After a long day of recreating, mountain, biking, hiking, and taking in the sites, we rode our bikes to Animas Brewing Company. Great ride, not too busy, and had a great hazy, great ambiance and service. Come and have a cool down beer after a nice day of outdoor activity at Animas Brewing Company.

Went for breakfast at the Grille upstairs. Service was great- the waitresses were helpful and the breakfast biscuit was great! Loved the view as well.

Stopped for a quick lunch with our doggo on the covered patio area. Nice vibe right on the river. Wings and waffles fries were awesome and service was great!

This lounge is situated inside the doubletree by Hilton hotel and the location is ideal as it has the Tesla destination charger in the complex, walking distance from downtown and if it's too cold for you like it was for me today you can just come here and grab a beer and wait till your car gets charged. Beer is reasonably priced. They have a couple of board games here aswell so a pretty decent place overall.

We've been to the rest of the breweries in the area, so might as well try this one as well. Cute outside area. They're breaking in some new employees, and there were a few issues...getting our beers, something with my credit card, and also our cheese curds getting forgotten. I had to go in and ask about those, and they were just sitting under the heat lamp. Perhaps that's why they were overly rubbery. Not the best. They did take them off the tab, so that was nice. Pretty laid back place compared to some of the others. Might give it another shot the next time we're in town.

Surprising find and experience. Location, location, location. On the river and bike path. Great viewing of the rafter going down stream and people fishing, walking, and biking. A lot of aviary activity too. Good selection of local brews. Service was friendly and good. The pork tacos were delish! Juicy, flavorfull, and yum. Side of onion rings which were well done. Also had, based upon reviews, the fish and chips. Three big strips that were fried perfectly and the portions were easy to eat. The CHIPS (in caps due to the size and quantity), aka waffle fries, were awesome. And they give you a boat load of them. Wanted to finish them but couldn't. Would eat here again.

Located in a hotel, this lounge overlooks the Animas River. It seems to be connected to the restaurant as well. He ordered a beer and we went and sat on the balcony even though it was slightly chilly. I wanted to look at the river flowing through the town. There were ducks fishing for their dinner and the trees with their leaves changing. Idyllic. The server was friendly and amiable. There were some people having a meal and as we left we saw others sitting down. Will have to check out the food next time. It was a pleasant and relaxing rest.

Excellent delicious breakfast with the family, service was superb, and the location of the seating was very nice as well. I will definitely be coming here again.

Animas River Beer Garden. Where you can sip Breckenridge Brewery beers adjacent to the Animas River.

Ate and drank here on my birthday, July 6, 2019. This is a super picturesque location adjacent to the Animas river which was swollen and flowing with all the melting snow. This beer garden is part of the Hilton DoubleTree and they have beer from Breckenridge Brewery. They had a two person live band playing relaxing '70s cover songs. Our waitress was really attentive and checked on us about five times while we were here. I had the best food in Durango at this location. I ordered the Sunnyside Farms Sausage Platter for $19.75. It included: 2 brats of your choice, sauerkraut, red cabbage, 2 soft pretzels, and German potato salad. This dish really filled me up. The soft pretzels were wonderful, the cabbage colorful, and the brats tasted great, especially the hot Italian stuffed sausage. The beers from Breckenridge Brewery were phenomenal. Our favorite was the Mango Mosaic and it had to be in the top three of all beers for our six Colorado microbreweries tour. We wanted to buy a growler or two of this beer, but they don't sell growlers here. I'm thinking it's because of an ordinance prohibiting glass close to the river. I really enjoyed this place, probably because of the proximity to the river, the live band, the great beer, delicious food, great company, and attentive service. Next time we're in Durango, we'll be here again. **Note- they are only open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday until 10 pm.

Best place in durango for lunch on the river. Definitely the place to go if you want a relaxing, outdoor experience on the water.

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.

The steak was incredibly flavorful and practically melted in my mouth. What stood out most was how well everything complemented each other, the seafood, pasta, and steak created a perfectly balanced dish. My husband ordered the Ahi, and it was equally delicious, fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We started with the calamari and were pleasantly surprised when it came with homemade fettuccine. It was honestly some of the best calamari we've had in a long time, perfectly cooked and beautifully paired. Overall, this is a great choice if you're looking for an upscale dining experience with thoughtfully prepared dishes. Definitely recommend.

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.
