Can't speak to the food we only got drinks. I got a chai and coffee while we were in town. Both were very good, great coffee flavor and plenty of options. Service was kind and friendly took a little time but was worth the wait. The cafe had quite a bit of seating and love the art hanging on the walls. There is bar seating like a diner and then 2 rooms with tables as well.

Great service & amazing food. A little hole in the wall that the locals clearly love! Make sure to try their jam, it's the best I've ever tasted!!

Cute place, plenty of on street parking. Clean, plenty of room to move around. Looks like a place the locals frequent, we were there at 7:45 am on a weekday and it was pretty busy. Great service food was hot and delicious, huge portions. Coffee was great ! Definitely recommend!

Stopped in for lunch, please note this quaint little cafe is also open for breakfast they have quite the array of coffee offerings. My husband and I had the chicken wrap and the chicken salad. The portions are hearty, the prices are family affordable and the food is fresh. My chicken salad came with a good size piece of chicken along with an abundance of fixings, chick peas, tomatoes, avocados, cucumbers and cheese and an ample amount of dressing was provided as you can see from my photo. My husband had the chicken wrap (also pictured) which was filled with chicken, bacon, tomato, lettuce and drizzled with a special Sauce, his order also came with fries all which was quite flavorful. We will definitely be returning to try the Relleno Cristo! The breakfast menu looks very tempting as well. If you are passing through Durango or on your way to Pagosa or Vallecito lake give this cute little cafe a try, you won't be disappointed.

We ate here twice during our trip to the area. Both times the food was great, the service is stellar and we look forward to coming back.

Exceedingly rude staff beyond anything I've experienced before!!…read more I smiled said hello and asked for a half coffee half steamed milk, and the cashier said, "You mean a caffe latte? It has half coffee half steamed milk." I said yes, that would be perfect. Just to be sure, it has half coffee and half steamed milk? And the person said "Yeah" really rudely as if it was bad of me to ask. And the "Will there be anything else", rudely, and repeated it again with an even meaner tone. So I told the cashier that I would not be making a purchase because of the rudeness, and that they were being a jerk. Then I took a photo to show their manager who it was and left. I will never go back, even if they fire the staff. No one like that should be working in customer service and I can only imagine the toxic culture of Artifact 301 / Studio Bake Shoppe to let this happen. I'm still in shock over how rude this person was, and from the beginning after me bing so polite, as if they had some grudge against me somehow. I would love to hear an explanation and an apology but I won't hold by breath

Sadly, my chai tea latte was primarily foam so was disappointed but my friend said her vanilla latte was the best she ever had. 3 stars because we each got a pastry and both were very disappointing. Hers was a cherry turnover and mine was a raspberry danish. There was VERY little fruit in the pastry so it was basically mouthfuls of puff pastry. Blah ! The atmosphere was great with the establishment as coffee and gift shop, art studio-gallery and large meet up area. I give 5 stars for overall but only 3 for coffee shop-bakery.

The vibes are strong here. It nails its rustic atmosphere and has a nice patio to sit out on. It's close-ish to the river, but you're mostly looking at a parking lot. All the other wares very much match the country-chic I think this is going for. I got very much the feeling of "we want to be a Magnolia of Colorado" from this place. Many of the items on sale referenced Root itself, trying to make fetch happen. As for what we got, we got some coffee, smoothies, and sweet tea. I also had one of their energy balls. Pricing was a bit on the high end, even for Pagosa. What was most absurd to me was how much my sweet tea was. Yes, it was good. But for that price, I was expecting a much larger cup. I was left thirsty. It's literally the cheapest thing you could make and not some secret recipe requiring expertise; for that price point I expected more to slurp on. The energy ball was tasty. The coffee, I'm told, was OK. The smoothies matched their price point and tasted fresh.
