Great experience. Spotted the brightly lit sign for "Ernie's 11th Street Station" (11th and Main). We walked in to explore, uncommitted and unsure of what we were getting into. It has an energetic, young (we're not!) vibe, music, indoor/outdoor seating, and a range of good food prepared and served quickly. You order & pick up at several specialty food truck-like stations but the waiter from the bar also circulates among tables. Self-bus your table. They have seating near the action as well as quieter ones to have a conversation. Seemed to work for families with small kids too. Fun place! read more

Great atmosphere, very unique serving style and ordering style. There are fired kitchen options, pad Thai and Curry, and Sliderz and salads. Served from three different types of food trucks. However, service is very slow, had to wait several minutes for our drink order. When food finally got to the table the fries were cold. This is a very cool hangout spot in Durango with lots of drink and food options. The whole establishment is an old gas station with a bar inside and a few food trucks outside. There are a lot of beer and cuisine options (Asian, Mexican, American etc) and all the food we had was great! You can sit either inside or outside and there's also love music at the bar. So...we were excited to find this place. The layout is a little different than we were used to. You order your food from the food truck, give them your table number, and then get your drinks from Ernie's, which sounds simple enough...IF you can get a server to your table. They were somewhat busy, I will admit that. However, we had asked three times before we could even get soft drinks. We gave the food trucks all five stars... This place is like a permanent block party. I had not been there since COVID until yesterday, and was not disappointed. It is a bit confusing to buy your drinks from your server, and then walk up to the various food trucks for your food, but, so what? You can always stay home and watch TV. Had Ramen Noodles from the Japanese food truck and was very happy. In the past, I've had the pizza and the Thai food, and have no complaints. They have excellent, creative cocktails, but I was less than impressed by the beer list; no local Durango beers at all, kind of heavy on the IPAs, and Coors Lite, are you kidding me? The atmosphere and decor is an amazing concept! They have a full bar and 5 food trucks and live music. We've tried the pizza, tacos, sliders, quinoa salad, and sushi. All were tasty and satisfying. Been here s few times. Never had any complaints. Yesterday though they seemed short-handed. Patrons were complaining of slow service with getting their drinks. They also could not serve any of their cold brew coffee mixed drinks because tgey were out of the coffee Been here quite a few times. I give Eleventh Street Station 4-5 stars. Ernie's however 3 stars. If running out of mix for drinks was just a one time thing it would be no big deal. But running out of Bloody Mary Mix on a Sunday at 11:00am? I was told it would be a few hours before they would have any. There are liquor stores and grocery stores all over town and close by. Send someone to get it and take care of your patrons. read more

Got into town after traveling from Utah. Found out quickly that dining options that have "dine-in" are really limited. Thought I'd try Ernie's. I gave it four stars. I would NEVER have given it that during (what used to be) normal times. But the Covid monster is alive and well in Colorado. Ernie's is a heated tent. They can serve you a drink (which was very good) IF you order food from one of the food trucks on the property. I got sushi from the white truck. It was a little pricy, but good. These folks are trying to survive and I appreciate they are doing what they can. The servers were all really nice and patient with me as they explained all the rules. In the end, I got a good meal and it didn't have to be the dreaded room service. But I can't help but wonder - will this madness ever end?? read more

I love this place especially b/c it's about 3 blocks from home; however I have read complaints about bartenders being slow. Well, they are. The bartenders there need to learn how to FREE POUR drinks instead of painstakingly measuring every drop like they do. You can free pour an exact amount without overpouring. This would really save a TON of time. read more
