A great stop for yummy food and well made cocktails. Our servers, Greg and Nicole, were awesome, attentive, and helpful. The patata bravas was the shinning moment for me. Perfectly cooked with creamy aioli. Wow I could eat that every day.

Super fun and cute place. Great food. Attentive and friendly service. Highly recommend!

We split the El Moro Burger and fries and we asked for the burger to be cooked medium. The burger was a little undercooked. The burger was seasoned nicely. The fries were done well ahead of the burger and they were barely lukewarm. We received excellent service from the two young gals working the tables in the bar area. We walked 4 blocks from our hotel to the restaurant. I didn't see their own parking lot. Note: 1. They automatically add a 20% tip to the bill. We almost always tip 20% for descent service. The servers missed out on a higher tip because I was taken back by their policy. 2. I ordered a Sprite and got a refill. I was not told there is no free refills and I did not see this on the menu. I was charge $8 for two Sprites. This added to me not leaving a larger tip. The servers lose out because of questionable policies. 3. I evaluated the food, service and atmosphere on their own merits and these issues did not impact the rating I gave.

Overall a nice place. The burger isn't worth the money. It came out well done and was dry. The ore-formed patty did not have a lot of flavor. Waitress and bartenders were great. Might go again but if you want a burger it is tough to beat Famburger no matter where you go in town.

Food was very impressive, was able to get seated for two. Would eat everything again. Octopus was 10/10. Front of house was a little busy and disorganized on a busy night, did not see server for a long time.

The inside of this restaurant/bar was so cute! The decorations were fun and I loved the historic pictures. They have a large selection of drinks and food options. The Italian Benedict was different and I'm not sure I'd order it again. I wish the bacon pieces were more thinly sliced or maybe replaced with prosciutto to go with the balsamic and arugula.

$$-$$$ This is establishment is found right and downtown Durango, Colorado. We were simply walking down the street when we noticed this pub and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. We were not disappointed, and the food was absolutely delicious. There's indoor and outdoor seating, the ceilings are extremely high, and it is very open air inside with curtains to separate side tables for some privacy. I enjoyed the burger, which was delicious... And as usual, I was unable to eat the whole thing so had an additional meal for the next night. Our server was very attentive and was there only when needed. I would certainly recommend this place for a good meal and great conversation! As always, safe travels

El Moro Tavern is one of the many upscale restaurants in downtown Durango, so is it worth the cost. The charcuterie is a great starter with an excellent selection of meats and cheeses. The breads, mustard, and jam are all great. The seared sea scallops were pretty good. There was a nice sear on them but they could have used a bit more salt. The orzo was fantastic and had a nice creamy sauce. The mushroom tempura was also a fantastic addition to the meal. We also got the lemon garlic orzo which was extremely disappointing. There was no lemon or garlic flavor at all in the orzo. And the orzo wasn't salted enough so all other flavors were muted. You could taste a little bit of some of the vegetable flavors on there but they weren't noticeable because of how unsalted the whole dish was. For dessert we got the chocolate orange cake. The cake was dense, crumbly, and bland. Barely any chocolate flavor in the cake. The frosting at least had flavor but was extremely thick and hard making it hard to get an even concoction with the cake. The orange topping on the cake did add a lot of needed flavor. While some of the items were great, there were too many major disappointments for a place at this price range.

I was really looking forward to having breakfast here based on the reviews, but after 45+ minutes between waiting and sitting at the table without even getting to place a food order, I'd had enough. I think you can tell a lot by the salsa at a place. Lemme just say, I was so very happy! Their salsa wasn't too chunky, not too thin and they are not afraid to season and add some heat - but hey, don't worry it wasn't too hot if you've got a dad like mine who isn't a fan of "too much spice." Such a good omen. I couldn't decide which marg to try so ordered a flight. Best decision ever. Even as I write this, I'm still hard pressed to choose a favorite. They were all so good. She took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go because of a medical condition that prevents me from traveling to high altitudes, and the train climbs to around 10,000 feet. After she left on her adventure, I decided to find some breakfast. While I was walking around town, my aunt called. She and my uncle used to vacation in Ouray every year, so she knows the area well. She recommended Jean-Pierre Bakery, so that's where I headed. I was seated right away and ordered a coffee while I looked over the menu. My waitress was very friendly, and we chatted for a while. She even recommended a few places around town that I should check out. I finally decided on the Croque Monsieur (brioche, béchamel, ham, and Swiss cheese) served with a salad. When my meal arrived, it looked fantastic. The sandwich was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. It was my first time trying a Croque Monsieur, and I really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette paired perfectly with it. After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist ordering a pistachio cream-filled éclair that had caught my eye when I first walked in. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The pastry was very dry, and the bottom was quite hard. It definitely didn't taste freshly made. The pistachio cream had a nice flavor, but there wasn't very much of it. I mentioned my concerns to my server, and she kindly brought me a chocolate éclair to try instead. It also looked wonderful, but it had the same problem. The pastry tasted old, almost like it had been sitting for a couple of days. I would absolutely return for another Croque Monsieur or to try something else from the breakfast or lunch menu because that part of the meal was excellent. As for the pastries, they certainly look beautiful, but based on my experience, I would probably pass on them next time. This would have been a solid 4 star if those eclair had of been good.
