Stopped by for lunch when in Vallecito and we really loved BSB! The food was delicious- split the ranchers plate (I think that's what it's called, a variety of smoked meats) and it was more than enough for the two of us... especially considering we got Mac and cheese as the side lol. Super cute space with inside and outside options (outside is shaded), and while we were there midweek and I'm sure a slower time everyone was very nice and attentive. Liked it so much we bought a pint glass... and promptly forgot it on the counter (because how often do you walk away from a place w one of their glasses right?!). When I called to see if we could pick it up on our way home early the next day they were SO nice and tucked one away outside so that we could swing by and grab it. We had a family get together. Two generations. Parking was easy, got seating during happy hour. Excellent attentive service throughout! Sharon has hearing aids and found the atmosphere too loud for her to hear well. The food portions were ample and very good. We got the ranchers platter and shared it - it was that big! I readily recommend it. The selection of appetizers is weak. We got chips and artichoke dip, and I can't recommend it. Loved the canoe hanging from the ceiling! read more

These folks were super friendly. Location is handy and the outdoor seating is really pleasant with all the shade. Food wasexactly on par with what you'd anticipate from a little microbrewery. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was really good, but the french fries actually stood out for the perfection of being so crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, perfectly seasoned. Food service and vibe are all pretty darn good for a small small town brew pub. The menu, while limited, is executed well. The wings are bomb, the burgers juicy, and the beers refreshing. I go here once or twice a month. Truely a hidden gem in Bayfield Colorado. The owner is really friendly and does lot's of local school sponsorships as well, particularly local music programs for kids. read more

What a great lunch spot. We sat outside under a huge shade tree and even enjoyed conversation with some others seated out there. The beer offerings were diverse amd our meals were served quickly and were hot. Husband had a split order of wings - half hot and half sweet chili. He couldn't finish them but wanted to. Ate here a couple of times while in town for the Durango Rendezvous, food and beverages were okay, nothing exciting.

This brewery is in a small town of Bayfield, in what looks like the downtown area. We sat outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day. The hostess sat us right away, brought us waters, and then our waitress came to get our drink order quickly. I had a Deluxe margarita and my partner ordered a beer. both were delicious! I was so happy to be able to order a delicious margarita at a brewery. For dinner, I ordered the Bomber, which is a pulled port sandwich with peach chutney. For my sides, I ordered mac and cheese and a house salad. Everything was so tasty!! My partner ordered the BSB Dip, which is a beef brisket, with horseradish and dip. along with a salad. He really enjoyed that sandwich. Food was fantastic; service was friendly and quick; and the patio was so nice. read more

It's been quite a few years since I've been here as I live out of state. Couldn't wait to eat and drink here when I came back for a visit. We had a large party that was all meeting within an hour but the staff gave the first arrivers of our party a hard time saying they couldn't be served until the entire party was there. Ummmmm that's how you make your money with drinks and appetizers. I ordered Buffalo Wings and Fried Deviled Eggs. I ordered a full order of wings but only received a half order and they were dry and tiny. Not like I remembered them. BSB used to always be my go to for wings. Very disappointed. The Eggs were good though. Then half way through our visit things became chaotic. They closed down the entrance and wouldn't allow any more patrons saying the cook had an infection on his face and they had to get him to a hospital. So now we are questioning the safety of our food. Pretty sure that wasn't a good way to handle all that. Hope this place gets better. read more

Quaint little place in Bayfield that will surprise you. We went there for a lunch with relatives. Didn't even go inside at first, ate at a wrought iron table outside under a shade tree. Felt like we were on a picnic! Everything we tried on the menu was delicious. The Chips Stacked was definitely a favorite. read more

Traveling through in an RV and stopped based on pictures of the nice shady patio for our dogs. Well apparently this is the one brewery in CO that refuses service to my family. We asked if it was a city ordinance they responded no, just their choice not to allow dogs. Also their choice not to publish this info. Our two dogs weigh 30lbs combined and the patio was empty. Just wanted to let others know so they don't waste time on this establishment like we unfortunately did. read more

Good beer, food and service. Nice outdoor patio. I had the green chile cheese burger and my wife had the fish and chips. The burger was excellent but could have had more chile. The fries were great. My wife said the fish and chips were very good. For beer, I had the IPA and my wife, the lager. Both were good. The service was very friendly and fast. We'll definitely return to BSB. read more

DEEP. FRIED. DEVILED. EGGS! Green Chili Stew = YUM. Brisket, yes - Brisket!, kettle stacked-chip nachos... And a HUGE smoked Rancher's Platter, filled to the brim with pulled pork, brisket, chicken & beer brat, and sauteed mushrooms. When we got done, we almost couldn't get up to leave. Wowza! Oh, and the mask-wearing crew was outstanding while we sat outside trying to avoid the 'Rona. I'll be back someday, and I expect this place will be around for quite some time. Call ahead! Disappointed tried to eat at bottom shelf brewery. Was told there was a 15 min wait. Had to remind the hostess a couple times that we were on the waiting list. After 35 min we got seated inside. Waited 15 more minutes without being acknowledged. A couple of people came in and joined to wait for there table were served drinks. We hadn't even got water. Totally unacceptable/rude Not sure if we will be back!!! read more

Going by all the reviews from local and Yelp we decided we had to try it. Walking up we were told that it wore an hour wait even though there were 16 open chairs at the counter and two open six person tables. After waiting a while and giving the hostess a WTF loo another waitress seated us. They have a small menu but seemingly something for every taste. The green chili cheeseburger was outstanding, local beef , perfectly grilled, just delicious. Green chili bowl and wings were also very good. Nice patio and good service. The beer selection was also impressive, I had two different IPA's that tasted remarkably similar even though the style wa supposed to be very different, I think I was just served the same one twice! Great food and drink, but even better service. We went here with a large party to celebrate a birthday. As is the case everywhere, these guys were a bit understaffed. We found BSB on Yelp looking for a place for lunch before heading up to Vallecito Lake. We couldn't have been happier. We sat out on the patio and were able to enjoy the fall leaves and cool air. The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. They were busy but the food was fast and hot. We had the fried deviled eggs; they were good but really what isn't when deep fried. I enjoyed the brat with just enough sauerkraut to add flavor with over powering the brat. The sweet potato fries are fantastic. My husband had the Bomber, pulled port with a peach chutney. It was superb. The pork was perfectly cooked and the chutney had whole slices of peach that played so well with the tang of the BBQ. And my husband liked the Poor Boaters lager so much we took a growler back to our resort. BSB is one of the little gems you find on vacation and wish you could take home with you. read more
