Great sausage, egg and cheese muffin, made to order. Bought one each.for a friend and her daughter. They went back and got five before they headed back to Denver. Best reuben in town. Really good fries as well. Megan, Andrew and their crew couldn't be friendlier or efficient. Buy local!!!!! read more

Nice staff great sandwich and gyro. The dill pickle that came with it also good. The deli is in a convenience mart/gas station. There is seating inside or you can use the drive through read more

Love this place. I just wish it was open on the weekends and throughout the whole day. They are just a breakfast and lunch place. I love the Barts burger combo, the chef salad and the Rueben. It worth a visit if you haven't tried them! read more

Gas station deli that's good but hectic given the lack of parking and seating inside to eat. Food was great had the Monday special, chicken salad sandwich & the gyro. Ordered with fried & a drink. Recommend the place but it's a dive. read more

Best sandwich shop in DGO!! No attitude; great food , extremely fresh!! Had the gyro!! Best little surprise were the house made potato chips! read more

Great service. Great food. Affordable prices. Always a good spot for quick breakfast or lunch.

Probably my favorite lunch spot, would be nice if it was a little quicker but makes sense for the small little shop it is. Never tried the drive thru cause they look like they're there for an extremely long time. I've only tried 2-3 menu items, but that's a sandwich! Great considering subway doesn't put anything on theirs anymore. read more

Absolutely, one of the best delis in town. I always forget to go there, because it is in such a peculiar place. We had the Friday special last week and it is such a generous amount of everything on their sandwiches. I love the homemade potato chips and the chefs salad very filling for only 10.00! read more

Best hole in the wall gas station deli you can find. Order the Gyro! Almost no wait if you call ahead.

Yummmm.... greeted by a gruff looking guy, but was sweet as ever. He was quick at taking orders as this place was hopping with customers. We had a green chile cheese burger and a turkey sandwich. The burger dripped with juices of grease and cheese and green chile... delicious! The turkey sandwich was so big I couldn't even wrap my mouth around it, it was packed with meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo. Nothing wrong with this place, they know what they are doing! Fast, organized and delicious! read more

You can tell the owner cares about the food they serve. I had one of the burgers and it was excellent. Two slices of tomato! And the house made chips were also very good. I could tell by the small crowd of locals that this was probably one of the best places around. read more

One burger joint to rule them all, and this is it. Seriously. Burgers, sandwiches, dogs, fries. I try something new every time, and love it all. People ask me the best place to eat in Durango, and ALWAYS send them to Bart's. If I had to choose one item, it would be the In and Out burger with mushrooms. read more

This isn't a detailed review, as I only had one item. It's located in the back of a C-store where I stopped for fuel. It was about lunch time and this seemed a good alternative to the McD's down the way. I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered a hamburger with all the fixin's. It was memorable: The patty was nicely thick but not too. Plenty of fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles and the mustard and mayo I requested. Thoroughly satisfying. A very pleasant surprise. I'd recommend anyone passing by to stop in. There were many other items on the menu. Give it a try! read more

I have eaten here for years. This is the hot pastrami sandwich I got today. So much mustard I cant even eat my crappy $9.45 sandwich. And I like mustard but normal amounts. Will never go back read more

Bart's Deli - So much mustard can't even eat - Delis Near Me - Durango, Colorado

Great food! Needs a larger seating and waiting area.Personal we're very friendly and helpful.

I've lived in Durango since 2011 but this is my first time at Bart's. I'm from the East Coast and have lived in Jersey and NY so I'm skeptical of most delis outside the Northeast. The hot pastrami sandwich hit the spot. Next time I might ask for a little more spicy mustard but otherwise it was delicious. The pickle on the side was a nice accompaniment. I used the drive through and was very pleased that the gentleman who took my order, (whom I assume may have been Bart), took the time to patiently answer my questions about the corned beef and pastrami. I won't hesitate to come back again and can't wait to try the corned beef. Wish I took a pic of the sandwich but it was too delicious and didn't last long enough. read more

I visit Bart rather frequently. His morning crew is top notch, the breakfast burritos are fantastic, and my go-to breakfast is a custom grilled sandwich with egg, two cheeses, bacon, sausage, jalapeños ( or green chiles), on sourdough. This freaking sandwich enters my dreams. If you tell the morning crew that you want to try Tyler's sandwich, they will know exactly what you mean. Thanks Bart, Megan, and Joe! read more

