"The work is the curse of the drinking classes." On the corner of Main Avenue and W 7th, it has high ceilings, live music, dressed up female severs. My Beretta Pinot is yummy, so is the veggie quesadilla.

The ambiance was fun, there was a live guitar player/singer who did a great job. The meatloaf was fantastic and the veggies were delicious. This is not something I would typically order. So glad I did. Waitress was great!

My friend and I shared a veggie quesadilla and it was delicious! Then indulged in the bourbon bread pudding. To die for! And to top it off there was a really good live band (on a Sunday evening!) The old west saloon atmosphere made for a good time.

The atmosphere of Diamond Belle Saloon is absolutely iconic. There is a live piano player playing classic tunes like Ragtime Cowboy Joe as well as some Billy Joel/Elton John medleys, the servers are in period authentic clothing on theme with the saloon vibe, etc. The drink I got (Electric Tea) was good! Not the best cocktail I've had though and a bit overpriced, the same can be said for the food too. My mom got the chicken pot pie and I got the french dip. Both were difficult to eat with ease but delicious nonetheless. I'd definitely come back but probably just for a drink and an appetizer, not a full meal.

Stopped in here for lunch and visit a piece of Durango history; it really has the look and feel of the Old West. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. Our tasty beverages came right out. We shared a French Dip sandwich, salad and clam chowder. Everything was tasty but standard.

Just had a "light lunch" of two big salads. I enjoyed the Southwest Cobb and my wife, the Main Avenue. Both loaded with grilled chicken and really sharable if you chose to do so. The restaurant, has a large menu and is in the Strater Hotel, a historic old west building with multiple restaurants. Waitresses dress as saloon girls to add to the western flavor. A great stop in Durango to relive the past.

Place is like an old time saloon from the late 1800s. Even down to the outfit Eva our waitress wore. Eva was priceless. Kidding with us. She was running all over and still great service. We were just grabbing appetizers so it was veggies with hummus and chicken quesodillas for the 3 of us. Ice tea to drink. Great place. And make sure you tip Eva well. She was great

Our food was great. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend the burgers. My daughter got tomatoe bisque and grilled cheese she loved it.

To put it simply, you must go here! The hotel is stunning. The Belle is just as stunning, if not more so. It's like you've stepped back in time! The pianist was so incredibly talented, it was such a blast to hear him play, and he had a great crowd interaction that made it so personable. Drinks were great -- the old-fashioned could've been stronger, that's my only critique! The Bees Knees was an exceptionally crafted cocktail. Meatloaf was delicious! Tasted very homemade. A wonderful memory!

We came here on my birthday. We aren't big drinkers (or drinkers at all for that matter) so we came for the ambience and food. Great piano player who was kind enough to sing happy birthday to me. Had to return the chicken wings as they were awful. So tough we couldn't eat them. Waitress brought us out egg rolls instead which were ok. Loaded nachos ok. What's interesting is she took off the wings from our bill. Yet when she ran the credit card she must have added her tip because it was 5.00 more. Hubby left additional tip and we couldn't stick around to ask about it. The girls are dressed in period attire and the ambience is great. Hopefully the other meals that came out of the kitchen were better then ours. I'd suggest go for drinks and appetizers and enjoy.

We had found ourselves on a waitlist at some "fried stuff with cheese" restaurant down the street, which nothing at all looked appetizing to me so I vetoed. Got on Yelp, found 636 well rated nearby and the menu looked wonderful. Got here to a healthy amount of patrons and warm ambiance/atmosphere. Service was great despite me being an annoying tourist. I tried every dish we had plus the hot rolls, which have a buttery pimento dip. Everyone agreed that the food was spectacular. Of all the things to love about 636 (which there are many), my favorite is that when I mentioned our anniversary to the lady, she said "Oh! I'll get the anniversary confetti!" Hilarious and endearing. I love Durango already, and 636 made such a great impression. Thank you!

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.

If you are a lover of well done birria, this is your place. Craving authentic Mexican food? Yep, this is your place. We started with their chips and salsa. I think you can tell a lot by the salsa at a place. Lemme just say, I was so very happy! Their salsa wasn't too chunky, not too thin and they are not afraid to season and add some heat - but hey, don't worry it wasn't too hot if you've got a dad like mine who isn't a fan of "too much spice." Such a good omen. I couldn't decide which marg to try so ordered a flight. Best decision ever. Even as I write this, I'm still hard pressed to choose a favorite. They were all so good. Add street tacos, quesadillas for my mom, elote cob, and switch fries for my dad and we were all happy campers. The flavors were obscenely good. Clean tables, and no bugs to bother us. Plenty of room for kids to roam and you are able to bring your dogs. That's a plus! The reason I refused to give them a 5 was their food, which some was good some not so good, sure did not look like the pictures online. We had 4 people, 3 of us each got a different type of burger, the Green Chili burger, the Bacon Blue Cheese and the Bitty burger. Each burger's patty was overcooked and the Brioche bun, which drew me to the burgers I expected to be soft was extremely tough, very thick and dry... so in combination of the overcooked patty and the tough, not soft, bun it was not something I would want to order again, I ended up just taking my patty off the bun and not eating the bun, Very disappointed. My husband and son enjoyed the Roc fries with lots of ketchup, but again overcooked and dark. Some may like it that way. But not a fan and will pass on those next time.
