to be inside!). If you are in Durango, make sure you check out Ska for a beer or two. read more

Pretty cool bar and establishment. I went here and our waiter was great. He took good care of us and I enjoyed the ambience of this place. We biked in and they had lots of outdoor and indoor seating. The only problem I had was the food. My sandwich was not the best tasting and the soup wasn't the best either. It was a little smaller than I expected and the salad came out with the wrong dressing on the side. I enjoyed looking at the unique merchandise they had to offer and my dad grabbed a sticker since he loved the pizza and the beer so much. read more

Ska Brewing has both indoor tables and patio tables. We managed to get a table for 6 on July 4th. Dogs are allowed on the patio. I love the Modus Hoperandi IPA. Friends enjoyed the Mexican Logger, and the seltzers. My partner and I enjoyed the spinach salad with chicken and one of the cheeseburgers. Everything was delicious. The server (don't remember the name) was friendly, attentive, and checked on us periodically. The brewery does have an outdoor stage so they must have music on some nights. Visited Ska last week with my girlfriend, before heading back to Albuquerque. This spot is a must if you're ever in Durango! Great beers, cool vibe, excellent food selections and that MERCH is hard to stay away from. I ordered the Guava IPA which was a good 9/10! Shared a pizza with my girlfriend, and totally hit up that MERCH room. Got some pint glasses for my homies, a sweet Fanny pack for me (can't wait to rock that in the summer! A couple first responders recommended we try out Ska Brewing before we left town. They have a great selection of IPAs, stouts and other beers it's difficult to choose just one! I came in alone, I was in town for work from Gran Junction. I have always enjoyed ska but I was completely floored by the way I was ignored!!! Family's and couples were always asked how things were. Do you need anything, how's the food etc. It took 40 mins for my order of a single flat bread pizza and a to go order. Seems to me they just wanted to hurry up and close. The time I arrived was 6:15. Of all the breweries we hopped while in Durango, Ska was by far my favorite. Off the main street, it the property had a lot of area for guests to spread out. The patio was full, so we sat inside, and enjoyed the lively environment at the bar. I was intrigued to read about the brewery's history on the menu and loved the story behind the name. The owners do a great job of threading the branding throughout the business. Each can has a fun, unique design that makes you want to pop open them all just to try a sip! Naturally, I had to have a flight so I could do just that. I enjoyed them all and was excited to see this brewery's presence around many of the other Durango spots we hit along our stay. I gave this place the benefit and bumped my review up, but realistically would have only given this 3.5 stars. With the only negative pretty much being the service. Our waitress pretty much made it seem she was doing us a favor by even waiting on us, and not like that's literally what she's getting paid to do. The service was incredibly slow, food being brought out randomly and after very long, and then she was literally rushing us out from the table once we were done. But aside from all of that, everything else about this place was awesome. The setup they have outside with their patio, as well as the container up top, were a great area to take in some mountainous views in the background. The food itself came out in pretty good portions and everything was pretty tasty. And on top of all of this, I think it was very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. read more