Bart's Deli - Custom made breakfast. Best breakfast sandwich in town. - Delis Near Me - Durango, Colorado

What a great place. It's inside a gas station but that doesn't mean a thing. This place is better than a lot of NY delis I have been to in the city. Fresh cut boar's head meats, and they don't skimp on the sandwiches. Our group had the Reuben, BLT, turkey special, grilled cheese and pastrami. All were excellent. Crinkle cut fries accompanied the sandwiches. Bart greeted us and Rachel was very helpful with our barrage of questions and recommendation requests. Keep up the great work! Highly recommend. read more

I've been going to Bart's for a while now and had a horrible experience at the drive-thru. They have the prices listed on the drive-thru board. Ordered a special and went to the drive-thru window and the prices were way higher than what they should be. Ask the manager there what's going on and he says that they have not adjusted the prices because it cost too much money. how many people are getting swindled by this place and almost seems like a bait and switch or misrepresentation of prices. I'll a suggest anybody not to go there. read more

You may want to go somewhere else to get a burger or a sandwich, but you really don't need to. This place is nothing but quality. Greasy, juicy burgers, expertly made sandwiches that have just the right amount of every ingredient. It's almost too perfect. Maybe they are NSA? CIA? read more

Don't let the gas station fool you. Legit simple juicy burger. Always consistent with the food. The menu has plenty to offer. Simply a place that can hit the spot for you and the family they also have a convenient drive-through. read more

WOW! They made a custom made to order sandwich for me. Bart called it the "monster", three meats piled enough for three sandwiches plus! My Italian ancestors would be proud! Just needed a little vinegar and oil and I would have swore I was in downtime NY! Great prices! Excellent quality! Friendly service! A must visit while in Durango! Their burger is off the hook also! Thanks Bart, keep up the good work!!! read more

If you like good customer service do not go here!! I went to go grab a quick bite while on break, after about 10 waiting on my order I asked the cashier about how much longer. She went to ask the cook, also the owner Bart, and was told it was just about done... Perfectly good answer, except he then proceeded to look at me and say "why don't you stare at me, it will make it go faster"...like Dude, I'm just asking because I have to be back to work. So I decided to just ask for my money back because I'm not going to patron an establishment that is rude as hell to the people that are spending, too much btw, their money. Bart then proceeded to throw a ten on the counter, whole time cussing me out and saying "don't f***ing come back again"... Well sir, I have no plans what so ever to ever come back! read more

Stopped by to have oil changed early one morning. Thought a breakfast burrito would be nice. I've heard good things about Bart's in the past, but they totally forgot to make my order. Oil changed and tires rotated long (30 mins) before any recognition I was still standing In line for a burrito. I asked and got my money back with a relatively friendly 'ok'. Staff seemed to be a bit flummoxed trying to get 4 orders complete in the time I was waiting. Guess I can't really review the food, but after this experience I wouldn't bother trying again... read more

Today I ordered my sandwich from the drive up menu. When I got to the window. The price was different that what was on the menu. Girl at window was rude when I asked why there was a difference in the price. Don't charge the increased price before you actually update your posted menu prices. I won't go back. read more

Great food and great service! It's tucked inside of a gas station but with the quality of the food you would have never guessed it. The staff is hilarious and deserves to have a reality show. Best burger around! read more

Inside the convenience store portion of a gas station seems an unlikely location for a deli. However, this place is spot on. Quick service, solid food, and a drive through option for people on the go. Great breakfast burrito and sandwich options makes this a one spot stop for a quick breakfast and a lunch to go. read more

This deli is fine for what it is. We stopped by on our way to ABQ. I got the grilled cheese which was rather luke warm but still decent. My wife got the burger and she said it was ok. The others in the car got the Chicken Pepper sandwich and they loved it. Service speed was fine. This place would actually do well in a non gas station setting. Bathrooms in gas station weren't the best. read more

Road trip and didn't want a "sit down" lunch ... Needed gas and pulled into the Exxon which has Bart's deli tucked in... Hmmm.. Lunch from a gas station?... Turned out ... My family and I were on a road trip from Telluride to Albuquerque and needed a quick lunch stop. Durango unfortunately didn't have much to choose from, so we ended up at Bart's Deli. I had a cheeseburger which was pretty standard. Fries needed salt or ketchup desperately. Other family members got the chicken sandwich special and absolutely loved it. Staff were nice and packaged everything to go for us. Atmosphere was terrible, but overall it was better than expected for a gas station deli. read more
