Denny's #666: A Pleasant Surprise!…read more I've eaten at Denny's before, but this visit was a refreshing change from what I remember. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and I was pleasantly surprised. The burger patties were noticeably bigger than what Denny's used to serve, and the burger was delicious. It was nice to see an improvement in both the portion size and the overall quality of the food. The service was another highlight of our visit. Our server was friendly, helpful, and really stayed on top of everything. He checked on us just the right amount, making sure we had everything we needed without constantly interrupting our meal. That's exactly how good service should be. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. It still has that older, traditional Denny's look, but that didn't take anything away from the experience. Overall, this was one of the better Denny's visits I've had in quite a while. Good food, generous portions, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping in, and I'd happily eat here again!

Nice spot in the back. Service was quick and efficient. I also ordered coffee and it was cold and not very strong. Asked for a hotter coffee and the second one was better but still very weak tasting. Food was good, biscuit gravy was a little thin and not a lot of flavor. The waiter was ok. Never came back and asked how everything was and if I needed anything else. Lighting and noise was fine. Place was pretty clean, although after a family left that had a child that got a lot of scrambled eggs on the floor when they went to clean it up they never moved the table to get some of it up.

I ordered the chicken sandwich combo with original sauce, with a side of mac and cheese. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when we went to pick it up they had a sign saying they couldn't do more orders. One of the things we ordered was in a to go box because they had run out of dishes, which isn't their fault at all. The sandwich was just alright. The sauce was good but there was a bit too much so it was dripping all over the place and covered my hands. The chicken was pretty tough. It took a lot to bite through and it was very chewy. The mac and cheese was fine but tasted a bit like cafeteria mac to me. Overall this was a mid experience. We came at a busy time of day and I suspect mine was the last meal to get a basket instead of a to go box. The food didn't impress me, so I think I'll try a different food truck next time.

We ordered the Tender Combo, this came with three Chicken Tenders, Texas Toast & one side, we chose Caesar Salad. Other side options were Mac & Cheese, Pasta Salad or Coleslaw. The chicken tenders were yummy with a delicious dipping sauce. And the Caesar Salad was tasty - especially fresh & light, the lemon wedge was a nice touch. Good portion size, good price & a great meal!

Located on the main drag leading out of town toward Silverton, it seems popular. There is a small parking lot that we were fortunate enough to find spot close to the door. Upon entering, there is a counter to the left and seating to the right. The seating is bar style, along with tables and booths. My wife chose a chicken salad sandwich and I chose the ham and Gruyere sandwich. They come with, in my opnion, rather flavorless tortilla chips. However, my sandwich is really a panini, toasted on the outside. It was very flavorful with a crunch on the outside due to being toasted but a chewy inside due to the ham and cheese. Really, a great texture, in my opinion. My wife felt the cashier had a bit of an attitude when she needed one of the soda dispensers changed out due to be empty. Like he was put out. Overall, we did like Sage Fresh Eats and would come again.
