Exceedingly rude staff beyond anything I've experienced before!! I smiled said hello and asked for a half coffee half steamed milk, and the cashier said, "You mean a caffe latte? It has half coffee half steamed milk." I said yes, that would be perfect. Just to be sure, it has half coffee and half steamed milk? And the person said "Yeah" really rudely as if it was bad of me to ask. And the "Will there be anything else", rudely, and repeated it again with an even meaner tone. So I told the cashier that I would not be making a purchase because of the rudeness, and that they were being a jerk. Then I took a photo to show their manager who it was and left. I will never go back, even if they fire the staff. No one like that should be working in customer service and I can only imagine the toxic culture of Artifact 301 / Studio Bake Shoppe to let this happen. I'm still in shock over how rude this person was, and from the beginning after me bing so polite, as if they had some grudge against me somehow. Was visiting Farmington, and found this adorable establishment. We were excited to get fresh pastries and a coffee to start our day. Sadly, my chai tea latte was primarily foam so was disappointed but my friend said her vanilla latte was the best she ever had. 3 stars because we each got a pastry and both were very disappointing. Hers was a cherry turnover and mine was a raspberry danish. There was VERY little fruit in the pastry so it was basically mouthfuls of puff pastry. Blah ! The atmosphere was great with the establishment as coffee and gift shop, art studio-gallery and large meet up area. I give 5 stars for overall but only 3 for coffee shop-bakery. read more

Day-um, I didn't anticipate this kinda thang in Farmington! I guess I should preface this by noting that apparently we visited on the last weekend they opened at 9am. The line stretched nearly out the door, and five or six cars sat in the parking lot, so the lazy owners that wanted their damn weekend sleep couldn't pretend to avoid the obvious: y'all serve coffee, wake up early. They're now opening at eight. But anyways. Cool space! It's a barn, kinda, with decent coffee, an enormous space to sip, lotsa tables, local arts and crafts everywhere, very tasty baked goods, friendly sleep-deprived staff. Across the board, this was the best way to start the day in Farmington, even if we needed to migrate to the nearby cafe to satiate our appetites. The place is cool with the potential for coolest. I can finally give something in Farmington a good rating! I've been to Farmington twice now for work (I live in California). Each time I was in town I went to studio bake shoppe for coffee. Both times I had an oat milk cappuccino and it was delicious. I also noticed that SBS is definitely a place for locals to gather over treats and coffee. There are lovely art pieces to look at when you are waiting for your coffee. Support local business! read more

This is a local Favorite location of mine! Not only is it and art studio but they invite you to explore the many studios as they work on projects. The upstairs has a beautiful view and a couple friendly cats. They serve and assortment of fresh coffees, cookies, teas and even lemonades. Perfect for meetings or study work. read more

A favorite in Farmington, located inside Artifacts Gallery, you will find freshly made baked goods every day and excellent coffee drinks! With the recent upgrades to downtown Main Street, this is a great spot to stop and linger--PLENTY of room to safely distance--or just pop in and grab something to go. Ah ok so it's not 302 but the space, THE SPACE!!! Honestly Farmingtonians, you should get coffee here just so you can hang out in the space that I'm going to rant about now. Artifacts is a gallery/store/coffee shop in a repurposed lumber mill. It has high ceilings, an amazing ambiance, art, and lots of different places to sit and do work (I'm talking about that free wi-fi kids) or just bask. There aren't many places to do that in this town, so hit this place up! The baked goods are pretty good. Not as good as before but pretty good. And the coffee well..... I will admit that I have become somewhat of a coffee snob... let's just leave that. The caffeine still works! And it's a local business okay?! F Star-Shmucks and Durango Bros!! Support local! This beautiful building used to be a lumber yard but is now a rustic, cozy, relaxing place to buy beautiful art in the gallery or coffee and pastries in the bake shoppe. I was delighted to see what appeared to be a Kouign Amann (rare French puff pastry) in the case. It turned out to be just a normal puff pastry -- no worries. It was still delightful. Really such a beautiful space, friendly folks at the counter who explained the history of the building to me, and delicious pastries. I loved all the art on the wall and the kids play area. My friend had a hard time finding it because you go through what looks like an artists storefront to get to the coffee shop, but that's part of the charm! We tried the carrot cake, morning muffin, blueberry thing (muffin top?) and quiche. Fantastic! read more

Beautiful space and great atmosphere. What I love most is they serve Huckleberry Roasters coffee (or Huck for short) which is a well-known coffee company in Denver, CO. I see their desire to bring the third wave coffee experience to little ol' Farmington which shows progression and helps build community. They aren't there yet, but they've got a good start. You won't be able to get specialty espresso drinks...yet, but you'll be able to enjoy a great cup of coffee with nice people in a comfortable environment.
