We got both at 50% and less ice because we usually prefer things less sweet and it was the perfect sweetness. The Thai milk tea had the perfect amount of flavor and wasn't watered down. The mango pomelo is a slush but has all sorts of fun toppings in it. You order at a kiosk, so service is a bit removed but they were fast! Love their selection of boba's! We had a fun time during our family Christmas this past year. We purchased 12 different boboas. We had them each put in its own bag and that was our fun "white elephant". I ended up with a Tropical Smash that was yummy, my son liked his brulee brown sugar and the coconut mango pomelo was good! I was inclined to try this drink spot due to many highly acclaimed recommendations by my friends! I can say that I enjoyed the Mango Pomelo Coconut drink which is their #1 specialty drink. I ordered it as 50% sweetness and enjoyed it at that level. It tasted like a mango dessert! There are pomelo bits in the drink as well but it isn't sour at all. The service is good, despite the business the drinks come out at reasonable times. There's in person ordering as well as self serve kiosk. There's a line of chairs that go across the wall and about maybe 5-6 tables. This place gets loud and busy at some times due to large groups but it makes for a social setting and great atmosphere! Jam Jam has already opened several locations in LA, and this was actually my first time trying it! Their logo honestly kind of looks like me haha, same hairstyle and same round face . They specialize in creative fruit and tea drinks, so the flavors tend to be very refreshing. I mainly came because I saw their new drink, Tsubaki Oolong Milk Tea. Since it's camellia season (I even went to a camellia exhibition recently), this one really caught my attention. It features delicate camellia floral notes in oolong tea, paired with their house cream foam, making the whole drink feel very light and smooth. With the recent heat, this was especially refreshing and not heavy at all. Since we were there, we also tried: Green Grape Smash One of their signature fruit teas with real green grape pulp inside. Super refreshing in 30°C+ weather, and the fruit tasted very fresh. Brulee Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea This one is more of a dessert style drink. The caramelized top layer is very fragrant, and surprisingly their boba is really good. White Peach Milk Tea No artificial flavor taste, just a nice floral and fruity peach aroma. A very gentle and balanced drink. Ube Cheese Foam Slush Do you have friends who only drink taro or purple yam milk tea? This would be perfect for them haha. My favorite drink here is the coconut mango pomelo! Reminds me of a mango sticky rice. Rate that drink a 4/5. They also give you a nice cooler bag if you order more that 2. The ambiance is nice and bright and I enjoyed sitting in the lobby. 4/5 For service I would rate my experience a 1/5. I did come on a holiday but one thing I would note down is that I had a sense of worry for the team as a customer. They were getting slammed with both mobile orders and walk in orders that backed up the entire store. There was only minor communication from the staff because of this load and everyone waiting's experience suffered. I felt bad for the team and others waiting. Maybe next time I would suggest closing off mobile orders on holidays so that all the drinks would be called out more fluidly. I found Jam Jam from an event they had hosted last month. They were giving away white peach and gardenia milk tea - I did HAVE to get both because the white peach was delicious. The gardenia was EVEN BETTER! I've ordered the gardenia at least 2-3x after I first tried it. It's a limited edition drink, probably for the summer. I usually adjust the sweetness too and it's perfect. Dare I say, this has superseded Omomo. Lines are shorter, boba is just as great. Drink options are awesome. My favorite dessert is boba/bubble tea. And I'd consider jam jam as one of my top 3 boba spots! (The other two being HNTea and Fourtea.) I'm in Irvine every Sunday for church so I typically stop by here every Sunday afternoon before heading home. Looove the coconut mango pomelo drink here! I usually get it 75 or 100% sweet, if I'm feeling indulgent. For my kids, I'll get it 50% sweet - they still love it. I've also tried the green grape smash and found it too limey/bitter for me (especially if I don't finish it and try it the next day). I haven't tried their smoothies but their flavors were more interesting than Omomo's and HeyTea's. Decent parking and seating. It's clean and cute inside. One of my go-to boba spots in the area. Their signature house milk tea- a ceylon based drink- is my favourite. Most of Jam Jam's drinks are good, though I often dislike the extra toppings or "particles" that are added to some drinks, such as flower petals and parts for I believe their osmanthus milk tea and pieces of glutenous rice(?) in their cheese barley milk tea. To be clear, these teas are good, but the forced extra toppings are only a distracting and negative experience for me. Their drinks are highly customizable, offering 8 toppings, 2 foam types, and 3 types of milk, in addition to typical sugar and ice levels. Though it is mainly a to-go/pickup product, the interior of the store is clean, large, with plenty of seating for chatting and lounging. The seating is nice for when you're waiting for your drink, though service is very quick, so you won't typically be sitting for long. read more

I had this place saved for a while because I spotted the White Peach Milk Tea here! I was told that the Honey Boba option ran out at around 4:30 pm when I came in so I was pretty bummed about that. I got their #5 White Peach Milk Tea and noticed that the milk overpowered the flavor of the white peach tea and also fluctuated at times. My friend had warned me that their fruit teas were better than milk and I should've listened. I tried my friend's fruit tea and it was refreshing! Overall their drinks are good and I would come back to try some of their ones. I tried their mochigome milk tea with barley boba. The mochigome flavor sounded interesting in that it has a mixture of sweet corn and rice. The drink itself is pretty light in flavor. The sweet corn is very subtle but overall the milk tea is enjoyable. I tried the barley boba because it sounded unique and interesting, and I thought it was like a barley flavored boba. However, it wasn't really that. The texture is almost more like a mung bean - the outer shell is quite tough and the inside is grainy, though some parts of it are more gel like ? Honestly, it's a very strange experience. At first I didn't like it, but after I got used to the texture I thought it wasn't so bad. I probably would not get it again though as I thought it would be more bouncy and chewy. I also tried the passion fruit smash. At less sweetness this was still quite sweet. First time here. I was really excited to have something sweet after lunch with my coworkers. We had a long meeting ahead for the afternoon and we all needed a little pick me up. I ordered a Matcha green latte and had high hopes. Unfortunately, it didn't provide the caffeine that I needed for the afternoon. The tea was not strong at all and did not have a very good taste. It was rather bland. I requested it at 75% level of sweetness. I was pretty sad because I recently had Matcha tea at another location which I thoroughly enjoyed and was hoping for a similar outcome. The one redeeming quality was that the Boba was fresh and chewy and I liked that a lot. The service was OK and the staff was helpful and she was able to describe the drinks confidently. We ordered a mango matcha latte through the kiosk where you can customize your drink. I liked it as it was a well balanced drink, but I prefer my matcha a little stronger. This didn't take long. However, the drinks took a bit longer to come out than normal, but since it was busy, I should've expected this. They have a points system too where you can earn points to eventually get freebies if you go often.
