While on a visit to see our son in Durango, we stopped by this restaurant to pick up sandwiches on our way to have a picnic. Located on the main drag leading out of town toward Silverton, it seems popular. There is a small parking lot that we were fortunate enough to find spot close to the door. Upon entering, there is a counter to the left and seating to the right. The seating is bar style, along with tables and booths. My wife chose a chicken salad sandwich and I chose the ham and Gruyere sandwich. They come with, in my opnion, rather flavorless tortilla chips. However, my sandwich is really a panini, toasted on the outside. It was very flavorful with a crunch on the outside due to being toasted but a chewy inside due to the ham and cheese. Really, a great texture, in my opinion. My wife felt the cashier had a bit of an attitude when she needed one of the soda dispensers changed out due to be empty. Like he was put out. A few days ago, I ordered a chopped salad with chicken, no croutons, no corn. When I got home, it had both. No big deal. I went in and asked them to remake it. They did. I watched the cashier point to the receipt that said NO CROUTONS NO CORN. Got home. It STILL had both. So I called. I was promised a refund. 48 hours went by. Still no refund, not even a transaction pending in my account. So I went BACK in. I asked them if they could just remake my salad and call it a day (I really love the salad). I got home. While it FINALLY had no corn or. croutons, it also had no chicken. To say I am annoyed by this whole experience would be an understatement. Please do a better job training your employees and actually listening to your customers, because for a counter service establishment, it's not cheap. read more

Lots of healthy options. No problem finding gluten free. Peanut Thai salad was flavorful but the large was quite small, even after adding chicken to it. I got a gf corn muffin for an additional 1.50 which helped fill me up. The chicken was tough and dry, with one of the pieces being all fat. Would selected a different protein! Here's what our party of 4 ordered. - Med Bowl with herb chicken - the red pepper almond romesco really kicks this bowl up in flavor - Green Goddess with tofu - tofu was nicely seasoned - Thai Peanut Salad with Asian chicken - nice range of Asian flavors - Half and half combo with cranberry dill chicken salad sandwich and kale salad (my order) - all super tasty, really love the chicken salad. A lot of food! The portions are ample. Our orders were all half bowls, salads or sandwiches and we were stuffed . All the food is really fresh. Staff was fast and friendly. We'll definitely return to Sage. Parking note: They have a small parking lot that is shared with a few other businesses and gets full. This place offers unique and refreshing options. Everyone except my ten year old ate all their food. My ten year old is a pescatarian who hates cheese, so he is hard to please. With kids, if your kids like cheese it is good option. As far as service, it was okay. The person who took our order was nice but, then it lacked direction. We waited a long time to pay and then waited for food. It seems some regulars may have been there and took up a lot of the staffs time. Thank you Yelp for helping us find Sage Farm Fresh Eats while craving some greens and veggies! We ordered the med and barbecue bowls, both with chicken, and were incredibly impressed. Both bowls were packed with flavor and portions were generous. Prices are not cheap, but we were happy to pay for healthy, locally-sourced, fresh ingredients! We both left saying we wished there were more Sage locations closer to Denver so we won't have to come all the way back to Durango to eat here again...and we definitely will be eating here next time we are in the area....already craving another bowl! read more

What an awesome find on Yelp! After our hike we wanted something healthy but filling and I happened to find Sage Farm Fresh Eats. I had the half TLT sandwich and half of the Thai peanut salad. Both were out of this world and the TLT was possibly the best thing I ever put in my mouth. The focaccia bread it was on is made in house and was totally delicious. The salad was amazing as well and the peanuts they used had some sort of seasoning on them that was so good. Next time I'm in Durango I'll definitely be coming here! read more

My wife and I visited here on Friday, March 18, 2022. We were hungry after skipping breakfast and having just driving into town from New Mexico. I'd read many great Yelp reviews on this spot. They are located in a tiny strip mall on the north end of Durango. I ordered the whole BLT chop salad with a sourdough bread kicker. The salad consisted of romaine lettuce, seasonal greens, bacon, grape tomatoes, corn, feta cheese, avocado, a sliced hard-boiled egg, croutons, and buttermilk dill ranch dressing. All the ingredients were fresh, and the large, crunchy bits of bacon really made the salad. The dressing tasted great and didn't overpower the salad. It was a very large salad, so I'm glad I was hungry. My freshly made sourdough bread had a crispy crust, and the inside had enough moisture to enjoy without any butter or spread. My wife ordered the half soup and sandwich, and you can see her review separately. All together, we paid $28.25, for some filling, fresh, healthy food. They made the food right in front of us, so the service was super quick. If you want healthy, wholesome food and leave filled up, then check out this restaurant. This place is gross. It's rude Staff who cuss loudly and often. Owner who gaslights you when you have complaints. Grains so dry they chip your teeth. Dirty dishes and utensils, gunk in the soda. Request that they temp their hot menu items IN FRONT OF YOU. Food safe temp should be 140°F AT THE VERY LEAST. Their cold line should not be higher than 40°F. Take your food safety seriously. Demand transparency. If they're doing everything right, they shouldn't have a problem with it. It's your gut. read more
